Spandam refused to believe the other party had the capability to oppose a Buster Call. Did they really think they were one of the Four Emperors?
Even the Four Emperors would think twice before facing a Buster Call.
iser scoffed, not bothering to engage with the man.
Spandam paid no mind either, glancing at Rob Lucci as he said, "Rob Lucci, escort to the Gates of Justice."
Rob Lucci paused, then frowned. "Sir, I need to stay and deal with them."
"No, my safety must be guaranteed first."
"Then why not have Blueno escort you?"
With Blueno's Door-Door Fruit ability, he could easily transport Spandam to the escort ship in the shortest ti possible.
Spandam couldn't possibly be unaware of this, yet he still insisted on having Rob Lucci escort him... Why?
"Blueno's ability is better suited for retrieving Nico Robin," Spandam said, glancing at the pirates in the distance. "Though I hate to admit it, that Ninja is indeed quite troubleso."
Clearly, Spandam was afraid of being assassinated en route.
"Blueno, find an opportunity to retrieve Nico Robin," Spandam ordered.
Rob Lucci frowned. Against strong opponents, Blueno's ability might not be effective.
But upon further thought, Spandam wasn't entirely wrong. If they could retrieve Nico Robin first, the enemy would hesitate to act recklessly.
"Understood," Blueno replied.
"Good. Once you capture her, bring her to imdiately," Spandam said. "Rember, speed is crucial!"
"Is it because of the Buster Call?" Kalifa asked.
"Yes," Spandam nodded. "From the mont the Buster Call is initiated, the warships will arrive here in less than an hour."
"If they depart from Marine Headquarters, the ti could be even shorter. So you don't have much ti to deal with them. Understood?"
"Understood."
"Good." Spandam nodded, then motioned to Rob Lucci. "Let's go. We're leaving first."
The top priority was ensuring his own safety, followed by ordering CP9 to retrieve Nico Robin.
This way, both his life and his promotion would be secured!
Rob Lucci felt extrely frustrated but couldn't say much—after all, Spandam was his superior.
As long as Spandam remained the head of CP9, he had to obey orders, even if they displeased him.
"Chapapa~ The boss is really scared of dying, isn't he~?"
"Hahaha, attempting an assassination under the threat of a Buster Call?!" Jabra licked his lips. "Sohow, that excites ."
"Don't underestimate them. As the boss said, that Ninja isn't ordinary."
"Hmph, I was just careless earlier. I won't give him another chance to act recklessly."
"Yoyoi~ The tension before a big battle really gets the blood pumping~"
"Nico Robin..."
Blueno stared intently at Nico Robin, who was being held by iser. Since his mission was to retrieve Nico Robin, he would have to confront this man directly.
But this man had taken Jabra's punch head-on without a scratch. Could he really defeat him? For a mont, Blueno was filled with doubt. Yet, under Spandam's authority, he had no choice but to proceed—even if it ant possibly dying at the other's hands!
"Don't worry, we'll do our best to support you," Kalifa said.
"Mm."
"Pirates!" Kalifa called out to the Straw Hat Pirates. "If you want the key to save Nico Robin, co and get it from us!"
"The Buster Call has already been activated. You don't have much ti left!"
"Shave!"
With that, all mbers of Cipher Pol 9 vanished from the spot.
"If the Buster Call warships are coming from Marine Headquarters, they'll arrive very quickly," Franky said.
Though it was unclear how the Marines managed to move freely through the Calm Belt, they could indeed use that technology to reach Enies Lobby swiftly.
"They'll co even faster, huh?" iser grinned. "I actually hope they get here sooner."
Though their earlier clash had only been preliminary, the only one among CP9 worth his attention was that pigeon guy. But since Luffy had already claid him as his prey, iser wouldn't interfere.
For now, all he had to do was wait for the Buster Call to arrive and deal with that nuisance. Of course, if any foolish CP9 mbers crossed his path, he wouldn't mind eliminating them along the way.
Just then, the bridge below began to rumble violently—it was descending.
"It's the Franky Family!!" Usopp exclaid. "They did it!"
While the Straw Hats had been heading to the Courthouse, the others had gone to seize control of the bridge's chanism. It seed they had succeeded.
"BOOM!!"
"BOOM!!"
"BOOM!!"
Suddenly, several cannon shots struck the bridge, forcibly halting its descent until it stopped completely.
"Pirates, you won't cross this bridge!" a Marine roared. "Even if we have to destroy it, you're not getting through!!"
"That's right!"
"Dammit, those bastards," Zambai muttered, his expression grim. "It's over. The bridge is wrecked."
Without the bridge, how would the Straw Hat Boy and his crew get across?
"The bridge?" iser blinked. Why would they need that?
"Hm?"
Noticing the Den Den Mushi ringing, Nami pulled it out and answered. A voice imdiately ca through.
"Hey, pirates! What's taking you so long?"
"But the bridge is broken—"
"No problem! Just jump down without worry!" Kokoro laughed heartily. "I'll catch you!"
After downing a swig of liquor, Kokoro slamd her foot on the accelerator.
"Jump down...?"
"Hey~"
Luffy turned to Nami with a mischievous grin.
Nami instantly sensed danger. Whenever this idiot smiled like that, nothing good ever followed!!
"I can use Water Release Ninjutsu to help everyone..." Before iser could finish his sentence, he noticed a slender arm appearing behind him and Franky, wrapping around their shoulders.
iser's expression changed instantly, a sense of familiarity flooding his mind.
"Not again, seriously?"
"What do you an?"
Franky looked confused at the hand gripping his shoulder, unsure what the Straw Hat Boy was up to.
Unfortunately, no one answered him. The only response was Luffy leaping with all his might.
"Everyone, we're taking off!!"
Propelled by Luffy's strength, the group uncontrollably plumted downward.
"You bastard!!"
"Luffy, why do you always do this?!"
"I swear I'll cut you down one day!"
"My Water Release could've gotten us across!!" iser roared. "Luffy, you damn idiot, I'm gonna die because of you one of these days!!"
To prevent Nico Robin from getting hurt, iser had no choice but to hold her in front of him, cradling her protectively in a princess carry.
The next mont, the incredibly fast Rocketman shot out, barely managing to catch everyone mid-fall.
"Ahahaha, the plan's working!" Kokoro laughed heartily. "Brace for impact, everyone! We're landing!"
"BOOM!!"
