After a night's sleep, Loya's injuries were mostly healed. He hopped out of bed, pushed open the window, and stretched toward the glowing red sun.

"Ah... another beautiful day."

"Hey! Up there! Do you have any idea people live downstairs? Water has been leaking all night!"

Loya looked down to see a recruit in a T-shirt, toothbrush in mouth, glaring up at him. Loya looked back into his room. The ice coffin he'd made last night had mostly lted, leaving the entire room damp.

"Guess my 'lethal' skill isn't quite perfected yet if it lts overnight."

"Sorry, sorry! I'll clean it up!" Loya apologized. He turned to the remaining chunk of ice, judged the distance to the window, and grinned. "Alright, let's see... GOAL!"

THUMP!

The cubic-ter block of ice shot out the window in a beautiful arc and plunged into the artificial lake below, sending a three-ter-high geyser into the air. A group of recruits walking by with breakfast got soaked, their food instantly ruined by the lake water.

"DAMN IT!"

"Who did that?!"

"Show yourself, I promise I won't kill you!"

Uh-oh, trouble.

Loya ducked his head, quietly closed the window, and pulled the curtains shut.

He arrived at the training grounds, greeting his buddies along the way. When he fell into formation, the Major General instructor appeared with a face like thunder.

"Last night, a localized hailstorm hit the Recruit Camp area! Several buildings were damaged, over a dozen patroln were injured, and Fleet Admiral Sengoku's goat was knocked unconscious! Tell , who did it?!"

The Seventh Squad recruits didn't hesitate. They pointed at Loya in unison. "Report, Instructor! Loya did it!"

"Very well. Loya!"

"Yes!"

"Step out!"

Standing in front of the formation, Loya was genuinely confused. Okay, hitting the patrols I get, but why on earth did I hit Sengoku's goat? He'd forgotten that his second Ice Dragon's Roar had been fired at an angle toward the main fortress.

The instructor walked up to him, his face black. "Was it you?"

"Uh... Instructor, would you believe if I said it was a misunderstanding?" Loya scratched his cheek, smiling awkwardly.

The punishnt ca down quickly. After consulting with Zephyr, they decided to be lenient since Loya was a newcor and Sengoku wasn't pressing charges.

Sentence: One month of cleaning the latrines, and 1,000 copies of the safety regulations submitted by the end of the day.

Since standard training was useless for Loya, they decided to keep him busy with manual labor to prevent him from causing more chaos. The instructor kicked him toward the bathrooms.

Wearing an apron and holding a mop, Loya leaned against the wall outside the toilets, sighing. "I told them it was a misunderstanding..."

The Major General instructor walked by, saw him slacking, and roared, "No slacking! Get to cleaning!"

Nearby recruits whispered and giggled. They deliberately stepped in mud before entering the latrines, making exaggerated comnts. "Oh, sorry Loya! Forgot you just cleaned this." "Oops, my bad, I'll be done in a sec!"

Loya didn't say a word. He just tapped his toe on the floor, releasing a subtle chill that froze the floor into a thin, slick sheet of ice.

The next second:

"WHOA!"

"Hey, watch where you're peeing!"

"Sorry, Instructor! It wasn't on purpose!"

Hearing the chaos inside, Loya smirked and moved to the next floor. I should develop a technique for this. Gray had sothing like this... "Ice Carpet," was it?

As for the 1,000 copies of the safety regulations, that was child's play. Loya lined up dozens of notebooks and pens, using his ice molding magic to create a chanical rig that moved all the pens at once. He only had to move his hand once to write fifty copies simultaneously. Two hours later, he was done.

He brought the stack to the instructor, who stared, incredulous. "What?! You finished already?!"

I had to pull an all-nighter when I was a recruit... are you here to mock ?!

"Heh, of course. I'm a genius!" Loya bragged. The instructor couldn't find any evidence of cheating, so he had to let it slide. "Fine. Per our deal, clean the bathrooms and you're free to go."

After Loya left, the instructor took the notebooks to Zephyr.

Zephyr was shocked. "He finished this fast? How long did he take?"

"1 hour and 47 minutes," the instructor replied. "He definitely cheated, but I have no proof."

Zephyr flipped through the books. Suddenly, he picked up two notebooks, compared them, and slamd his fist onto the table. "Loya! That lazy, cheating brat!"

"Admiral Zephyr? What happened?"

Zephyr pointed at the pages. "Look! Here and here—the sa typo in both, and even the curvature of the pen strokes is identical!"

The instructor's jaw dropped. "That little...! I'm going to go find him!"

"No need," Zephyr stopped him, stacking the notebooks. "If you didn't catch it imdiately, he's already destroyed the evidence. You have no proof to punish him." Zephyr's lips curled into a smirk. "This brat... he really is interesting."

Loya, oblivious to his narrow escape, was happily gnawing on a stead bun when he saw Admiral Kuzan. He tossed the bone in the trash and jogged over.

"Kuzan-sensei! I'm here."

Kuzan was leaning against a wall, sleeping with an eye mask on. He pushed the mask up and squinted at Loya. "Oh, you're here. Let's go."

"Yes, Kuzan-sensei! Where are we going?"

"Don't call sensei! Ice Ti!"
