Yet Roy rely flickered, easily evading these deadly attacks.
He moved like the wind, continuing deeper into the Root base while casually firing several energy blasts behind him. The explosions left the passage in ruins, sealing off the path for any pursuers.
Roy flew toward the strongest chakra signature his senses could detect.
But just as he neared his target, several powerful Wind Release techniques slamd into him like a hurricane.
"Wind Release, Vacuum Jade!"
At that mont, Danzo stepped out from the shadows. His sinister gaze imdiately recognized the Akatsuki uniform Roy wore, and his expression turned vicious.
"Akatsuki? How dare you co to Konoha to stir up trouble!" Danzo bellowed.
Seeing this, Roy rejoiced inwardly. He imdiately began his act, shifting the bla unhesitatingly onto the Akatsuki: "Danzo, your cris are heinous."
"I've co to avenge Yahiko! You killed him, and today, you die!"
Danzo's mind churned with suspicion about this person's identity, but as Konoha's designated scapegoat, he knew that if soone ca seeking revenge, they were probably in the right.
After all, he had done so much dirty work over the years that he could no longer keep track of who was who.
Thus, he didn't dwell on it, letting out a cold snort instead. "So, Hiruzen's intel was accurate—Akatsuki is indeed targeting . Perfect timing. You'll make fine spoils for my inauguration as Hokage!"
A fierce gleam shone in Danzo's eyes. As Konoha's scapegoat, he possessed extensive combat experience and powerful jutsu, and he wouldn't back down easily.
"Wind Release, Vacuum Great Jade!"
Danzo growled, his hands swiftly forming seals to create a massive energy sphere.

Roy was not going all out; he wasn't in a hurry to kill Danzo. He wanted all of Danzo's Sharingan, which ant he couldn't allow Danzo a chance to use Izanagi.
It would be such a waste to use such precious Sharingan so recklessly.
