With the alliance formally established, Marco's "Choice" quest was completed, granting him 1,000 attribute points and bringing his total to 4,000.
Marco exhaled softly, muttering to himself, "Only 4,000… still a long way from 30,000."
Suddenly, the system's AI voice chid in: "New quest issued…"
A translucent panel appeared before him, displaying the latest quest.
Quest: Overthrow the World Governnt, Slay World King Imu
The World Governnt has ruled for eight hundred years and is deeply corrupt at its roots. Overthrow the World Governnt and slay World King Imu. Reward: 50,000 attribute points.
Sub-bounties:
Kill a Celestial Dragon's ordinary guard: 10 attribute points
Kill a CP Organization mber: 200 attribute points
Kill a Celestial Dragon: 500 attribute points
Kill a Holy Knights mber: 5,000 attribute points
Kill a Gorosei: 10,000 attribute points
Kill Imu: 50,000 attribute points
Marco's eyes glead. This was the type of bounty quest he loved, offering vast opportunities to grind attribute points. When he first transmigrated, his initial quest—rescuing Ace—had a similar structure.
"Finally, a quest where I can grind attribute points!" he exclaid. These kinds of quests allowed rapid accumulation, almost like leveling up in a ga.
Since the Marineford War ended nearly half a year ago, all quests issued had been one-ti tasks. No continuous bounty quests like "Save Ace" had appeared until now. After his confrontation with Kaido, Marco had fallen into a brief period of uncertainty. His strength had reached Strong General Emperor Level, and further growth would now rely entirely on the system. Yet the system rarely issued quests, and those it did were extrely challenging—like defeating Kaido or surpassing the old era to beco the strongest of the new era—quests Marco could not yet complete.
The quest to defeat the Blackbeard Pirates was slightly more attainable, but even then, victory might not guarantee further power growth. Upgrading his Three Types of Haki from top-tier to legendary required 30,000 attribute points, and evolving his Devil Fruit again demanded at least 50,000. Gradually, the increasing difficulty of quests had placed Marco in a predicant—he was willing but unable.
He hadn't expected such a breakthrough to appear so soon.
Unlike "Save Ace," which lasted only a few hours, the "Overthrow the World Governnt" quest was enduring. As long as Imu lived, the bounties on Celestial Dragons and CP Organization mbers would remain, providing a continuous opportunity to grind attribute points.
During the Marineford War, Marco had seen the benefits of such quests firsthand. In only a few hours, by eliminating Marines, he had gained thousands of attribute points. If Ace had not returned to the New World to end the quest, Marco was certain he would have reached King Level strength by now.
Examining the quest again, he muttered, "Celestial Dragons are usually in the Holy Land, Mary Geoise… Even if a few descend occasionally, the numbers are too few."
He realized quickly that grinding points wouldn't be easy unless he could storm the Holy Land. Otherwise, where could he find enough Celestial Dragons to level up?
An idea ford in his mind. "I'll provoke Kaido, see if I can go with him to Mary Geoise for a reckless charge," he muttered.
The alliance celebration continued for a day and a night. Kaido presented all the delicacies of Wano to entertain the Phoenix Pirates and Big Mom Pirates. Word of the Three Emperors Alliance—Beasts Pirates, Phoenix Pirates, and Big Mom Pirates—spread quickly throughout the seas.
Both the World Governnt and other factions were closely watching. Any agreent among the Four Emperors could spell catastrophic upheaval.
In Mary Geoise, Pangaea Castle. The highest authorities, the Gorosei, convened.
Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro said solemnly, "The Three Emperors Alliance… the worst-case scenario has occurred."
"Indeed," Saint Topman Warcury added gravely, "this alliance is far stronger than the Rocks Pirates ever were. It is probably the most formidable pirate force the World Governnt has faced in eight hundred years."
Saint Marcus Mars said coldly, "We assud they were re hooligans, expanding territories at most. We did not anticipate such ambition."
Jaygarcia Saturn Saint stated seriously, "This alliance cannot be left unchecked. A preemptive strike is necessary."
The other Gorosei nodded in agreent. Shepherd Ten. Pit Saint said solemnly, "Thanks to the World Conscription, the Marines have replenished their forces lost during Marineford, and Admirals Fujitora and Aramaki have joined. Only the Seven Warlords of the Sea are not yet at full strength."
Saint Marcus Mars snorted with disdain. "Now, with the Three Emperors Alliance active in the New World, the Seven Warlords are clearly insufficient. The world balance has been disrupted."
