In the deepest part of the fortress, in a room littered with toys, Trebol jumped to his feet. "I say, what's going on?"

"It seems soone has infiltrated," Sugar said, popping a grape into her mouth. "They've activated the super-bear outside."

She looked like a little girl, dressed in a polka-dot dress, a monocle over her left eye. She appeared to be about ten years old, but she was actually nineteen. After eating the Hobby-Hobby Fruit, her age had been frozen.

"I say, all toys, go stop the intruder!" Trebol commanded, his face grim. "Sugar, I'm taking you back to the executive tower. Diamante and Lao G are there."

"You're being a little overprotective, don't you think?" Sugar said, unfazed. She had always been well-protected by Doflamingo and the others.

"Better safe than sorry!"

"Alright."

Just as they were about to leave—

"ROOM."

An invisible space expanded through the walls. Trebol and Sugar both started, whipping their heads around.

The thick stone wall was being sliced apart as if it were tofu. The toys were also being cut to pieces.

Through the gap in the severed wall, Law strode in, his sword drawn.

"L-Law! It's you! Trafalgar Law!" Trebol shrieked.

"It's been a while, Trebol," Law said with a smile—a smile laced with contempt.

"Trebol, do you know him?" Sugar asked curiously. She had joined the Donquixote Family after Law had left.

"Law! How dare you show your face here, you traitor!" Trebol screeched. "Unforgivable!"

Law's smile faded. "Family? Did Doflamingo think about family when he killed Corazon with his own hands?"

"Corazon defied Doffy's will!" Trebol sputtered, enraged. "He was the one who betrayed the family first! Doffy was just enforcing the family's rules! What do you know, you little brat?? Doflamingo is going to be the King!"

"King?" Law scoffed. "Him?"

He suddenly swapped places with a piece of the wall. Sugar, who had been stealthily approaching while he was talking to Trebol, reached out to touch him.

But Law knew her ability. Did they really think he wouldn't be on his guard?

He had been deliberately provoking Trebol, pretending to be distracted, to lure her in.

The mont before she touched him, he swapped places with a chunk of rock inside his ROOM and, in the sa motion, swung his blade at her.

"Amputate."

Sugar watched in horror as her body was sliced into seven or eight pieces. There was no pain, no blood... but the shock was too much.

To see her own body in pieces...

"Ah...!" she scread, and fainted.

"Sugar!" Trebol panicked.

Sugar was the linchpin of Doflamingo's control over Dressrosa. He was her personal bodyguard. If anything happened to her...

"Betcha-Betcha Launcher!"

Trebol, in a rage, fired a glob of sticky mucus from his body. At the sa ti, he secreted a thick, viscous chain and tried to wrap it around Sugar's "pieces."

Paracia: Sticky-Sticky Fruit. A truly disgusting ability.

Law dodged the mucus and, with a flick of his sword coated in Armant Haki, severed the chain. Then he unleashed a furious assault on Trebol.

His powerful sword strikes howled through the air. Trebol was forced to harden his mucus, to block, to defend.

Law didn't use his fruit, just the pure speed of his blade, each strike faster than the last.

Finally, Trebol couldn't keep up.

"Death Blade!"

Law brought his sword down with both hands. Blood sprayed as a fatal, cleaving wound opened up on Trebol's body.

"G's Engraving!" a voice roared from outside.

A figure smashed through the wall, posed in the shape of the letter "G," and charged at him with incredible speed.

Law had already foreseen it. He swapped places with another object, dodging the attack, then grabbed Sugar and fled.

His mission—to find and capture Sugar—was half-complete.

This was Doflamingo's stronghold. He couldn't afford a prolonged fight.

And he knew the newcor.

Lao G.

He had taught Law martial arts, how to fight with his body. He was much stronger than Trebol. Getting tangled up with him would only draw more enemies.

Lao G frowned, glancing at the seriously wounded Trebol.

"It's Law! It's Law! Don't worry about !" Trebol coughed up blood. His physical injuries were nothing compared to the fear of seeing the kingdom he had spent years building crumble in an instant. "Sugar... stop him!"

Lao G understood.

"LAW!" he roared, the veins on his head bulging, and gave chase.

At that mont, with Sugar unconscious, all the toys in Dressrosa began to transform back into people, their lost mories flooding back.

"Father! You're my father..." a young woman cried, seeing the one-legged toy that had been her companion for so long transform into a man.

"Kyros... Father!" Rebecca wept with joy.

"I rember... I rember everything..."

More and more citizens awoke from their daze.

"What's happening? What's going on?"

King Riku walked out onto the street, stunned. After Doflamingo had usurped his throne, he had been living as a gladiator in the colosseum under the na "Ricky," biding his ti, waiting for a chance for revenge. This... this could be it.

"Doflamingo! That bastard turned into a toy!" a man roared. He was one of the gladiators who had been defeated in the arena. They were all burning with rage.

"Doflamingo owes us an explanation!"

"Damn him! We've been tricked!"

"Doflamingo! What have you done?? I forgot my own child...!"

A chorus of questions rose from the streets as the people of Dressrosa began to rise up.

——————————————

"What??"

On the deck of the Flamingo, Doflamingo was still wondering why Buffalo's "package" hadn't detonated when the news from his ho base arrived, sending a cold sweat down his spine.

Sugar was in trouble? The toys were back to normal?

It was like being struck by lightning. His brilliant mind was reeling. The veins on his forehead bulged.

He was furious.

In an instant, he understood. It was a trap. G-5 had been fully prepared.

And soone had struck at the heart of his operation.

Who? Who leaked the information??

I'll kill them!

"Pica! Gladius! Baby 5...!"

Doflamingo's eyes scanned the faces of his executives, and they all flinched.

"We're going back," he snarled. "Now."

Dressrosa was his foundation. He couldn't lose it.

A sudden gust of wind swept down from the sky. Doflamingo looked up. A figure was now standing on the head of the flamingo at the ship's bow.

Jin appeared, a brilliant smile on his face. "Doffy," he said, "you just got here. What's the hurry?"

It wasn't enough to defeat him—he had to break his spirit.

Doflamingo knew that Law was with Jin. When he got back and put the pieces together, he would figure out what had happened.

So Jin might as well show himself now and twist the knife.

"Who's there??" the executives and their subordinates all drew their weapons, aiming them at Jin.

"Who are you?"

Doflamingo froze. His pupils contracted. The veins on his forehead throbbed, his face darker than the night sky.

"It's... you!" he spat, the words forced through his gritted teeth, his eyes blazing with a furious fire.

"It's ," Jin said with a grin. "Surprise!"

Surprise, my ass.

Doflamingo cursed him internally, but he forced a smile. "Fuffuffuffu... what are you doing here?"

The intelligence he had received had said that the Empress was still in Paradise. How had Jin gotten to the New World? Had he teleported? It didn't make any sense.

Doflamingo knew he was no match for him. He had to stall, to wait for Kaido to arrive.

"Do I need to report my movents to you?" Jin said with a smile. "And you? What are you all doing out here in the middle of the night? Up to no good? Oh, I heard you're having a little trouble at ho. Is everything alright? Need a hand?"

Doflamingo was so angry his nose was practically crooked, but Jin was stronger. There was nothing he could do.

Thunder rolled across the sky. Lightning crashed into the sea, sending up massive plus of water.

Jin glanced up.

Doflamingo smiled.

A dragon's roar echoed through the clouds, and a massive, dark shadow appeared.

"You think Kaido can save you?" Jin said, and then he vanished.

Doflamingo instinctively threw up a guard.

In the next instant, he was smashed through the deck of his ship, leaving a massive hole.

"Young Master!"

"You bastard...!"

Before they could even raise their weapons, they were all sent flying by an even greater force.

One by one, they fell.

In a single instant, Doflamingo and all of his top executives had been defeated.
