Leon decided to stay out of the [Divine Academy]’s way for now.
Even though they were connected to the gods, their levels and combat power were simply too high for him to deal with directly.
There was no reason to rush into danger when he could gain more information first.
Instead, Leon wanted to explore the place a little before the event started.
The city surrounding the academy was enormous, and he had just arrived.
It would be a waste not to look around and understand the environnt he could be fighting in.
So Leon spent the next hour simply walking through [Divine Academy City].
The place was massive. It wasn’t on the sa level as [Myriad Race City], which had been built to host countless races from across the [Lower Domains].
But it was still large enough to hold tens of thousands of players comfortably.
Buildings stretched far in every direction. Large stone roads connected the various districts, and players from different worlds walked around everywhere.
’It really feels strange to see that.’
In Leon’s past life, things had been very different.
By the ti he reached his own domain, he would have already entered the [Warrior Tower], fighting through the early floors and struggling to survive like everyone else.
He would never have imagined himself walking through a city in a different [Higher Domain].
But now everything had changed. His path was completely different from before.
And the more Leon thought about it, the more interesting it beca.
Sowhere else in the vast world of [Eternal Ascension], other players were probably going through their own challenges.
After all, [Higher Domain #1] was the only domain that had this academy system.
All the other [Higher Domains] had completely different structures.
Each domain functioned differently, offering unique paths for the players inside them.
The scale of [Eternal Ascension] was simply too large to fully comprehend.
Still, after exploring the city for a while, Leon eventually felt satisfied.
He had already seen most of the important areas near the academy district, and nothing particularly unusual had happened during his walk.
So he found a quiet place nearby and sat down on a stone bench.
Once seated, he closed his eyes and began focusing.
’Right now, my main priority is to get stronger, finding the servants of the gods and...’
Leon slowly turned his gaze toward another floating panel in front of him.
’Hatch that thing.’

Leon stared at the panel silently.
The number had gone down. But only by one day.
That ant the tir was functioning normally, decreasing with ti.
However, the problem was obvious. Four thousand years.
That amount of ti would never pass if he did it the "normal" way.
Which ant one thing: the egg was never ant to hatch naturally.
There had to be another thod. Sothing that could drastically reduce the hatching ti.
Unfortunately, Leon still had no clear idea what that thod could be.
His best option right now was a skill he possessed: [Divine Answer].
That skill allowed him to receive a perfect answer to any question.
If he used it and asked how to hatch the [Primordial Dragon of Chaos], the [Heavenly One] would almost certainly provide the correct thod.
It would guarantee success. But Leon hesitated. He only had three uses.
Three chances to receive answers that could completely change his future.
Using one of those precious opportunities on the dragon egg felt... wasteful. At least for now.
Not until he was absolutely certain there was no other way to figure it out.
’I’ll leave it for later.’
Leon closed the panel.
Once he finished reviewing everything, he stood up from the bench and stretched slightly.
Then he took a deep breath. It was ti to move again.
Instead of staying inside the city, Leon decided to head outside of [Divine Academy City].
There were still two hours before the event began, and wasting that ti sitting around would accomplish nothing.
He could at least scout the surrounding areas.
But just as Leon began walking toward the exit of the city...
Ding!
[There are only 2 hours left before the next "event".]
Leon rolled his eyes slightly.
’Yeah, yeah, I know.’
He continued walking. Soon, he reached the main square near the city’s exit.
The square was large and open, filled with players passing through as they entered or left the city.
But just as Leon stepped into the area...
BOOM!
A sudden explosion erupted in the middle of the square.
The loud noise imdiately caught everyone’s attention.
Leon’s eyes narrowed as he instinctively prepared himself.
There were no guards inside this city. That ant players were free to fight each other.
And whenever a fight broke out in a place like this, things could escalate quickly.
Leon calmly moved closer to the source of the commotion. Voices soon reached his ears.
"Are you people stupid? It’s a goddamn phoenix, just kill her!"
"She’s strong though..."
The crowd ahead of him shifted as several players backed away from the center of the square.
Leon pushed forward slightly until he finally gained a clear view of the situation.
The mont he saw what was happening, his eyes widened slightly.
’Oh shit.’
Standing in the center of the square was a semi-familiar figure: Celeste Flamoir.
The phoenix-race girl he had previously seen inside the [Interdiate Divine Temple].
She was currently facing around a dozen opponents. All of them surrounded her from every direction.
It was surprising to see her here.
The fact that she had also reached [Higher Domain #1] ant she had progressed through the earlier domain extrely quickly.
But right now, she was clearly in trouble.
"The [Imperial Guild] simply wants to recruit you," a tall man said with a grin.
Leon focused on the speaker. The man had long hair and a noticeable scar across his face.
His presence alone made it clear he was the leader of the group.
"You could beco a very important... asset to us."
Leon imdiately understood the situation.
Like many powerful organizations, the [Imperial Guild] had likely learned about the phoenix race.
And the phoenix race possessed one of the most terrifying abilities in [Eternal Ascension]: rebirth.
As long as a phoenix died, they would eventually revive again.
That ability alone made them extrely valuable allies. Or extrely dangerous enemies.1
Celeste glared at the group surrounding her, her eyes filled with anger.
"I would rather die than join you all."
Power began gathering around her body. Flas slowly ignited along her spear.
But the mont she said those words... The leader’s smile disappeared.
"So be it," he said coldly. Then he raised his hand, "Capture her."
His voice beca sharper.
"And alive. If she dies she’ll just revive."
Imdiately, the mbers of the group began drawing their weapons as they moved closer to Celeste.
The circle tightened. Their intentions were obvious.
On the other hand...
Fwoosh!
Celeste took her stance.
Her spear ignited with blazing fire, the aura around her growing stronger.
She was ready to fight. But Leon could already guess her real plan.
If the situation beca hopeless, she would simply kill herself.
As a phoenix, death was not the end. It was escape.
As long as she revived sowhere else, she could permanently evade them.
But that only worked if she died before being captured.
If they restrained her first... Then it would truly be over.
Leon silently activated [Appraisal].1

Leon recognized the na imdiately.
In his past life, the [Imperial Guild] had eventually beco one of the most powerful organizations across the entire [Higher Domains].
Their mbers were everywhere. Tens of thousands of them.
They had branches in nearly every higher domain.
And their leader... Alexander Imperos.
He was known as a ruthless individual who cared about nothing except power and expansion.
Interestingly enough, he was also human.
Earth was not the only world that produced humans.
Several other worlds also had human populations, so of them far stronger than Earth’s.
Leon couldn’t see the exact [Combat Power] values of either side, but one thing was clear.
The level difference between them was massive.
Celeste was Level 52. Alexander was Level 64.
That gap alone made things extrely dangerous.
Their actual combat strength might not be that far apart due to racial advantages and talents... But Alexander still held the advantage.
"Deal with her," Alexander ordered calmly, "I’ll assist if she tries anything."
Celeste’s expression tightened. She clearly understood the situation.
And instead of attacking...
Fwoosh!
She suddenly turned her spear toward her own neck.
She intended to kill herself imdiately.
"DON’T LET HER!" Alexander shouted.
At that exact mont—
Fwoosh!
A powerful arrow shot through the air.
CLANG!
The arrow struck Celeste’s spear and knocked it out of her hands, sending it flying across the square.
Her weapon slid across the stone floor and stopped several ters away.
Celeste was now unard.
