Now reading: Chapter 164: The real way to get the food treasure 【PAIR】 from One Punch Man: "The hell!! Did I transmigrate as King?", a Action novel by Rene11.

Rin's eyes went wide as saucers. "Toriko... he actually did it? He actually got the [PAIR]?"

Komatsu nodded vigorously, tears of joy streaming down his face. "He did it! They all did it! The Four Heavenly Kings actually danced with an Eight King and won!"

On the beach, the entire reinforcent party erupted into cheers and disbelief. Master Yoda's ancient eyes glistened with unshed tears. Livebearer pumped a fist in the air. Even Tyran, the stoic Gourt Corpse representative, allowed himself a rare smile.

But Rin was already moving.

"TORIKO!" she scread, sprinting toward the mountain with speed that shocked everyone. "TORIKO, I'M COMING!"

King watched her go with an amused expression. "Well. Soone's motivated."

Saitama, who had been about to sprint off himself, paused. "Should we... let her go first?"

Garou snorted. "Let the girlfriend have her mont. We'll get the fruit after she's done crying all over him."

Komatsu laughed through his tears. "That's... that's actually very considerate of you, Mr. Garou."

"Don't get used to it."

High above, on the mountain peak, Toriko held the glowing [PAIR] in his hands. The fruit was warm, pulsing with life, and so beautiful it hurt to look at directly. Beside him, Coco, Sunny, and Zebra gathered close, their battered bodies slowly healing in the fruit's radiance.

"We did it," Sunny whispered, his voice hoarse. "We actually did it."

Zebra, for once, had no sarcastic remark. He simply nodded, a rare mont of genuine emotion crossing his scarred face.

Coco's future sight, chaotic monts before, had settled into sothing peaceful. "The path forward... it's clear now. This fruit changes everything."

Ape King Bambina, now returned to his scarred form (though noticeably smaller and calr), sat on a bone pillar watching them with ancient, satisfied eyes.

"Roa." (Good dance.)

Toriko looked up at the king who had nearly killed them a dozen tis, who had played with them, tested them, and ultimately blessed them. "Thank you. For everything."

"Roa roar." (Co back. In a thousand years. We'll dance again.)

Toriko grinned. "It's a date."

The Monkey King's laughter bood across the mountain one last ti before he leaped into the sky, disappearing into the exosphere to nap among the stars.

And then, from below, a familiar voice shattered the mont.

"TORIKOOOOO!"

Toriko's eyes went wide. "Rin?!"

The four Heavenly Kings turned just in ti to see Rin crest the peak, her face a ss of tears and joy and righteous fury.

"You IDIOT!" she scread, launching herself at Toriko. "You scared ! You lost an arm! You fought a MONKEY GOD! What is WRONG with you?!"

Toriko, caught completely off guard, could only manage a strangled "Urk—" as Rin tackled him to the bone arena floor.

Sunny, Zebra, and Coco wisely took several steps back.

"We should... give them a mont," Coco suggested.

"Several monts," Zebra agreed.

Sunny's hair was already weaving a small privacy screen. "How stylish. How romantic. How absolutely not our business."

Far below, on the beach, King watched the scene through his perception and chuckled.

"Well. Looks like the reunion's going well."

Saitama tugged at his sleeve. "Can we go get the fruit now? I'm hungry."

King laughed. "Patience, Saitama. The fruit's not going anywhere. Let the lovers have their mont."

Saitama's stomach growled loudly enough to startle nearby seagulls.

"...Fine. But if they take too long, I'm going up there."

Komatsu, ever the peacemaker, quickly produced another platter of rainbow fruit. "Here, Mr. Saitama! Have so more of this while we wait!"

Saitama's eyes lit up. "Oh! Okay!"

And so, on the beach of the Seventh Continent, under the gaze of a tad Horse King and the distant light of a fruit that could raise the dead, the strangest victory celebration in gourt history began.

The [PAIR] was obtained.

The dance was complete.

And sowhere, far away, the Gourt Eclipse waited.

The realization hit them like a thunderbolt.

"These gas... they're not just play," Coco continued, his voice urgent as more images flowed through their cellular link. "They're a ritual. A sacred dance passed down through generations of Ape Kings. The murals show it clearly—the king and his chosen partner play until dawn, and with each ga, the [PAIR] ripens further."

Toriko's eyes widened. "So when we first arrived and he played with us—"

"He was testing us," Zebra finished, understanding dawning. "Seeing if we were worthy dance partners."

Sunny's hair rippled with excitent. "And when we survived his true form's rage—"

"We passed the final test." Coco's lips curved into a rare smile. "Now cos the celebration."

As if confirming their words, the Monkey King dropped into a playful crouch, his crimson eyes sparkling with anticipation. His massive hand ford "rock" and he shook it energetically.

"Roar roar!" (Again! Again!)

Toriko laughed—a genuine, joyful laugh that echoed across the mountain peak. "He wants to play! All night! Until dawn!"

Zebra cracked his knuckles, a savage grin spreading across his face. "Then let's play. Let's show this monkey what real gas look like."

Sunny's hair flared dramatically. "Darling, I was born to play."

Coco simply nodded, his poison mbrane shimring with readiness.

The four launched themselves forward, eting the Monkey King in the center of the bone arena. Rock-paper-scissors. Knee-knocking. Arm-wrestling. Each ga flowed into the next with a rhythm that felt ancient and sacred and utterly joyful.

And with every ga, the [PAIR] pulsed brighter.

Far below, on the beach, King watched through his perception and smiled.

"They figured it out," he murmured. "Good. The fruit's almost ready."

Beside him, Kaka tilted her head. "My lord?"

"The gas aren't the challenge—they're the celebration. The Monkey King wasn't testing them to see if they were worthy of the fruit. He was testing them to see if they were worthy of playing with." King chuckled. "And now that they've proven themselves, the real dance begins."

Saitama, still munching on rainbow fruit, looked up. "So they're just playing now?"

"Exactly. Playing. All night long. And when dawn breaks..." King's eyes glead. "The [PAIR] will fall. Perfectly ripe. Ready to resurrect the dead."

Komatsu's eyes went wide. "Then... then we can save everyone who died in the famine? All the people who—"

"One step at a ti, Komatsu." King raised a hand. "First, let Toriko and his friends finish their dance. Then we'll worry about saving the world."

On the mountain peak, under the starry sky, four humans and one god played through the night.

Rock beat scissors. Knees dodged knees. Arms strained against impossible strength.

And the [PAIR] glowed brighter with each passing mont, waiting for dawn.

The dance continued.
