Inside Thriller Bark,
thick fog shrouded the entire Florian Triangle.
Aboard the Thousand Sunny, the crew listened as Brook explained everything he knew.
"This place is Thriller Bark, and the one who rules here is one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea—Gecko Moria."
"He possesses the Shadow-Shadow Fruit, which allows him to steal other people's shadows."
"A shadow contains part of a person's soul. Because of that, Moria can implant shadows into corpses and turn them into zombies."
"My shadow was stolen by him… and placed into a powerful swordsman."
"I've… never been able to defeat him."
Brook stood by the railing, gazing toward the dark island.
"A powerful… swordsman?" Zoro opened his eyes, clearly intrigued.
"That's everything I know. I hope it helps you."
"I must fight with everything I have… for Laboon."
Brook leapt off the ship, landing lightly on the sea and racing across the water.
"Luffy, I'll go too," Zoro said, his eyes gleaming with interest and battle spirit.
"Sure—"
Before Luffy could finish speaking, Zoro had already disappeared.
A mont later—
He was standing on Thriller Bark.
"Hey, Luffy! How could you let Zoro go alone?!" Sanji complained.
The mont he said it—
Luffy suddenly realized sothing.
"Oh no… that idiot!"
Inside Thriller Bark Castle
Within a luxurious hall inside the ghostly fortress—
The little gothic princess Perona and the eccentric doctor Dr. Hogback stood obediently to one side.
At the far end of the room lood a massive figure.
A grotesque giant resembling a swollen bat.
"Hehehe…"
"So how dare they?" Gecko Moria sneered as he tossed the Straw Hat crew's bounty posters onto the floor.
His crimson eyes burned with killing intent.
"A rookie pirate dares to kill one of my generals?"
"Absalom… don't worry. I will avenge you!"
He raised his hand.
"Pass down my order."
"All zombies—attack the harbor!"
Deep within the dark fortress—
Across the vast graveyard—
Terrifying figures began to erge.
Without hesitation, they rushed toward the port.
Tens of thousands of zombies surged forward like a tidal wave of corpses.
Moria turned to the two behind him.
"Go back to your rooms. Don't co out tonight."
Perona and Hogback hurried away.
Standing by the window, Moria muttered:
"One billion berries…"
If Absalom hadn't been killed by the Straw Hats, Moria might have ignored them.
He might even have let them leave.
But now—
This had beco a fight to the death.
Harbor of Thriller Bark
Feeling the entire island tremble, the Straw Hats' expressions hardened.
Soon—
An endless wave of zombies surged toward the shore.
"Is this… a zombie siege?" Luffy blinked.
Then he smiled faintly.
His glowing blue eyes lifted toward the sky.
BOOOOOOM!
Ten blue lights appeared in the clouds.
Then they descended.
Ten gigantic pillars of lightning—each over 100 ters wide—crashed down from the heavens.
The earth shattered.
Trees exploded into splinters.
Hordes of zombies were instantly reduced to ash.
Everyone across Thriller Bark saw it—
A power like a natural disaster.
"Seriously… this never ends."
Lightning flashed again as another group of zombies exploded into dust.
Luffy sighed.
"The Sunny is yours to guard. No problem?"
"No problem! Leave it to SUPER !" Franky declared.
"Go take down that Warlord!" he added.
Luffy nodded.
Blue lightning crackled violently around him—
And he vanished.
"Franky, Nami-swan, and Robin-chwan stay with the ship."
"Usopp and Chopper—co with ."
Sanji lit a cigarette and jumped off the ship.
"WHAT?!" Usopp and Chopper scread.
Despite their fear of the eerie atmosphere, they followed Sanji anyway.
After all—
The crew's third fighter was leading them.
Soon they walked through a forest of charred trees.
From shadows…
From ruins…
From castle windows…
Countless figures erged.
Animals.
Armored warriors.
Grotesque stitched monsters.
Every single one had grotesque sutures across their bodies, hollow eyes, and the stench of death.
"Firebird Star!"
Usopp fired his slingshot.
A flaming projectile shaped like a bird slamd into the zombie horde.
Flas engulfed several zombies, releasing a foul odor—
But they felt nothing.
They kept charging.
Chopper bit down on a Rumble Ball.
"Arm Point!"
"Scope: Cross!"
His hoof struck a zombie.
The creature was blasted away, bones shattered—
Yet it slowly stood up again.
"They can't be killed?!" Usopp trembled.
"Are they really ghosts?!"
Sanji narrowed his eyes.
His left leg tensed like a spring.
Then—
He shot forward like an arrow.
His right leg smashed into the head of a stitched lion.
Black Armant Haki flowed over his leg.
BOOM!
The lion's skull exploded.
A black shadow burst from the corpse and fled into the darkness.
Sanji moved like the wind, casually destroying zombies.
This ti—
They stayed down.
It looked almost like he was throwing the fight on purpose, the way they dropped instantly.
"Sanji! How did you do that?!" Usopp and Chopper stared at him like a hero.
Sanji frowned at the growing horde.
"Haki."
"Armant Haki counters Devil Fruit abilities."
"In fact, there are four ways to deal with zombies."
Salt, which carries the power of the sea (like Seastone).Sunlight, which suppresses shadows.Overwhelming Haki.Or simply blow them to pieces.
"As for whether sticky rice works… who knows?"
Now that they understood the zombies' weakness, things beca easier.
"Armant — Firebird Star!"
"Armant — Scope: Cross!"
Zombies began collapsing one after another.
But—
For every zombie destroyed, hundreds more crawled out of the ground.
Soon the trio was surrounded.
"How many bodies are buried in this graveyard?!" Sanji complained.
Then he spun his leg through the air.
"Armant — Tempest Kick!"
A ten-ter air blade shot forward.
Like cutting grass—
A massive swath of zombies was sliced in half.
Then Sanji grabbed Usopp and Chopper under his arms.
Stepping on the air—
He escaped calmly using Sky Walk.
"Sanji… you know other Six Powers techniques too?!" Usopp asked.
"Yeah. I know all of them except Iron Body," Sanji replied casually.
"But you two should start learning them too."
"They're simple."
"At least learn Sky Walk."
"You two are the only ones on the crew who can't use it."
"…Well, Brook too."
Usopp & Chopper: "…"
Was it because they couldn't learn it?
…Actually, they'd just been too lazy.
Elsewhere on Thriller Bark
In a ruined courtyard—
Zoro stared at dozens of stitched beasts.
He scratched his head.
"Have you seen a skeleton with a huge afro running around?"
The beasts didn't answer.
They simply stared at him like hungry predators.
Led by a stitched lion, the monsters charged.
"Looking for death."
Zoro calmly drew Sandai Kitetsu.
Sword aura flowed.
Armant Haki coated the blade.
"36 Pound Phoenix!"
The mont he finished speaking—
Zoro was already behind them.
He sheathed his sword.
"Damn skeleton… running off like that."
"Probably got lost."
He looked around and randomly chose a direction.
Behind him—
Every beast split cleanly in two along a perfectly smooth cut.
