Sonic's greatest pride had always been his speed. It was the very reason he bore the na [Speed-o'-Sound Sonic].
But today, he discovered sothing he could not accept, and that was Shinji's speed actually surpassed his own.
Unable to accept this, anger began to stir within him. At the very least, when it ca to speed, Sonic would never admit defeat.
At that mont, his body blurred and grew hazy. Several afterimages of him appeared around Shinji.

"What intimidation?" Shinji looked puzzled.
The fight hadn't even truly begun.

Sonic didn't bother to explain. While continuing to move at high speed, he sneered, "Well? With this special footwork and extre speed, I can create afterimages. You can't possibly tell which one is the real , can you?"
Out of the four afterimages, only one was Sonic's true body.
"This is my secret technique! Four-Shadow Burial!"
"Oh."
Shinji watched calmly. His Rinnegan followed Sonic's true body without the slightest pause, rotating in perfect sync with his movents.
In front of the Rinnegan, this kind of technique was aningless.
"Didn't you say you wanted to experience true ninjutsu? I can grant your wish." Shinji spoke lightly.
As his words fell, his Rinnegan shifted into the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.
Phantom Body Flicker!
Shinji's figure vanished into motion so fast it could not be tracked with the naked eye. Wherever he passed, afterimages remained behind.
By the ti Sonic realized what had happened, Shinji had already circled him, leaving more than a dozen identical illusions that completely surrounded him.

Sonic's eyes widened in shock as nurous Shinji illusions appeared all around him, confusing him. But he quickly forced himself to stay calm, planning to rely on instinct to find Shinji's real body.
As Shinji and his countless illusions steadily closed in, Sonic drew his ninja blade and launched his counterattack.
"Scatter Flash Slash!"
His figure moved like a ghost, the blade swinging toward Shinji. But in the end, only the real body's strike counted. The rest of the afterimages faded away as soon as they made contact.
Unlike Sonic's afterimages, each of Shinji's illusions truly existed.
"I hit him!"
Feeling his blade connect with sothing solid, Sonic's face lit up with joy. He believed he had finally struck Shinji's real body.
But he didn't realize that what he had cut was rely one of Shinji's illusions, not an afterimage.
Afterimages were false, disappearing the mont they were struck. Illusions, on the other hand, not only remained but also possessed the sa offensive power as the original body.

Before Sonic's excitent could last even half a second, a punch landed squarely on his face.
Then ca a barrage of attacks, raining down on him like a violent storm.
Shinji's countless illusions tore through Sonic's nine remaining afterimages, leaving his true body surrounded and under relentless assault.
Within monts, Sonic collapsed to the ground, unable to rise.
"You just ntioned your ultimate secret technique, didn't you? Let show you what a true ultimate secret technique really is."
Hearing Shinji's calm voice, Sonic struggled to lift his head.
What he saw next would be forever etched into his mory. Shinji's appearance changed dramatically. His hair turned completely white, and his clothes transford into a flowing white cloak.
As Sonic wondered what Shinji was about to do, the next instant revealed a scene he would never forget.
High above, Shinji manifested the Ten-Tails, which began to condense an ever-expanding Truth-Seeking Orb.
The orb swelled as if it had no limit. From Sonic's perspective, it had already grown into a massive black sphere large enough to blot out the sky, and it was still expanding at a terrifying pace.
Sonic was stunned speechless, fear flooding through him. He didn't know what that mysterious black sphere was, but his instincts scread that it could destroy heaven and earth.
He instinctively wanted to flee, yet his battered body refused to move. Even if he could run, he knew he would never be faster than the orb's rapid growth.
Flat on the ground, Sonic sank into despair, convinced that death was the only path left for him. But just as the "End Truth-Seeking Orb" reached its peak size, Shinji abruptly pulled back, forcefully retracting it.
In an instant, both the Ten-Tails and the End Truth-Seeking Orb vanished without a trace. The world returned to calm serenity, as though nothing had ever happened.
"...Huh?"
Sonic was dumbfounded, completely unable to comprehend what had just occurred.
That little display from Shinji had scared him half to death. He had almost wet himself in sheer terror.
Suddenly, Shinji flickered and appeared right before him.
"I just wanted to show you. I never intended to kill you." Shinji spoke with a faint smile. "I could deal with you without these flashy techniques."
To him, the End Truth-Seeking Orb was the true ultimate secret technique, and he had rely wanted to demonstrate it to Sonic. Shinji could very easily deal with the punk in a body-tight suit, but he wouldn't do that.
"You...!" Coming back to his senses, Sonic was instantly furious.
"You're the one who asked to see it. Why bla for frightening you?" Shinji spread his hands with a helpless expression.
"No..."
Sonic had cald down. "I want you to be my master. I want to learn your ultimate secret technique. And with it... I'll defeat that bald guy nad Saitama."
"...?"
A question mark practically appeared above Shinji's head.
Wasn't this guy supposed to be obsessed with chasing after Saitama? How had things turned into him seeking Shinji as a master?
And to top it off, he wanted to beco his disciple just to defeat Saitama. For a mont, Shinji had no idea where to even begin comnting on this ss.
