"Buzz—!"
Golden light flared violently. The dagger-like ends of the chain pointed straight at Crocodile…
A suffocating aura of death—capable of slaying even gods—descended upon him…
This ti—
Crocodile had no doubt whatsoever that those razor-sharp chain tips could kill him!
Driven by the instinct to survive—
Crocodile completely cast aside his pride and spoke with trembling urgency:
"Re… respected… respected King of Heroes… Lord Gilgash…"
"I had absolutely no intention of offending you…"
"I am willing to beco your subordinate—at your command—to atone for my previous transgressions…"
The man before him—
Was a being who might have lived for four thousand years—the King of Heroes…
Crocodile had witnessed his terrifying strength firsthand!
Combined with the fact that he could harm a Logia user without Haki—
Crocodile was fully convinced…
That even after four thousand years, this man could still stir the seas into chaos!
To submit to such a being—
Especially in a life-or-death situation—
Was not sothing he found unacceptable…
After all, he himself was one of the Seven Warlords—a pirate recognized by the World Governnt, with undeniable strength.
And this man, having not appeared on the seas for four thousand years, would surely be in need of subordinates.
Faced with a Warlord willingly offering his allegiance—
Why would he refuse?
However—
Everything turned out completely different from what Crocodile had imagined…
"Slash—!"
Two streaks of golden light flashed—blinding and instantaneous—crossing hundreds of ters in the blink of an eye.
The shrill sound of chains tearing through the air echoed violently.
The atmosphere itself seed to shatter into fragnts.
"Pfft—!"
Without hesitation—
The dagger-like ends of Enkidu pierced straight through Crocodile's chest!
Impaling his heart—filled with boundless ambition—without rcy.
Blood burst forth, crimson droplets scattering into the air like a brief rain…
Even as his own blood splashed across his face—
Crocodile had yet to react.
Warm, scarlet blood stread down his cheeks.
The familiar scent of blood…
Only this ti—
It was his own.
"You… you… you…"
His strength dissipating, his life force rapidly fading, Crocodile struggled to raise a trembling hand, pointing at Kazama Haruto—his eyes filled with disbelief.
Within those fading pupils lingered endless confusion…
He could never have imagined—
That his offer of submission as one of the Seven Warlords would be rejected so decisively.
Nor had he imagined—
That his end would co in such a manner…
So sudden…
So instantaneous…
With boundless unwillingness and unfulfilled ambition, the light in Crocodile's eyes faded completely—his life extinguished.
One of the Seven Warlords of the Sea—
The Desert King, Crocodile—
Had fallen!
"Rattle—!"
The golden glow across the thousand-ter ground receded. The countless chains withdrew, leaving only a single chain coiled around Kazama Haruto.
"Thud—!"
With nothing left to support it, Crocodile's body collapsed heavily onto the shattered ground, kicking up grains of sand.
Dust settled over him, mingling with darkened bloodstains.
From Kazama Haruto's descent, to the summoning of Enkidu, to Crocodile's execution—
The entire process had taken less than a minute!
A re minute—
And before the eyes of Cobra and the Alabasta Royal Guard—
The once-dominant Warlord Crocodile had been utterly destroyed!
Every one of them was left in profound shock…
They had not forgotten—
How Crocodile had just monts ago crushed the entire Alabasta Kingdom with overwhelming dominance.
How he had effortlessly slain their captain…
And yet—
Such a terrifying man had been killed so easily, in such a short span of ti…
This man…
Was truly monstrous!
Fortunately—
Their king seed to know him.
Ignoring the guards who were still shaken beyond words, Kazama Haruto cast a glance at Cobra. Floating in the air, he slowly stepped into the ruined palace.
His cold voice echoed faintly behind him—
"Cobra, was it… follow ."
Though his voice was not loud, it struck like a deep-sea explosion within Cobra's mind.
Snapping out of his daze, Cobra shuddered, quickly rising to his feet. His stiff legs carried him forward as he hurried to follow Kazama Haruto.
Before leaving, he ordered all the royal guards to remain outside the palace hall and stand watch.
