We sailed toward Cocoyasi Village as fast as the ship could manage. The atmosphere on board was tense, and everyone was quietly preparing for the coming battle.
Kuina sat near the deck. She was carefully cleaning and inspecting her sword, while Lily was practicing by throwing punches into the air.
I had already given them the potions I had purchased from the system. Although Lily and Kuina didn't feel the drastic changes that Nami and Kaya had experienced, they were still much stronger than before.
Compared to the manga tiline, their growth was obvious. In fact, either of them could now defeat the Arlong Pirates without much trouble.
As we drew closer to the village, I suddenly sensed a disturbance in the sea. Sothing felt off. Activating my observation Haki, I quickly searched for the source—and found it almost imdiately.
"We've got company," I said calmly.
The ocean suddenly split apart, and a massive Sea King erged from the depths.
It was nearly thirty-six ters tall, resembling a gigantic sea cow. It had a seal-like body, a large round nose fitted with a golden nose ring, a cow-like face with horns, and green spots scattered across its body.
Its fins hid retractable bones sharp enough to function like claws, while its thick, hardened skin acted as natural armor, protecting its vital organs.
"Bloody cow," I muttered. "I don't have ti for you. I'll deal with you properly so other day."
I coated my arm with Armant Haki, leaped off the ship, and drove my fist straight into its face. The impact was devastating. The massive creature let out a pained cry and was gravely injured, nearly dying from the single blow.
'It seems using Haki was unnecessary.'
I had planned to hit it two or three more tis, but it turned out to be far weaker than expected. My punch hadn't even been serious, yet it was already on the brink of death.
"Wow, Alex is so strong," Kaya said excitedly. "He defeated that monster with just one punch."
"Hmph! I could've beaten it with a single slash too," Kuina said, clearly annoyed that she hadn't gotten a chance to fight. "What's the big deal?"
The Sea King's fate remained unknown, whether it survived or died there in the sea. We didn't bother to check. Leaving it behind, we continued sailing toward Cocoyasi Village.
A few minutes later, the shoreline ca into view, and I knew we had finally arrived.
"Alright, girls, gather up," I called out.
"We're going to free Nami's village from Arlong's rule. The villagers have suffered for over ten years. Their lives have been destroyed. Parents and loved ones were killed for sothing as trivial as looking at the Fishn the wrong way. The Marines turned a blind eye because they were in Arlong's pocket."
Kuina gritted her teeth. "Typical scum."
"I'm going to kill those Fishn and save Nami's village," Lily said firmly.
I ignored Kunai and Lily and continued speaking.
"Our real fight is with the Arlong Pirates," I said. "We will defeat them. They are Fishn, and their physical strength is about ten tis greater than that of an average human. However, you've already taken the potions, so there's no need to be nervous. Even if Fishn are stronger than normal humans, you're strong too. You can think of this as a training lesson."
Then I added, "Before launching a direct assault, we'll first et Nami's sister. That way, we can avoid any misunderstandings during the fight."
"Another girl?" Kuina ground her teeth and stared at as if I were the worst kind of human. "You perverted captain."
"Hehe… the captain really is a bit perverted," Kaya muttered under her breath. Then, as if she suddenly rembered sothing, her face turned red.
"We'll dock the ship at a remote location so the Fishn won't notice us," I continued. "After that, we'll visit Nami's sister and explain our situation. Once we arrange things so the villagers are safe, we'll attack Arlong Park together."
"Why don't we just go and beat up the Arlong Pirates right now?" Lily asked impatiently.
"So that no slippery Fishman can sneak away and harm the villagers," I replied.
Honestly, I was making most of this up. I could defeat the Fishn without even using my hands.
With Conqueror's Haki alone, I could knock them unconscious and then finish them off. As for the villagers, I could easily use Observation Haki to locate any Fishman who slipped through and deal with them instantly.
But my real goal was to train my crew. Even though they were already strong, they still needed experience and refinent in real combat.
More importantly, Nami needed this fight. She had to face the Fishn herself to break free from her trauma. Only by defeating them with her own hands could she truly escape her nightmares and put the past behind her.
Because of that, I wasn't planning to interfere unless it beca absolutely necessary. At most, I would defeat Arlong in front of Nami and Nojiko, just enough to play the hero. After all, heroes usually get the princess.
Nami seed to sense what I was thinking. She looked at with utter disdain. "So you're using the damsel-in-distress act to win over Nojiko?"
I didn't feel ashad at all. I t her gaze and replied calmly, "Sothing like that. Don't tell you weren't expecting it."
"You're the worst!" Nami snapped.
Even so, there was a faint hint of excitent visible on her face.
If I had used my Observation Haki on her body at that mont, I would have noticed that her legs were slightly wet with her pussy juices. It was as if she was expecting sothing.
The girls nodded in agreent. We docked the ship so distance away from the main town, choosing a secluded spot. After hopping off the ship, we made our way toward Nami's ho.
As we walked along the dusty road, tall palm trees provided shade, and a cool breeze flowed gently through the air.
On either side of the path, lush green rice fields stretched out as far as the eye could see. They seed to be irrigated by a network of small canals that carried water from a nearby river.
There weren't many people on this part of the island, which worked in our favor. Fewer villagers ant fewer chances of anyone getting caught in the crossfire once the fighting began.
Soon, we spotted a house on the outskirts of the village. It was a small, two-story wooden building with a thatched roof. The walls were painted a pale yellow, and the windows were lined with blue shutters, giving it a warm and peaceful appearance.
As we approached, we noticed that the front door was slightly closed.
Nami stepped forward and knocked. A mont later, a young woman ca to the door. She had light blue hair and tanned skin, with tattoos covering her right arm and extending across her chest. She was wearing a beige sleeveless shirt, blue trousers, and purple sandals.
It was Nojiko, Nami's sister.
"Nami! You're back!" Nojiko exclaid.
She pulled Nami into a tight embrace, holding her as if she would never let go.
Nojiko was the only family Nami had left. She was the sister who had supported her and taken care of her throughout her childhood.
Even in the original story, when Nami was trapped under Arlong's control, Nojiko had gathered the courage to stand by her side and support her no matter the danger.
While hugging her sister, Nojiko finally noticed the group standing behind her. She looked at Nami with curiosity and asked, "Who are they?"
"Nojiko," Nami said, taking a breath, "I've beco a pirate now, and they're my crew. And he is the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates."
"And I'm a captain too," Lily suddenly added proudly. "I'm going to beat those Fishn and beco the Pirate Queen."
Since Nami had only introduced as the captain, I stepped forward and clarified, "Yes, she's a captain as well. Actually, we're both captains of the ship. This is Kuina, the swordswoman of our crew, and this is Kaya, our doctor. And your sister, Nami, is our exclusive navigator."
I then looked Nojiko straight in the eyes. "We're here to defeat the Arlong Pirates and free your village from their tyranny."
