Now reading: Chapter 106 106: 106: Rayleigh's Interception from One Piece: I'm not Roger, a Action novel by Zeph2.

Marco destroyed one pirate ship and imdiately crashed into another. The overwhelming force of his Phoenix form sent shockwaves across the battlefield, terrifying many pirates into leaping straight into the sea to escape.

As his next target, Charlotte Dosmarche, Big Mom's fourteenth son, hurriedly jumped forward and slashed upward in an attempt to stop him. The difference in strength was obvious. Marco's azure wings swept through him with a single strike, knocking him unconscious and sending him crashing into the sea.

A streak of sword energy tore through the sky in pursuit of Marco, but the Phoenix easily avoided it with a sharp turn.

Realizing she could not reach him in the air, Charlotte Smoothie bent her long legs and began to gather strength.

"Damn it, Marco, don't get ahead of yourself."

As the strongest fighter present besides Big Mom, she had no choice but to act. However, before she could make her move, Vista blocked her path once again. His twin blades swept forward, their edges grazing dangerously close to her.

Smoothie frowned, irritation clear on her face.

"Vista, move. I don't have ti for you."

"Unfortunate for you, I do."

Their blades clashed repeatedly, flashes of steel cutting through the air. Smoothie's wide and forceful style could not shake him off, leaving her locked in place. anwhile, with no one restraining him, Marco destroyed yet another pirate ship in the sky.

Watching this, Charlotte Linlin erupted in fury and gave chase. Unfortunately, Zeus could not match Marco's speed, and the distance between them only widened. Her expression darkened.

She abandoned the pursuit and instead grabbed the hat on her head, transforming it into a massive sword.

"You dare ignore ? Then I will wipe out your forces instead."

She raised the blade as thunder and fire wrapped around it.

"Ikoku…"

Before the attack could be unleashed, a streak of sword energy shot toward her, sharp enough to trigger her instincts.

"Clang!"

She blocked the attack with her sword, but Zeus was not as fortunate. The cloud was sliced apart, causing her footing to vanish as she began to fall.

"Zeus, hurry up."

"Coming, Mama."

Zeus reford quickly and caught her. Regaining her balance, she turned toward the attacker, her eyes narrowing.

The familiar golden hair, relaxed yet dangerous expression, and composed stance made her pupils shrink.

Silvers Rayleigh stood before her.

"Linlin, it's been a while. Four years, if I recall correctly."

"So it's you, Rayleigh."

The two faced each other, their presence alone enough to distort the battlefield. Their Conqueror's Haki surged outward, colliding violently.

Dark red lightning crackled through the air as their wills clashed.

Pirates nearby collapsed instantly, foam at their mouths as they lost consciousness. The rest fled in panic, leaving the battlefield to the two monsters whose fight would decide everything.

For over ten seconds, neither side gained the upper hand.

"Zeus, descend."

As Zeus lowered her, Big Mom spoke again.

"Rayleigh, are you the one who gave Marco the confidence to act like this?"

Rayleigh lifted his blade, his expression steady.

"You're underestimating him. After Edward Newgate's death, he might take another step forward. When that happens, he won't be far from us."

Big Mom's expression hardened. She did not believe Marco would ever reach their level.

"Hmph. We'll see. Since you're here, where is Gol D. Roger?"

Her Observation Haki spread across the battlefield, searching relentlessly.

Rayleigh sighed slightly.

"He's not here. This ti, I'm your opponent."

"You think you can defeat ?"

"That depends on the fight."

Her fighting spirit surged. Her gaze lingered on Rayleigh's youthful appearance, sothing that did not match his age.

"Your rejuvenation, that's Roger's doing, right? That life-extending dicine, do you still have any?"

Rayleigh smiled faintly.

"If you want answers, you'll have to ask him yourself."

He already understood her thoughts. No aging powerhouse could ignore the temptation of restored youth.

At sixty-six, Big Mom had reached the final stage of her peak. Decline was inevitable in the coming years. The existence of such dicine made it impossible for her to remain indifferent.

She snorted, masking her desire.

"Even if you don't say it, I know there isn't much of it. Enough talk. Prepare yourself."

Their auras exploded once more. Conqueror's Haki coated their weapons, dark red lightning dancing along their blades.

Big Mom charged forward on Zeus, her massive sword swinging down. Rayleigh stepped in to et her.

The clash shook the heavens.

"Boom!"

A violent storm of Haki swept across the entire island. Trees were uprooted, waves surged violently, and even the clouds in the sky were scattered.

Every strong fighter on the battlefield turned toward the center of the storm. They all understood what it ant.

This was the battle that would decide the war.

Even Byrnndi World frowned as he felt the pressure. Once, he had envied such power, the might of advanced Conqueror's Haki. Yet after decades at sea, he had never awakened it.

"Advanced Conqueror's Haki… monsters."

His gaze hardened as he threw another devastating punch, forcing Charlotte Cracker back.

"The remaining dicine in Aether's hands… I will take it."
