Ben felt blood from his forehead. He thought he needed to give it his all here. He thought this was going to be his toughest fight so far.
“Demon Beam,” Ben said as he focused his energy in his hand. He raised his hand and shot a : one -handed attack. The beam went towards Phantasm Whitebeard. Phantasm Whitebeard moved his naginata and deflected the attack to the right. A small explosion was seen behind him.
"Demon’s Abyssal Arrows," Ben said as he summoned a flurry of black energy arrows that materialized around his body. He launched them at Phantasm Whitebeard, each arrow streaking through the air like a harbinger of destruction.
"Kaishin," Phantasm Whitebeard countered, pulling back his massive fist and unleashing a devastating shockwave. The sheer force of his punch fractured the air itself, sending rippling tremors outward. The abyssal arrows shattered instantly, reduced to scattered remnants of black energy.
Ben clenched his fist. "Demon’s Abyssal Whip," Ben said as a long, crackling energy whip erupted from his palm, twisting and lashing forward. With a powerful snap, the whip struck Phantasm Whitebeard’s naginata, knocking it off course for a brief mont. Seizing the opening, Ben launched himself forward, fire surging in his hand.
"Demon’s Inferno Fist," Ben added as black flas erupted from his clenched fist, swirling violently as he drove it straight into Phantasm Whitebeard’s chest. The impact sent a wave of dark fire spreading across his massive fra, consuming the area around the point of contact in searing heat.
Nearby, Kaya knelt beside Maya, pressing a small bottle into her hands. "Here, drink this," Kaya remarked.
Maya nodded, exhaling softly as she took it. "Thank you, Kaya,” she responded.
Kaya simply smiled. "It’s nothing," she said. They both turned their gaze upward, they saw the fire from Ben’s attack still raging around Phantasm Whitebeard’s chest.
Conis, observing the scene, frowned. "It’s not doing much..." she murmured, taking a sip from the drink Kaya had just handed her.
Phantasm Whitebeard’s gaze darkened. He lifted his massive hand. "Kabutowari," Phantasm Whitebeard said.
Ben barely had ti to react before an iron grip seized his skull. An unbearable pressure crushed down on his head, vibrations ripping through his bones. His vision blurred, a violent ringing filling his ears. The sheer force made it feel as if his skull was about to crack open.
Then, with a mighty heave, Phantasm Whitebeard hurled Ben backward. He slamd into the ground, his body bouncing before skidding to a stop. Dust and debris clouded the air as Ben groaned, pain pulsing through his head
“Ben,” Vivi shouted. She got angry seeing Ben, her lover hurt. Vivi's body began to undergo a dramatic transformation, her form shifted. Her fingers elongated, her nails sharpening into sleek, black claws. From her back, a pair of large, imposing wings sprouted. A long, black tail erged from the base of her spine, swishing back and forth. On her head, two small, curved horns began to form on her forehead. Her eyes were red and her chest grew large.
“Dark Necromantic Grasp: Followers,” Vivi said. A dark aura began to emanate from her body. With a flick of her clawed hand, she created a dark fla. She touched the ground and the flas got stronger. The flas began to take shape, forming into two distinct figures. As the shadows solidified, the forms of Cherry and Ivy beca apparent. Their faces looked exactly like them but with a twisted, demonic edge. Their eyes were hollow and glowing with an ominous light. Their bodies transford further, their skin going red. They had black wings on their backs which were tattered and torn. Horns curled from their foreheads and they had long tails.
“Ivy and Cherry,” Eraude said as she slowly got up.
“Dark Necromantic Follower Hold,” Vivi commanded. The two Undead Demons Ivy and Cherry rushed towards Phantasm Whitebeard. Phantasm Whitebeard moved his naginata and slashed the two Undead Demon shadows. Their bodies split in half as they collapsed to the ground.
Maya got up. “Hex`s Blast,” Maya said as she concentrated. She felt the sword draw her energy. The red got brighter. Maya then fired a red beam at Phantasm Whitebeard. It flew through the air at great pace.
“Gekishin,” Phantasm Whitebeard directly cracks the air in front of the shockwave. The beam exploded and the shockwaves were sent towards Maya. Maya got hit by shockwaves. She was launched up in the air but landed on her feet. She spat blood but held her sword.
“Heat Nova Blast,” Conis said as she planted the Heat Javelin firmly into the ground. She channelled the energy until it reached critical mass, then released a massive explosion of heat and flas underneath Phantasm Whitebeard.
“Strongest Rampage,” Phantasm Whitebeard said as he jumped in the air and ca down. Phantasm Whitebeard slamd down on the ground sending vibrations. The fire beneath him disappeared and there were small tremors on the battlefield. Conis and Maya held their ground.
Kaya gave a drink to Mikita. “Thanks Kaya,” Mikita said as she felt her foot recover.
“Your foot seems okay now,” Kaya said.
“It is now, thanks to you and that drink,” Mikita said as she got up.
“He is tough,” Kaya remarked.
“But we are stronger,” Zala said as she got up. She wiped the blood from her mouth.
“Slip on Slide," Alvida said as she leaned forward, letting her feet slide effortlessly across the ground. She got close to Phantasm Whitebeard. "Kanabo Reaper," Alvida added as she swung the kanabo in a wide arc.
Phantasm Whitebeard brought his massive naginata down in a crushing arc, the sheer force behind the swing splitting the air with a deafening crack. Alvida t the strike head-on. The instant their weapons clashed, a thunderous shockwave erupted, sending ripples of force tearing through the battlefield. The impact fractured the ground beneath them, sending shards of rock and debris hurtling in all directions. Alvida’s arms shook under the imnse pressure, her footing faltering. Before she could regain control, the overwhelming force sent her flying backward.
Vivi held her hand out. “Dark Neroctic Beam,” Vivi said as she shot a thick dark beam from her left hand. It went towards Phantasm Whitebeard and hit his arm. The beam went through to the other side.
“Vivi hurt him,” Raki remarked.
Kaya saw the opportunity. “Angel Beam,” Kaya said as she fired a one handed yellow energy blast towards Phantasm Whitebeard.
“Liquid Cluster,” Honey said as she created a small red ball in both her hands. She then threw it. The ball hurled towards Phantasm Whitebeard. She then quickly ford around two in her hand and threw it at him. The first red ball hit him and exploded. It was followed up by the second and third and fourth. The explosion was small but localised.
Saphir got up with help from Eraude. “Shoryo no Mizu,” Saphir said as she threw a handful of water drops at Phantasm Whitebeard.
Nojiko was also up. “Cloud Surge,” Nojiko said as she created dense storm clouds around Phantasm Whitebeard. “Lightning Barrage,” she quickly added. The storm clouds darkened. Lighting bolts hit Phantasm Whitebeard. There was a thick black smoke.
“Mystic Beam,” Tashigi said as her sword glowed an intense green. A concentrated green beam of energy fired straight from her blade, cutting through the battlefield at Phantasm Whitebeard.
“Did we get him?” Marianne asked.
“Tenchi ido,” Phantasm Whitebeard said got out from the smoke. He grabbed the air and pulled it downwards. As he got low enough he tossed into the air and they fell back down.
“Ouch,” Marianne remarked.
“He still is healthy,” Rubis said.
At that mont, Phantasm Whitebeard coughed blood.
“Maybe not,” Eraude said. She looked to see his health was deteriorating.
“He is old and sick,” Ben remarked. He got up thinking this version of Whitebeard has those health issues. “Now is our chance,” he added.
