Now reading: Chapter 41 41: The Banquet After the War! Departure, a True from One Piece: SSS-Rank Haki at Age Seventeen, a Action novel by chakraflow789.

The song of the Golden Bell echoed throughout the sky.

In the end, together with God Enel's Ark Maxim, it fell into the sea of clouds under the watchful eyes of the Shandians and the people of Skypiea.

It was as if the age of war and false gods had co to an end.

A brand-new era was about to begin for Skypiea.

The ringing of the bell lit the lamp of Shandora, the glorious lost city.

The promised bell that had taken four hundred years to ring at last resounded.

Even if the journey of the floating island was long, those distant mories would never be forgotten.

The war was over.

Both the Shandians and the people of Skypiea rushed toward Upper Yard (Apayado).

They wrapped ropes around tree trunks and climbed up the steep cliffs.

The Skypieans excitedly scooped up handfuls of soil—

the Vearth they had always longed for.

The Shandians leapt and cheered—

this was the holand they had dread of.

Sunlight poured down upon the ruins.

The wounded warriors were treated for their injuries,

but the lives that had been lost could never return.

"Zoro, Sanji! Your injuries are too severe!"

Chopper treated them with a serious expression.

"Don't worry about us. Go check on that guy first. We can wait."

Zoro calmly glanced at Wyper, who lay unconscious nearby.

Chopper hurried over with his tiny legs and examined him.

"His bones are shattered…!"

Sanji simply held a cigarette in his hand, looking as if none of it concerned him.

"By the way… I wonder where Nami and Conis went."

anwhile, Luffy followed a sll and arrived at a warehouse.

"Luffy, why did you run all the way here?" Nami asked, puzzled, though she didn't try to stop him.

"Yep! This is the place!"

Luffy sniffed the air, then punched the warehouse door.

BOOM!

The door exploded open, revealing a mountain of food inside.

"So you ca here to look for food…"

Nami held her forehead helplessly.

After defeating Enel, Luffy had rushed here imdiately. She thought it was sothing important.

But in the end…

Luffy was still Luffy.

Reliable—but not entirely reliable.

While Nami was lost in thought, Luffy had already stuffed all the food into a giant sack.

"Let's go! Nami—ti for a banquet!"

Grinning widely, Luffy dragged a sack several tis larger than himself toward the ruins.

Nami hurried after him.

"Is it really okay to leave Wyper with the Blue Sea people?" a Shandian asked worriedly.

"It's fine. From what I can see, they're good people," said the Shandian beauty Raki.

Evening

Above the ruins, people lay on the ground contentedly, gazing at the moon.

Only scraps of food remained scattered everywhere.

"It's already night…" Zoro murmured.

"Maybe we should head back to the ship," Nami suggested.

"Nami, what are you talking about?" Luffy protested.

"What do you an? If we go back to the ship, we'll have warm beds," Nami said, confused.

"Usopp, did you hear that?" Luffy glanced sideways.

"Yeah! That's outrageous! Saying sothing like that—she's not even fit to be called a pirate!" Usopp scoffed.

"What are you two talking about?" Nami shivered uneasily.

"A banquet! A bonfire party!" Luffy explained.

"Where… am I?"

Wyper slowly opened his eyes.

"You're inside the Shandora Ruins," said Gan Fall, crossing his arms.

"Rest peacefully," advised a Shandian elder gently.

"Wait… what's that?"

Wyper stared blankly at the firelight outside the tent.

"See it for yourself," Gan Fall said as he pulled the tent open.

"A bonfire. No one wants to fight anymore."

Wyper's eyes widened.

Everyone was gathered around the fire—singing, dancing, celebrating.

Skypieans, Shandians…

Snakes, wolves, birds…

It seed like every creature of this land had gathered together.

At the center, Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper were performing ridiculous tricks—testing their noses and teeth with chopsticks—sending everyone into fits of laughter.

Wyper stared in shock at the idiot-like Luffy.

It was hard to believe this was the sa man who had defeated God Enel.

"Hey idiot, can't you act a little more dignified?" Nami sighed, noticing Wyper staring at Luffy.

"Shishishi! It's a banquet! Just have fun!" Luffy laughed like a carefree clown.

And so the celebration continued.

Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper perford cody acts.

Nami watched helplessly.

Sanji danced with a Skypiean lady.

Zoro clinked cups with Braham, whom he had previously defeated in a single strike.

anwhile, Robin stayed in a quiet place, studying history.

"HAHAHAHA!"

Everyone laughed joyfully.

Wyper held his forehead in disbelief.

Smoke from the bonfire rose into the sky.

And the banquet continued for several days.

Dawn

A Shandian rushed into the elder's tent.

"Elder! The Golden Bell has been found!"

"Really?!"

"Yes! It's hanging from a giant vine! Everyone's pulling it up now. Anyone with strength should head to the west coast!"

"Good! Gather everyone!"

West Coast

People tied massive vines around the Golden Bell and pulled with all their might.

"Damn… we still don't have enough people!"

So people's palms bled from the effort, but the bell barely moved.

"This is the glory of our ancestors—Shandora's pride! We must bring it back!"

Braham was resolute.

At that mont, the people of Skypiea stepped forward.

Smiling, they joined the effort.

More and more people gathered—

And finally, with one powerful pull, the Golden Bell rose.

Everyone gazed at the massive bell with emotion.

Just then, Robin stepped forward and approached the Poneglyph beneath it.

"An Ancient Weapon bearing the na of God… Poseidon. Its location…"

Robin fell into deep thought.

Another weapon… different from the one in Alabasta—Pluton.

"Pluton… they say a single shot from it could erase an island."

— Crocodile

Sothing this dangerous… still sleeping sowhere in the world.

Robin felt slightly disappointed.

I don't want to learn about such things.

Then she noticed another inscription carved into the Golden Bell.

Ancient characters.

"I have co here and will guide this text to the final desHination."

— Gol D. Roger

Robin was shocked.

"How could this be…?"

"Roger was a Blue Sea pirate who ca here twenty years ago," Gan Fall said.

"Is his na carved there?"

Robin ford a hypothesis.

"Elder… this Poneglyph has already fulfilled its mission."

"Its mission…?"

The elder's eyes slowly filled with tears.

"Does that an our mission is finished too?

Does that an… we no longer have to fight?"

"Have our ancestors' wishes finally been fulfilled?"

"Yes."

Robin walked away, leaving only her silhouette behind.

Ancient Ruins

Usopp traded rubber bands with Skypieans and obtained nearly an entire basket of Dials.

"Why hasn't Robin co back yet? We're leaving soon," Luffy said.

He glanced at the gold he had gathered.

The legendary City of Gold might be worth hundreds of billions—even trillions—of Berries.

But there was no need to take it all.

Too much money would just beco a aningless number.

Luffy took gold worth roughly ten billion Berries—more than enough.

"Maybe I should just drag her back," he muttered.

The next mont, he rushed off, leaving only his back to the others.

In the forest, Robin was taking a slow walk.

Suddenly, a red blur shot out.

An elastic arm wrapped around her and began pulling her away without explanation.

"Luffy—what are you doing…?"

The usually composed Robin blushed slightly.

"You're too slow, Robin!"

Luffy flashed his trademark grin.

Robin had no way to deal with him.

Soon the crew gathered at the ship and t Conis and her father Pagaya.

"You're leaving so soon?" Conis said reluctantly, though she quickly forced a smile.

"I'll see you off."

"Thanks."

Deep in the Forest

Shandians and Skypieans gathered to discuss an important matter.

"I am the Sky Knight, a free rcenary," Gan Fall introduced himself.

"This country no longer needs such a role," the elder said.

"What it needs now… is soone to govern it."

Gan Fall imdiately shook his head.

"This land originally belonged to you."

"That's not a reason," the elder replied.

"Everyone has experienced this war. Vearth belongs to no one."

"The God of this land is the pillar of the nation."

"The only person who can take that role is the one who has long suffered for the sake of this war—you."

"Sky Knight Gan Fall, please return to the seat of God and support this wounded country once again."

"We entrust this to you, Lord Gan Fall!" — the people of Skypiea shouted.

"If it's you, we agree too!" — the Shandians said.

Gan Fall scratched his head helplessly.

"Honestly… I just wanted to peacefully grow my pumpkins."

"OOOH!"

anwhile — The Going rry

The Going rry had reached the edge of the clouds.

"When it's ti to say goodbye to this country… I feel a little sad," soone said.

"It's ti to say farewell to this white ocean."

"Skypiea was amazing… though a little scary too."

"Once we pass through that gate, we can ride the cloud path back to the Blue Sea."

The Going rry sailed straight through the edge of the clouds.

"Captain! The Log Pose is pointing clearly to the next island," Nami said.

"Our next adventure is about to begin!"

Suddenly—

The cloud road disappeared.

The Going rry began plumting from the sky.

"AAAAAHHH!"

Everyone grabbed the mast and scread.

"Here we go!" Luffy shouted excitedly from the bow.

Then Conis blew a whistle.

"Skypiea specialty—Octopus Balloon!"

The clouds churned.

A giant octopus flew toward the ship and wrapped its tentacles around it, turning the rry into a giant balloon.

"Interesting!"

"We're slowing down!"

"I thought we were going to the afterlife!"

Suddenly—

DONG! DONG! DONG!

The bright ringing of the Golden Bell echoed across the sky.

"Ring it! Use the bell to send off the heroes who saved this country!"

Was it a dream—or reality?

High above the clouds, ten thousand ters in the sky…

If you listened closely, you could hear the bell.

It rang today.

It would ring tomorrow.

The great bell echoing through the heavens was the song and glory of this wandering land.

Luffy listened quietly.

A faint smile appeared on his face.
