Tap… tap… tap!

Luffy activated his Observation Haki to the fullest and ran in a certain direction.

It was as if invisible stairs existed in the air, allowing him to step higher and higher with every stride.

"We should go back and find Luffy!" Sanji said.

"But if we go back, we're finished!" Usopp said nervously. "And you know his ability. He'll definitely be fine!"

"We're going back," Zoro said firmly, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword. "He's our captain."

"So this… is what companions are!" Bon Clay burst into tears.

"Everyone, I'm back!"

A clear voice rang through the sky.

Everyone looked over in shock.

They saw Luffy running across the air toward the ship.

"You've got to be kidding … Is there anything Luffy can't do?" Usopp muttered, completely stunned.

By this ti, Luffy had already landed back on the ship.

"Full speed ahead! Let's go welco our new companion!"

"Yeah! Move out!"

"Straw Hat boy… we won't be going with you," Bon Clay shouted tearfully at Luffy. "Goodbye, my friend!"

After saying their farewells, the Going rry and the duck boat parted ways, each heading toward their appointed desHination.

On a Marine warship behind them—

"Captain Hina, they've split up!" a Marine soldier reported.

"Hina understands," Hina replied calmly. "Chase the duck boat."

She sounded sowhat helpless.

She knew that if they wanted to capture the Straw Hat Crew, they would need Marines at least at the Vice Admiral level.

anwhile, in the Royal Palace.

"Vivi, why did you call for us?"

King Nefertari Cobra and Igaram pushed open the door and walked in.

"Papa—no… Father, please sit."

Vivi placed two chairs down.

"Igaram, you too. There's sothing I need to tell you."

Soon after, the speech began.

A man who looked extrely similar to Vivi stepped onto the platform.

"Look! It's Princess Vivi!"

"Princess Vivi!"

In the distance, the real Vivi picked up a microphone and began her speech.

"I went on a short journey of adventure.

It was a journey across the dark sea… a journey searching through despair.

Beyond our country lies an endless ocean.

There are islands filled with unimaginable power, creatures I had never seen before, and scenery as beautiful as a dream."

"The music played by the waves… sotis calm, gently carrying away small worries.

Sotis fierce, tearing apart fragile hearts—until in the end, you can only smile."

"In the darkest storms, I encountered a small ship.

That ship seed to push forward and say:

'Can't you see that ray of dawn?'"

"A small ship that never loses its direction, even in darkness.

Dancing across towering waves."

"It never fights against the sea… yet its bow always moves forward.

Even sailing against the wind, they point ahead and say—

'Look! The dawn is finally here!'"

"Perhaps one day history will call this nothing but an illusion.

But to … that was the most real thing of all."

"What is she talking about?"

"It must be so unknown Marine battle story!"

The crowd murmured among themselves.

Out at sea—

"Vivi?"

Chopper stood on the ship, constantly looking around, hoping to spot a familiar figure.

"Did you hear that speech?" Zoro said solemnly. "That really was Vivi's voice."

"It's just a broadcast ceremony in Alubarna," Sanji said calmly. "She's already decided not to co."

"Let's go. It's already past noon."

"Give up, Luffy. When she was with us… she had already changed."

Sanji spoke gently.

For once, he didn't seem like the lovestruck cook—but more like a monk who had seen many things in life.

"No," Luffy said, pressing down the brim of his straw hat.

"Whether she decides to board the ship or not… she will definitely co."

His deep eyes were filled with unwavering determination.

anwhile, in Alubarna—

"What's going on?"

"What's happening here?!"

"Show your face, fake princess!"

"No, Captain Igaram—!"

The crowd began throwing bricks, barrels, and anything they could find toward the stage.

"Where is Princess Vivi actually giving her speech?!"

"Everyone!"

A clear voice rang across the harbor.

Vivi appeared on the shore.

"PRINCESS VIVI!"

Sanji instantly reverted from calm monk to lovestruck idiot.

"So… Vivi!"

Luffy shouted loudly.

"Are you… getting on the ship?"

"I'm sorry, Luffy… I ca to say goodbye."

Tears stread uncontrollably from Vivi's eyes.

She raised the microphone.

"I can't go with you anymore.

Thank you… for everything you've done for .

Even though I still want to go on adventures…

I love this country too much."

"Where is Princess Vivi?!"

"Move aside! Captain Igaram! We don't want to watch your performance!"

The crowd burst into laughter as Igaram danced on stage to distract them.

No one dared tell the truth.

"So… I can't go."

"I… I…"

"Let's make a mark with an X," Luffy said.

"Why?" Nami asked.

"Aren't we pirates?" Luffy replied.

"But that mark usually ans soone is dead," Usopp said.

"It's fine. An X will do," Luffy said with a grin.

"Vivi will look cool with it, right?"

"Yes," Vivi nodded. "I think it's great too."

"Anything is fine. Just draw it already," Zoro said impatiently.

"That's not the important part."

"I… I… Even though I'm staying here…"

"If we et again soday…"

Vivi's voice broke as tears stread down her face.

"Will you still call … your companion?"

"Did you hear that?"

"That princess seems connected to the Straw Hats!"

The speech had drawn the attention of Marines who were still pursuing Mr. 2 Bon Clay.

"The princess is a pirate's companion?!"

"How could this be?!"

After a long silence—

Vivi stood there, stunned.

One by one, her forr companions raised their left arms.

On them was the mark of their friendship.

No matter what happens in the future—

The mark on their left arm will always an:

Companions.

Set sail.

Gather every dream.

Search for your own goal.

Dozens of nautical miles away from Alabasta, a bicycle slowly moved across the sea.

Wherever it passed, the ocean froze solid.

Deep beneath the water, Sea Kings trembled in fear—

As if the true monster was the one riding above the surface.

"Ara ara… they've already left?"

Admiral Aokiji (Kuzan) gazed lazily into the distance, as if his eyes could see across the sea toward the sailing Going rry.

"Well… if that's the case, there's nothing I can do."

Aokiji didn't change direction.

He intended to see for himself the aftermath of the war in Alabasta—

A nation that had been turned upside down by one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea.

Alabasta Arc – End

The chapter is a bit short, but that's fine.

I finished most of the Alabasta arc in just 9 days—about 21 chapters. I think that's pretty impressive.

The story should get recomnded during the National Day holiday, so there are still a few days left!

The author is currently in a low period. Supporting the author now is like sending charcoal in the snow.

This is the best chance to beco an early supporter!
