Front Gate of Enies Lobby

The main gate of Enies Lobby had already turned into ruins.

Three Marine warships were anchored on the sea.

"Report, Vice Admiral! Up to now, there hasn't been a single Marine or governnt official in sight!"

A Marine soldier reported to Vice Admiral Strawberry.

Strawberry stood tall.

His skull was unusually long and narrow, his expression cold. A gray beard and mustache frad his stern face. Draped over his shoulders was a Marine Justice coat, and two katana hung at his waist. His presence alone carried heavy pressure.

"Hm."

He closed his eyes briefly and swept the island with Observation Haki.

"It seems they're all unconscious."

"T-Then… Vice Admiral, should we go ashore and bring them back?" the Marine asked nervously.

"No."

"Once the Buster Call begins, it cannot stop."

"Allowing them ti to board the ships… is already the greatest concession."

Strawberry exhaled deeply.

His fists clenched tightly—then slowly loosened.

His gaze hardened.

"Open fire."

"Exterminate Enies Lobby."

"Yes, sir!"

The Marine saluted, though his trembling body betrayed his inner fear.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Black cannonballs rained across Enies Lobby.

The island that was already in ruins now faced its final annihilation.

Doberman's Warship

The deck was covered with battle scars.

As expected of an elite Vice Admiral—

With a casual swing, Doberman unleashed a flying slash.

Zoro blocked with his blade but was forced back five steps.

"Soru!"

Doberman vanished and reappeared instantly.

"Finger Pistol — Barrage!"

His fingers struck Zoro's chest repeatedly.

Each strike tore open a hole.

Blood sprayed wildly.

Zoro swung all three swords violently, forcing Doberman back.

"Three Sword Style — 108 Pound Phoenix!"

A massive slash infused with Armant Haki shot forward.

CLANG!

The attack struck Doberman—

but failed to break through his defense.

Only sparks burst from his body.

Damn it… Is advanced Armant Haki really this tough?

Zoro clutched his chest.

He was nearing his limit.

"Soru!"

Doberman dashed forward again.

His black blade slashed downward.

Zoro reacted instantly, crossing two swords to block.

Even so—

the pressure from the slash carved a thin wound across Zoro's forehead.

Just as Zoro prepared to knock Doberman back—

"Tempest Kick!"

A white blade of air shot forward.

"Gah!"

Zoro was blasted away.

A deep wound nearly tore across his waist.

He slowly stood again.

Drip… drip…

Blood poured from his body like water onto the deck.

Zoro sheathed all three swords.

Then—

he drew Wado Ichimonji, still inside its scabbard.

He closed his eyes.

The chaos of the world fell silent.

A terrifyingly sharp aura—one that seed capable of cutting heaven and earth—gathered around the blade.

If this move can't defeat him…

Then I'm finished.

All of his Armant Haki condensed into this single strike.

"You damned pirate!"

"Have you still not realized the difference between us?"

Doberman stepped forward with a fierce expression.

"One Sword Style — Iai: Lion's Song!"

The mont Zoro opened his eyes—

his gaze seed sharp enough to pierce the world itself.

"What—?!"

Doberman's eyes widened.

Instinctively he coated his upper body with advanced Armant Haki.

Zoro drew his sword—

and passed by him.

A thin line carved itself across the air.

It cut through Doberman's body.

THUD.

Zoro dropped to both knees.

He stabbed his sword into the deck to keep himself upright.

anwhile—

a massive wound split across Doberman's chest.

Hot blood sprayed through the air.

That single slash—

had broken through advanced Armant Haki.

"How is that possible?!"

"That's Vice Admiral Doberman!"

"A Marine Headquarters Vice Admiral who can fight pirates worth hundreds of millions!"

From rear admirals to ordinary soldiers—

every Marine stared in shock at the Pirate Hunter kneeling yet still standing tall.

"I can't believe your bounty is only 80 million."

Doberman ran a hand over the wound on his chest.

"What an extraordinary swordsman."

He did not hide his admiration.

But in the next mont—

his eyes turned murderous.

"What a sha."

"Why must you be a pirate?"

"If only… you had chosen justice."

Zoro forced his battered body to turn around.

"I don't have the habit of becoming soone else's dog."

He spread his arms.

SLASH!

Doberman's sword—coated in advanced Armant Haki—fell from above.

Damn…

I still haven't beco the world's greatest swordsman…

Zoro collapsed with regret.

Doberman slowly turned away.

His heart felt unexpectedly heavy.

Such a brilliant swordsman—

yet he was a pirate.

Momonga's Warship

Sanji slowly stood up despite the pain of fractured bones.

But what greeted him—

was a heavy punch from Vice Admiral Momonga.

The strike, coated with advanced Armant Haki, shattered who knew how many of Sanji's ribs.

Vice Admirals chosen for the Buster Call were the pride of Marine Headquarters.

They had fought countless powerful pirates.

For the first half of the Grand Line—

they were overwhelming forces.

Pain surged through Sanji's body.

He didn't understand why his body felt so fragile.

Yet sheer willpower forced him to stand.

"I've got no strength left… beard guy."

Momonga looked at him with surprise.

"The Grand Line has produced a terrifying pirate."

"You don't even have a bounty yet, do you?"

"How about joining the Marines?"

"I guarantee you could beco a Vice Admiral within three years."

The Marines on deck exploded with excitent.

A Vice Admiral!

Many of them would spend their entire lives just hoping to reach Captain rank.

The difference between people—

was greater than the difference between people and dogs.

"Vice Admiral, huh…"

Sanji leaned against the railing, covered in blood.

He placed a bloodstained cigarette in his mouth.

Click.

The fla lit.

"Sorry."

"I refuse."

Momonga frowned.

"Do you understand what happens if you refuse?"

Sanji tilted his head back, staring at the sky.

"Because I'm the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates."

"That's all."

Momonga froze.

He understood what that ant.

That was belief.

Sothing worth dedicating one's life to.

Monstrous talent—

combined with unwavering conviction.

A phrase appeared in his mind:

"The potential of an Admiral."

Momonga sighed.

His gaze sharpened.

His blade rang as he drew it.

He no longer tried to persuade him.

People like this could not be convinced.

Armant Haki coated the sword.

He swung it into the air.

Flas wrapped around the blade.

"I will grant you the highest respect."

"Blazing Mountain!"

Momonga gripped the sword with both hands and struck Sanji's chest.

CRACK!

The railing shattered.

The flaming blade blasted Sanji away.

SPLASH!

Sanji fell into the sea.

Is this… the end?

He slowly sank beneath the water.

His eyelids grew heavy.

In that mont—

mories surfaced.

A cruel father without humanity.

A mother who died protecting him.

Inhuman experints.

Brothers turned into machines.

That was his family.

A ho without warmth.

Maybe… dying like this… isn't so bad…

Enies Lobby

The Buster Call bombardnt swept across the island.

The people who had been knocked unconscious by Conqueror's Haki slowly woke up.

They looked around in confusion.

They only rembered a red flash before losing consciousness.

Now—

the world looked like the apocalypse.

"Am I… dreaming?"

A Marine stood up in disbelief.

The next second—

a cannon shell struck him.

He was blown to pieces instantly.

"Run!"

Soone shouted.

Panic erupted.

Cannon shells hanging in the sky felt like the Sword of Damocles above everyone's heads.

Stampedes broke out.

Wherever shells fell—

people died.

On the Sea

Aokiji sighed quietly.

"Your crew is reaching their limit."

"And yet… for so reason…"

"I can't feel happy about it."

Sweat poured from Luffy's forehead like strings of pearls.

He didn't even know how long he had been fighting.

Since the Buster Call began, Aokiji seed slightly distracted—his attacks lighter than before.

But he still kept Luffy firmly pinned down.

Right now—

Luffy only felt rage and frustration.

Watching his friends suffer.

Watching them die—

while he could do nothing.

The feeling was unbearable.

"AOKIJI!"

"GET OUT OF MY WAY!"

High in the sky—

Luffy placed his arm in his mouth and blew air into it.

His body expanded instantly.

He channeled all the air into his right arm.

The arm expanded into a giant's arm, large enough to sink a battleship instantly.

Luffy turned into black lightning and shot downward.

Black Armant Haki mixed with destructive lightning.

"Gear Third — Thunder God: Giant Spear!"

Like a black teor falling from the sky—

Aokiji's pupils shrank.

He crossed his arms.

Dozens of ice walls ford above him.

Top-tier Armant Haki covered his body.

The punch shattered the ice walls like dry leaves.

Then struck Aokiji directly.

A massive crater appeared in the sea—

large enough to bury one hundred thousand people.

The ocean boiled.

Lightning rained from the heavens.

The scene looked like the end of the world.
