Now reading: Chapter 109: The Special Boss of the Level 50 Zone, The Unde from Online Game: I Have A 100% Drop Rate, a Fantasy novel by ChampionDreamer.

Now that both Leon and Emilia had crossed the threshold of 100,000 Combat Power, it genuinely felt like nothing in the [Lower Domain] could stand in their way anymore. At least, nothing ordinary.

Among players, matching their pace would already be close to impossible unless soone possessed an absurdly broken talent, hailed from a high-level world, or ca from an eternal-level world with advantages far beyond what normal players had access to.

And monsters? Most of them barely even registered as threats anymore.

Still, Leon didn’t let that power get to his head.

He and Emilia continued forward at a steady pace, passing by the [Elven Stronghold] without stopping this ti and heading deeper into unexplored territory.

As expected, monsters still appeared along the road.

Beasts crawled out of the shadows, aberrations lunged from the trees, and creatures infused with corrupted mana attempted to ambush them.

But Leon only dealt with those that ca too close.

If sothing stayed at a distance, he ignored it entirely. He didn’t want to waste ti.

The [Star Magic Cave] was his priority.

Surprisingly though, almost no monster seed to want to approach them, so he didn’t mind.

"[Secret Realms] are completely different from anything we’ve faced so far," Leon explained casually as he cut down a monster that had rushed too close. "We can’t predict what’s inside."

Even as he spoke calmly, the words carried weight.

In his past life, rumors about [Secret Realms] had always been grim.

People entered, and then they disappeared.

Even powerful figures, ones Leon knew by na, had vanished after stepping into one.

That alone ant whatever waited inside wasn’t sothing consistent growth alone could solve.

And yet, Leon still intended to go in. He had no intention of backing down.

After all...

’The [Farlands] will probably be far worse,’ Leon thought.

The fact that he had never even heard of the [Farlands] in his past life said everything.

If no one he knew had reached that point before, then it was safe to say that almost no player had either.

Ninety-nine point nine percent of players likely didn’t even know the na.

That was exactly why Leon wanted to get there this ti.

The two of them continued forward for nearly an hour.

The deeper they went, the fewer players they encountered. At first, groups of adventurers still road the paths, but one by one they vanished, either turning back or simply avoiding the deeper routes.

Eventually, there was almost no one left.

And then—

Ding!

[You have entered the "Level 50 Zone"]

[Be careful, this is the deepest part a normal player can go to in your "Lower Domain".]

Leon glanced at the panel, then dismissed it without any visible reaction.

He already knew that. The environnt changed almost imdiately.

The grass beneath their feet darkened, taking on a dull, almost lifeless shade. The air felt heavier, thicker, as if sothing unseen was pressing down on everything within the zone.

There was a faint chill as well. But before they could even take a few steps—

Ding!

[Be careful, a special boss has spawned in the "Level 50 Zone"]

"...What?" Emilia blinked.

Leon, on the other hand, froze for half a second, then broke into a wide grin.

’No way,’ he thought. ’Didn’t expect that at all.’

Special bosses were exactly what their na suggested.

They were far stronger than regular bosses, appearing only under specific conditions.

Many players went months, sotis years, without ever encountering one.

And when they did appear? They could slaughter hundreds or thousands of players on their own.

Entire groups would be wiped out before anyone could even understand what was happening.

So special bosses stayed alive for hours, even days, before a large enough force finally managed to take them down.

So never died at all and were instead left to roam. The rewards, of course, were equally absurd.

That was the only reason people dared to fight them in the first place.

Leon had seen many special bosses in the [Higher Domain] during his past life.

So of them were so dangerous that their appearance triggered announcents across entire domains.

But the [Lower Domain]? He had never seen one here.

Which ant this was likely a rare opportunity. Possibly the only one for a long ti.

Leon turned toward Emilia, grinning.

"Well," he said, "looks like we’re taking a small detour before the [Star Magic Cave]."

Emilia laughed softly, her eyes gleaming, "I knew you’d say that."

They rushed forward without hesitation.

Strangely enough, there were no monsters roaming the level 50 zone at all.

Either they had been killed... Or they had fled.

That alone spoke volus about how dangerous the special boss was.

As they moved deeper, Leon spotted a group of players ahead.

"Run!" one of them shouted, a woman with octopus-like legs who slid across the ground in panic. "That thing’s been here for hours! It’s bad, really bad!"

Leon slowed only slightly.

’So it wasn’t triggered by us,’ he thought. ’It’s been here for hours... and nobody managed to kill it.’

That ant its strength was supposedly overwhelming.

Still, Leon kept walking forward, completely unfazed.

After a few more minutes, they finally saw sothing: a skeleton stood ahead of them.

It was around 1.7 ters tall, its bones cracked with glowing purple fissures. One of its eye sockets burned with eerie light as it turned toward them.

Appraisal!

---

[Undead Scourge Skeleton]

[Level: 50]

[Exclusive Talent: Undead (C-Level)]

[Combat Power: 60,000]

[Details: An undead skeleton summoned by the "Undead Scourge"]

---

Leon didn’t need more information. The details alone told him everything.

Before he could even act—

Bam! Bam! Bam!

The ground around them exploded.

Dozens upon dozens of skeletons burst forth from the earth, each identical to the first.

They surrounded Leon and Emilia in an instant.

"H-Holy hell," Emilia muttered. "There are so many!"

"No wonder everyone ran," Leon replied calmly. "Each one has sixty thousand Combat Power."

That alone would be terrifying to most players.

But what mattered more—

BOOM!

A massive pulse of purple energy erupted ahead.

From it erged a towering undead figure, standing over two and a half ters tall. It wore a dark robe and held a scepter radiating necrotic mana.

---

[Undead Scourge (Special Boss)]

[Level: 50]

[Talent: Interdiate Necromancy (C-Level)]

[Combat Power: 140,000]

[Details: A special boss that can control a massive amount of undead by itself.]

---

Leon’s eyes lit up.

"...Damn," he said, smiling widely. "That talent’s better than mine."

That alone made this fight worth it.

If he could kill this thing, upgrading his [Basic Necromancy (E-Level)] sub-talent would be guaranteed.

Finding an undead boss with that specific talent was incredibly rare.

Its Combat Power was very high but... that hardly mattered.

Storm of Lightning!

Leon raised his staff. In an instant, thunder roared across the battlefield.

Lightning crashed down from above, striking every undead skeleton simultaneously.

Their bodies convulsed under the electrical assault.

And imdiately after—

DIVINE BEAM!

A brilliant pillar of holy light erupted from Emilia’s scepter.

Undead were naturally weak to holy power. And so the result was absolute: every skeleton disintegrated instantly.

Even the [Undead Scourge] itself didn’t stand a chance. Its body shattered into dust under the combined assault.

Since Leon’s [Storm of Lightning] had struck everything first, the system recognized both of them as contributors.

The special boss that had terrorized the level 50 zone for hours... Died in seconds.

Ding!

[You have killed "Undead Scourge (Special Boss)" and gained 165,000 experience points.]

[You have killed x53 "Undead Scourge Skeleton" and gained 132,500 experience points.]

[100% Drop Rate has triggered...]

Leon let out a low laugh. But before he could react... an announcent rang.

Ding!

[Players "Celestial" and "Saintess" are the first to defeat the "Undead Scourge" special boss and have been rewarded with 10 Reputation Points.]

"I guess even special bosses aren’t much to us anymore," he shrugged. "Didn’t even need [Celestial’s Might]."

Ding!

[Congratulations, you have leveled up to Level 31 Level 32 Level 33 Level 34.]

[Due to "Heaven’s Blessing", you have gained 600 points in all attributes and 600 free points to distribute.]

"...Damn."

Leon exhaled slowly. Their strength had grown yet again.
