Chapter 254: Shiki Escapes, The Hero Garp’s Fury

The pillar of light vanished. The suffocating hum between heaven and earth ceased abruptly, leaving only countless golden chakra fragnts drifting like sumr fireflies over Marineford.

"Cough, cough..."

In mid-air, a wretched figure lunged out from the wreckage of the falling Susanoo. Shiki no longer possessed the arrogance of a "god descending to earth." His iconic golden hair was a ss, his face was covered in cold sweat, and his eerie Mangekyo Sharingan was filled with terror and apprehension.

That was too close! Just a few ters higher, and the thing decomposed into molecules wouldn’t have been the Susanoo’s waist, but his own head! An Admiral actually using a sneak attack—simply outrageous.

Light-speed Dust Release? Who could possibly tank that?! Without any hesitation, the mont this thought crossed his mind, the gravitational field around Shiki’s body erupted.

Boom—!!!

The air was violently pushed aside as he shot upward like a rocket, zooming toward the sky ten thousand ters above at an incredible speed. Run! He had to put distance between them! The two monsters below were a violent freak who could crush space and a light-speed cheater who could decompose anything. Close-quarters combat? Forget it! Shiki was no longer acting crazy; his eyes had beco very "clear."

"Thinking of running?"

Just as Shiki retreated, a burly figure appeared where he had been, accompanied by the sonic boom of tearing air. Garp held a punching posture, his fist still crackling with black-red lightning and pale blue Senjutsu Chakra. But this punch hit nothing but air. Only the violent gale from the strike blasted a vacuum tunnel hundreds of ters long.

"Tch." Garp clicked his tongue in extre annoyance as he watched Shiki disappear into the clouds, now reduced to a tiny black speck. The battle intent he had built up to pierce the heavens was now stifled in his chest. It was frustrating! Incredibly frustrating! It was like finally filling up an ultimate bar only for soone to pull the internet plug.

Garp slowly turned around. His face was overcast, his eyes bulging as he glared at Kizaru. Kizaru was currently taking his ti dispersing the light from his barrier. Sensing Garp’s gaze, Kizaru tilted his head and put on his classic "how scary" expression.

"Oh my he ran so fast, Senior Shiki. I was actually thinking of firing another shot" Kizaru pouted, his tone carrying a hint of nonchalant teasing.

However, the next second, a roar detonated in his ear, making his eardrums ring. "BORSALINO!!!"

Garp used Moonwalk, appearing before Kizaru in an instant. That fist, the size of a sandbag, was almost pressed against Kizaru’s tinted glasses. "What the hell were you shooting at?! Who told you to interfere? Hah?! My punch was just about to twist his head off! You fired that light, scared him away, and completely ruined my rhythm!"

Garp was spitting everywhere, his deanor even more ferocious than when he was fighting Shiki. He was truly pissed! That feeling of fist-to-flesh combat against the Susanoo was a thrill he hadn’t experienced in decades. And just when he was getting into it, this yellow monkey stepped in and sliced the giant in half. It was like two people in a sacred duel when a bystander suddenly pulls out a Gatling gun and mows down the opponent. What kind of nonsense was that?!

Kizaru, sprayed with saliva, leaned back with so distaste. He pushed up his glasses, looking innocent. "My, my Garp-chūjō, that’s a bit unreasonable, isn’t it? In that situation, you looked like you were struggling That golden giant’s sword was about to hit your head. As a comrade fighting alongside you, I acted out of kindness to bail you out. Is that so wrong?"

Kizaru’s lazy tone and punchable face were like adding fuel to the fire.

"BULLSH*T!!!" The veins on Garp’s forehead bulged like writhing earthworms. "I was struggling?! I was luring him in, you hear ? If I didn’t let the old lion let his guard down, how could I catch him! Now look, he’s escaped!"

"Luring him in?" When Kizaru heard those words, his expression beca incredibly colorful. His mouth twitched, and his eyes widened behind his glasses as if he had heard an impossible fairy tale. He pointed at himself and then at the long-gone Shiki, completely stunned. He was truly baffled by this old rogue.

"Wait... Garp-chūjō, you have to have a conscience." Kizaru looked incredulous, forgetting even his signature "My~." "In that situation, the golden giant’s sword was about to shave your scalp! I was saving the day! That was the concern of a colleague! The helping hand of Justice!"

The more Kizaru spoke, the more aggrieved he sounded, his pouting lip enough to hang an oil jar on. "Forget about thanking , you’re yelling at ? In this day and age, doing a good deed gets you cursed. Is there no justice? Is there no law?" Kizaru spread his hands, shouting toward the surrounding Marines, trying to find so public support.

However, the surrounding Marines either looked at their boots or stared at the sky as if they had suddenly gone deaf. Are you kidding? Who would dare intervene in a fight between these two gods? Do they want to die?

"Law?" Garp laughed out of sheer anger, his fists cracking as the black-red Haki crackled around him like runaway electricity. "In front of my fists, I am the law! You sneaky old fox! You set up in the Dungeon, and you’re still doing it out here! I think you just need so ’training’!"

Before he finished, Garp’s fist, wrapped in Haki, was raised once more. Looking at his stance, he wasn’t planning on talking; he wanted to finish the fight he hadn’t completed on Kizaru!

"Oh my~ Sengoku-san! Save ! A mad dog is biting people!" Kizaru cried out, his body instantly turning into photons as he zipped behind Sengoku. His movents were heart-wrenchingly practiced.

"Enough!" Sengoku shouted, his face dark as the veins on his forehead pulsed. He stomped his foot.

Boom!

A golden shockwave spread out, forcibly separating the two old brats who were nearly a hundred and fifty years old combined. "Look at yourselves! A Marine Hero and a Marine Admiral! Brawling like hags in front of all these soldiers! You’ve thrown all the Marines’ dignity away!"
