As ntioned before, the [Slaughter ter] was a hidden system that recorded how many players soone had personally killed.
It only counted player kills, and every increase pushed the individual further along a very specific path.
The more players you killed, the higher your rank on the ter climbed.
And with each tier, you gained certain benefits. There were ten known tiers.
Tier 10, which gave the [Slayer X] title, was achieved at 10,000 player kills.
And reaching that point granted imnse power.
Though in exchange, it summoned sothing: the [Judgnt Knight].
Leon’s expression turned slightly serious as he rembered that na.
The [Judgnt Knight] was not a normal entity.
It was a punishnt chanism embedded into the system itself.
Once summoned, it would hunt down the individual who reached [Slayer X] and execute them without rcy.
And even beings who had stepped into the [Eternal Domain] had failed to defeat it.
If sothing could kill existences in the [Eternal Domain], then his current self stood absolutely no chance.
Thankfully, reaching 10,000 kills was no easy task.
Most players never even reached a thousand in their entire lives.
So for now, Leon did not worry too much about accidentally triggering that catastrophe.
Still...
"I killed 364 players," Leon muttered quietly, glancing at the notification panel, "That ans..."
Ding!
[Congratulations, Celestial, you have received the "Slayer I" title by achieving 100 kills.]
Before he could even finish processing that—
Ding!
[Your "Slayer I" title has been upgraded to "Slayer II" as you have reached 250 kills.]
Leon exhaled softly.
The [Slaughter ter] remained hidden from most players until they reached 100 kills.
Until that point, no one even knew it existed.
Leon only knew about it because of his past life.
Most players in any [Lower Domain] didn’t know about it.
In fact, many players would live a long ti in [Eternal Ascension] without ever reaching 100 player kills.
They would never see the title, never learn about the tiers, never understand what they had unknowingly avoided.
Leon respected those types of players. The ones who chose not to kill.
The ones who focused purely on growth or cooperation.
But he also knew that path was not his.
He would not kill without reason, but he would eliminate enemies and obstacles without hesitation.
rcy toward future threats was simply stupidity.
At the sa ti, the higher the [Slayer] title climbed, the greater the benefits beca.
Those benefits could drastically help soone.
However, every increase also brought one closer to the inevitable encounter with the [Judgnt Knight].
Power and danger walked hand in hand.
Leon raised his hand slightly, opening the description of his new title.
Fwoosh!
---
[Slayer II: You have beco adept at killing other players, allowing you to gain more advantages from doing so.]
[Though be aware, that if you go too far... you might regret it.]
[Passive #1: You will now be able to take two of the items from a player’s storage space.]
[Passive #2: You will take 5% of the player’s Eternal Coins.]
[Keep killing, and your advantages shall beco far better, to the point where they might rival talents.]
---
Leon read the description carefully and nodded once. It was straightforward.
Previously, at lower tiers, you could only extract one item from a defeated player’s storage.
Now he could take two, along with five percent of their Eternal Coins automatically.
It was useful, but not extraordinary.
The current benefits were not strong enough to be considered ga-changing, especially compared to his own talents.
However, depending on who he killed and what they possessed, the rewards could certainly accumulate into sothing significant.
"If I rember correctly," Leon murmured thoughtfully, "the truly insane bonuses start around [Slayer V]."
That ant two thousands of kills. He was nowhere near that.
And he did not intend to actively hunt random players just to raise the ter.
He would only kill those who stood in his way or posed a threat to his future.
With that decision clear in his mind, Leon turned away from the smoking ruins of the [Shadow Assassin Guild] stronghold.
The [Oblivion teor] still rested at the center of the destruction, embedded into the ground like a monunt marking what had occurred.
The surrounding area remained scorched, the stone lted and reshaped by the impact.
Leon preferred it this way. Let it stand as a reminder.
Fwoosh!
He dashed away from the scene, heading back toward [Myriad Race City].
After several minutes of swift movent, the city gates ca into view.
The structure looked nearly identical to the one in his original domain.
As he approached the entrance, two large orc guards stepped forward.
"Pay the fee," one of them said bluntly.
Leon paused for half a second.
Since these orc guards were not the sa individuals from his original domain, his previous reputation ant nothing here.
His accomplishnts did not transfer across domains.
Interestingly, these guards seed far less hostile than the ones he had encountered before.
They did not glare at him with open contempt or mock his race.
Whether that was due to his [Reputable] title or simply because they sensed his overwhelming strength, he could not tell.
Ding!
[You have sent 1,000 Eternal Coins to Myriad Orc Guard.]
"You may enter, human," the guard nodded before shifting his attention to another player attempting to pass.
Leon walked through the gates without another word.
Inside, [Myriad Race City] looked almost identical to its counterpart in [Lower Domain #1].
The layout, the architecture, the mixture of races walking the streets, it all felt eerily familiar.
’Makes wonder,’ Leon thought as he walked calmly through the bustling city, ’does this domain also have a [Secret Realm]? Or the sa hidden locations as mine?’
The [Farlands] likely existed in every [Lower Domain], but certain secret areas might be unique.
The possibility intrigued him, but exhaustion dulled his curiosity.
Casting [Oblivion teor] had drained him more than he initially realized. He needed rest.
Leon quickly located an inn, paid for a private room, and entered.
The room was simple but clean, containing a bed, a small table, and a single window.
He sat down on the edge of the bed and opened his [Friends List].
Emilia’s location still displayed: [Advanced Divine Temple].
He nodded faintly.
’That’s going to take ti.’
The deeper one progressed into the assessnt inside the [Advanced Divine Temple], the more difficult it beca.
Based on her Combat Power, Emilia likely qualified for A-Rank, perhaps even S-Rank.
If Leon rembered correctly, the S-Rank assessnt required roughly 300,000 Combat Power just to enter.
That was precisely why almost no one had ever accessed it in the [Lower Domain].
Still, he had faith in her. Just as he had faith in himself.
Leon leaned back slowly and closed his eyes.
As said many tis before, sleep was almost not required in [Eternal Ascension].
Players could function indefinitely without it, though they would get tired.
However, sleep still refreshed the mind and stabilized the body, especially after extre exertion.
And after casting a [Forbidden Spell], rest felt necessary.
As his breathing gradually slowed, his thoughts drifted.
In less than two days since returning to this tiline, he had leveled up multiple tis, cleared threats that would have caused future disasters, traveled between domains, sothing unheard of in his past life, and eliminated the [Shadow Assassin Guild] before they could ascend.
It was almost surreal. But he knew the true dangers awaited in the [Higher Domain].
That would be his final preparation ground before ascending to the [Eternal Domain].
It had taken him nearly fifteen years in his previous life to leave the [Higher Domain].
And the mont he stepped into the [Eternal Domain], he was ambushed shortly afterward by the [God of Eternity].
Which ant one thing: the gods were already there. Even now.
Their grand plans had not fully unfolded yet, but the seeds were planted.
Leon’s goal was simple: grow stronger and ascend.
Then kill them before they could execute whatever catastrophe they had once unleashed.
With that final resolve firm in his heart, exhaustion finally overca him.
Leon fell asleep.
...
Ti passed.
And when Leon opened his eyes again, sothing felt wrong.
"Huh?"
He was not in his bed, nor in the inn at all. He was not anywhere recognizable.
Instead, he stood within an endless black void.
There was no ground, no sky, no sense of direction, only darkness stretching infinitely in every direction.
His eyes sharpened instantly.
"This is..."
[Hello, Celestial.]
A voice echoed through the void.
It was both familiar and unfamiliar at the sa ti. Gentle yet overwhelming.
Leon’s heart tightened slightly.
There was only one existence that fit that sensation.
"Heavenly One...?"
