"Hey! What the hell are you trying to do?!" Jewelry Bonney shouted angrily at Zoro.
"Are you trying to lure an Admiral to this island?! Even pirates have rules they follow among themselves! Stop causing trouble for the rest of us!"
Gulp.
"Gang" Capone Bege held his cigar, his hand trembling slightly.
"I'd heard the Straw Hat Pirates were reckless… but I never imagined they'd go this far… even daring to cut down a Celestial Dragon. That guy's insane!"
Nearby, "Magician" Basil Hawkins stared at the tarot cards in his hand. His fingers trembled.
"The survival probability of the Straw Hat Pirates is…"
100%.
"What kind of joke is this…?"
Kill a Celestial Dragon and still survive?
That would make them the heavens' favorite child.
Zoro frowned at the surrounding Supernovas whispering about him, especially Bonney who was pointing at him and yelling.
"I don't know what you an by 'Admiral'…"
"But since when do pirates follow rules?!"
A formless pressure suddenly burst from his body.
It swept across the entire area indiscriminately.
For a mont, Zoro seed completely detached from the world.
Everyone felt the world shift.
Dozens of underlings collapsed instantly, losing consciousness.
Only a few people managed to remain standing—
But even they felt crushing pressure drilling through their nerves.
Cold sweat stread down their foreheads.
"…Huh?"
Zoro looked confused.
"This feels… kind of familiar."
Still, seeing everyone frozen in place, he nodded in satisfaction.
Then he walked toward what he believed was Grove 1.
Only after Zoro disappeared from sight did the Supernovas finally breathe again.
"Conqueror's Haki…? That's impossible…"
"Isn't that sothing you only see in the New World?"
For pirates preparing to enter the New World, Haki wasn't a secret.
But it was still sothing legendary.
Urouge, the Sky Island monk, spoke in disbelief.
"A man like that… isn't even the captain?"
"Then what kind of monster must their captain be…?"
"…The man with the 1-billion-Beli bounty — Straw Hat Luffy."
Bonney shook her head in disbelief.
"That's impossible! People who awaken Conqueror's Haki are all arrogant and ambitious!"
"How could soone like that submit to another person?!"
No matter how proud these pirates were…
The Straw Hat crew had just given them a harsh lesson.
Inside the Auction House
At the sa ti, Luffy was facing trouble of his own.
"Father… a billion-Beli captain as a slave? I've never owned one before."
The female Celestial Dragon Saint Shalria approached Luffy with a chilling smile.
Hatchan hurriedly grabbed Luffy's arm.
"Let's go! Don't get involved with Celestial Dragons! If you do, the Admirals will co!"
The Straw Hat crew looked grim.
They knew exactly what offending a Celestial Dragon ant.
So unless Luffy gave the word—
They would not act.
Just as Shalria was about to approach Luffy—
"Wait."
The older Celestial Dragon, Saint Rosward, walked forward with a laugh.
"Shalria, don't forget. I've always had a hobby of collecting captains."
"But Father! I saw him first!"
Shalria stared dreamily at Luffy's handso face.
As soone obsessed with looks, she suddenly felt sothing like love.
Of course, as a "god," she couldn't marry a filthy human.
…but keeping him as a slave toy would be fine.
Right there, in front of the terrified crowd—
The two Celestial Dragons began arguing over ownership of Luffy.
In the audience:
Kid smirked.
"So, Straw Hat… what are you going to do?"
Law watched nervously.
He understood sothing clearly—
No matter what happened now…
Chaos was inevitable.
But Luffy remained calm.
Their words didn't stir even the slightest emotion in him.
They simply weren't on the sa level.
If these two weren't protected by the Celestial Dragons' status…
They probably wouldn't survive past the age of eight.
After all—
Luffy had already co here intending to beat them up.
So he simply watched them argue.
Then suddenly—
Ding.
A Celestial Dragon has already died. Maximum reward reduced to five stars.
Luffy blinked.
"…Huh?"
Who the hell just killed a Celestial Dragon?
Luffy imdiately activated Observation Haki, his perception spreading across the entire Sabaody Archipelago like radar.
After a mont—
He fell silent.
Then raised a thumbs-up.
"Zoro… you're seriously amazing."
Originally, Luffy had only planned to beat up those "three Celestial pig idiots" and collect a small reward.
But his "wingman" had just escalated things massively.
Luffy sighed.
"Well… no point worrying now."
Killing intent flashed in his eyes.
"Hey. Stop arguing."
The two Celestial Dragons looked at him as if he were an idiot.
They were just about to speak—
Crackle!
Blue lightning arcs began dancing around Luffy's arm.
In the next instant—
A dragon of lightning burst forth.
It swallowed both Celestial Dragons whole.
The lightning continued forward—
Blasting the entire auction house apart.
"Why waste words?"
"I'll send you to join that idiot!"
For a mont—
Pirates.
Nobles.
Commoners.
Everyone stood frozen.
"…The Celestial Dragons… they're dead!!"
Soone scread.
Chaos exploded throughout the auction house.
People shoved and trampled one another, desperate to escape the island.
But the Straw Hat Pirates and the Kid Pirates blocked the entrance.
"What are you screaming about?"
Luffy picked his ear lazily.
Then—
Black lightning erupted from his body.
Conqueror's Haki swept across the entire hall.
Ti seed to freeze.
Except for the three pirate crews—
Everyone else collapsed unconscious.
"C-Conqueror's Haki…!"
Kid and Law stared in shock.
Then Kid burst out laughing.
"HAHAHAHA! Straw Hat! I've always wanted to et you!"
He spread his arms wide.
Magnetic force gathered every piece of tal in the auction house onto his arms.
Kid charged forward.
"Why?!"
"Why is your bounty so much higher than mine?!"
Luffy's face remained expressionless.
He casually slapped him.
BOOM!!
The shockwave blasted the doors apart.
Kid flew out of the building, rolling across the grass before coughing up blood.
Luffy glanced at Killer and the others.
"You guys should leave too."
Another slap.
The Kid Pirates were swatted out of the building like flies.
Inside the hall, the Heart Pirates watched cautiously.
Law's expression was grave.
Luffy's speed.
His strength.
They were on completely different levels.
The only thing Law could surpass him in…
Was age.
If soone like that becos your enemy…
You probably wouldn't even know how you died.
But if he beca your ally…
Law's thoughts began racing.
But Luffy wasn't looking at him.
His gaze was fixed on a figure erging from the smoke.
A man stepped out slowly.
Silver hair and beard.
Long wavy hair.
Round glasses.
A scar over his right eye.
It was the forr first mate of the Roger Pirates—
"Dark King" Silvers Rayleigh.
Rayleigh looked at Luffy.
"That straw hat suits a sharp young man like you, Monkey D. Luffy."
"I've wanted to et you for quite so ti."
Law frowned.
"Why…? Why is a legendary man like Silvers Rayleigh here?"
Luffy grinned.
"Old man! I've been looking for you!"
Rayleigh chuckled.
"First we should break out of here."
He glanced outside.
The battered Kid was now rampaging.
The Sabaody security forces were being driven back by the Kid Pirates.
A Marine officer shouted desperately:
"Hold them off! The Admiral will arrive soon!"
But it didn't matter.
Luffy looked at his crew.
"Let's et at the bar later."
"I'll go pick up Zoro."
Through Observation Haki, he could already sense Zoro walking further and further away—
Completely off course.
"That damn moss-headed idiot…" Sanji scoffed.
Nami grabbed Luffy's arm.
"I'm coming with you."
Luffy nodded.
Blue lightning flashed—
And the two vanished instantly.
Rayleigh watched them disappear.
"What incredible youngsters…"
Marine Headquarters — Marineford
Fleet Admiral Sengoku slamd his desk.
"Is it that brat again?! What the hell is wrong with that family?!"
Pururururu…
A Den Den Mushi rang.
"Hello. Sengoku speaking."
"Sengoku… you're aware of what happened at Sabaody, aren't you?"
"A re brat from the D. Clan dared commit deicide."
"I don't care how you do it."
"Capture the Straw Hat Pirates."
"And execute them publicly… together with 'Fire Fist' Portgas D. Ace."
"The world must know the consequences of challenging the authority of the gods."
The call ended.
Sengoku rubbed his temples wearily.
The death of a Celestial Dragon alone wasn't the real issue.
There were countless Celestial Dragons in Mary Geoise.
If one were secretly killed by a Yonko, the World Governnt might ignore it.
But this—
This happened in public.
In front of the entire world.
When the so-called "gods" lost their untouchable image—
They would no longer be gods.
And the false peace upheld by the World Governnt would collapse.
That was sothing the Five Elders would never allow.
Because once people realized the "gods" could bleed—
Ambitious figures everywhere would begin to move.
After all—
Who could resist the temptation of slaying a god?
Nearby stood a tall, slender man.
Curly black hair.
Sunglasses.
A thin beard.
A yellow-striped suit and purple tie.
He clipped his fingernails calmly.
"If soone attacks the nobles of the World Governnt…"
"I suppose we have no choice but to act, do we, Sengoku?"
Sengoku sighed.
"Borsalino… go to Sabaody."
"And rember—capture them if possible."
Admiral Kizaru straightened up and walked toward the door.
Sengoku remained leaning over his desk.
After a long silence—
He picked up another Den Den Mushi.
"Sorry, Garp… this situation has gotten too big."
The snail rang.
"Sakazuki… are you there?"
