York shifted his gaze from the severed Imu to the Monstrous Bird, Saint Marcus Mars.
Mars was heavily injured by Rocks earlier, making him the weakest of the remaining three active Elders.
'Where did Garling go?'
York scanned the battlefield. Saint Figarland Garling had vanished after delivering Alice's corpse. Was he lurking? Deserting?
York pushed the thought aside. He had a plan.
He charged toward Kaido, who was locked in a breath-battle with Mars.
"KAIDO!!" York roared. "Let's team up!!"
Kaido glanced down, seeing the corpse of the Sandworm (Ju Peter) twitching on the ground. He grinned.
"WORORORO! CO ON THEN!"
York leaped. He landed on Kaido's long, serpentine tail.
The dragon flinched at the extra weight, but held steady.
York sprinted along the dragon's spine. To his transmigrator mind, it felt like Goku running along Snake Way in the afterlife.
A grin tugged at his lips. He reached the dragon's head.
Under Kaido's annoyed side-eye and Mars' vigilant stare, York stomped down on Kaido's horns and launched himself into the sky.
He cocked his right fist, mimicking Garp's Galaxy Impact stance.
"BRAT! DON'T YOU DARE!!"
Mars shrieked. He couldn't fight well in lee due to his injuries, so he opened his beak and unleashed a torrent of hellfire.
York's eyes lit up. He didn't look back.
"KAIDO! BREATHE FIRE AT !!"
Kaido blinked. "Huh?!"
"JUST DO IT!!"
"I don't know why you want to die, but FINE!!"
Kaido opened his maw.
"BLAST BREATH!"
Two streams of apocalypse—Mars' hellfire from the front, Kaido's dragon fire from behind—converged on a single point: York.
York grinned.
Just as the flas were about to incinerate him, he fired an Air Cannon from his left hand against his right arm.
BOOM!
The recoil shot him upward like a bullet.
Below him, the two fire breath attacks collided, exploding into a massive thermal barrier that obscured vision.
Kaido stopped, confused. "Did I kill him?"
Mars panicked. "OH NO! IMU-SAMA!!"
Using the chaotic updraft, York pierced through the smoke, flying straight toward the Possessed Woman hovering in the stratosphere.
Imu looked down. Her eyes showed no surprise. Only boredom.
"Boring little tricks."
She raised her right hand. The Magic Book materialized. The pages flipped rapidly.
POOF.
Smoke swirled, and a sleek, ornate Double-Barreled Shotgun materialized in her hand.
She aid at the charging York.
BANG!
A Haki-infused slug tore through the air.
York couldn't dodge in mid-air.
SPLAT.
A hole the size of a dinner plate was blown through York's abdon.
"Gah!"
York spat a mouthful of blood.
'As expected of Imu! I coated myself in Haki and she still punched right through!'
He was a Glass Cannon. High attack, high regeneration, zero defense.
But the montum carried him. Despite the hole in his gut, York reached out and grabbed Imu's ankle.
Imu looked down at the insect clinging to her leg. She didn't shake him off.
York looked up, his teeth stained red with blood.
"You're quite arrogant, aren't you!"
Imu's voice was flat.
"Mu could have aid for your head. But you are unique. Mu will take you back to Mary Geoise. You will be part of the collection."
"Haha!"
York laughed.
"Holy Light: Mass Drain."
A blinding white light erupted from York, cascading down from the sky to cover the entire battlefield of God Valley.
Down below, thousands of Marines and Pirates froze.
Their bodies stiffened. Then, their faces lted into expressions of pure euphoria.
"Hehehe~~ So good~~"
Glowing tentacles shot out from York's aura, latching onto thousands of people.
SUCK.
Tiny amounts of life force were drained from each person. Not enough to kill them, but cumulatively... it was a river of vitality.
The energy flowed into York.
The hole in his stomach knit together. Bone, muscle, organ, skin—regenerated in seconds.
Imu watched with genuine appreciation.
"An excellent ability. Truly worth collecting."
"Hehe!"
York's grip on her ankle tightened.
CRACK.
He crushed her leg bone.
Using the leverage, he pulled himself up, climbing her body until he was face-to-face with the floating torso.
He reached out with both hands.
His left hand grabbed the neck of her right half.
His right hand grabbed the neck of her left half.
"HNNG!"
He squeezed, forcibly pressing the two severed halves of the Avatar together.
"It is useless," Imu said calmly.
Rocks' Haki was still repelling the fusion. The wound wouldn't close.
"You cannot heal Mu. And if you are trying to pledge allegiance, this is unnecessary."
York grinned. His eyes were wild.
"It's not aningless at all!"
"This is... Application #4!"
In Imu's stunned gaze, York pulled her face close.
And kissed her.
