As Godrick spoke, the others also rembered what Leon had said before.
"Maybe I’ll just drop a teor on him or sothing."
At the ti, none of them had actually believed him.
They thought it was simply Leon talking nonsense again in his usual calm way, saying sothing absurd to imply that he would sohow find a thod to defeat the [Forsaken King].
But now, as they stared at the gigantic teor descending from the sky toward the center of the [Forsaken City], they finally understood that Leon had not been exaggerating at all.
He literally ant he would summon a teor. And not just any teor either.
The thing falling from the sky looked like the destruction of an entire world.
The massive purple vortex above the castle twisted endlessly, dark clouds spiraling around it as the teor descended slowly from within, covered in blazing purple flas and destructive aura powerful enough to make the four players tremble despite being several kiloters away.
Even Godrick, who usually laughed in the face of danger, had gone completely silent.
"...This human is completely insane," he muttered.
Violet, however, was thinking about sothing else entirely.
At that mont, she suddenly rembered the question Leon had asked her before leaving.
"Do you have a way to revive yourself upon death?"
Back then, she had not understood why he asked sothing like that.
But now she finally did. Leon already knew from the very beginning.
He knew that once the teor crashed into the castle, nobody inside would survive.
Not the [Forsaken King]. And certainly not Leon himself.
No one could possibly survive such a thing. Not even a monster with three million combat power.
"...So that’s why," Violet whispered softly as her eyes shook slightly.
Leon had never intended to survive the attack in the first place.
The others seed to understand this as well, because all of them fell silent afterward. None of them spoke anymore.
They simply stood there on the rooftop and watched everything unfold before their eyes.
They watched as gigantic dark tendrils erupted around the [Forsaken Castle], each one massive enough to tower over entire buildings while darkness surged endlessly from them.
The tendrils wrapped around the teor in an attempt to stop it, their dark aura colliding against the purple flas surrounding the forbidden spell.
The sky itself seed to scream from the pressure.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Massive explosions erupted constantly as the teor continued descending little by little despite the tendrils trying to hold it back.
"It’s still moving..." Oasis whispered in disbelief.
And then suddenly—
BOOOOOOOOM!
The tendrils exploded apart.
The teor surged downward once more with even greater force than before, tearing through the darkness restraining it.
The players could actually feel the overwhelming pressure spreading through the entire city now.
The rooftops beneath their feet cracked. Windows shattered everywhere.
Even the dark fog surrounding the city trembled violently.
And then finally... The teor reached the castle.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
The explosion that followed was so catastrophic that for a split second, the entire world turned purple.
A terrifying shockwave erupted outward from the center of the city, destroying everything in its path while purple flas swallowed the castle entirely.
The four players instinctively backed away several rooftops as the pressure slamd into them.
The air itself felt heavy. Their ears rang violently.
And all around the city, buildings began collapsing one after another beneath the force of the impact.
Every structure within several kiloters of the castle was instantly erased.
The rest of the city shook so violently that enormous cracks spread across countless walls and streets.
As for the [Forsaken Castle] itself... Nothing remained.
The massive structure that had towered above the city for years was completely gone, replaced by an enormous crater overflowing with purple flas and destruction.
The middle of the [Forsaken City] had simply ceased to exist.
"...Holy hell," Godrick muttered blankly.
"This can’t be real..." Alicar whispered while staring at the crater.
"I-Is this even sothing a player can do...?" Oasis asked shakily.
Even Violet looked stunned. She had always known Leon was abnormal.
Ever since he arrived, he kept doing impossible things over and over again without hesitation.
Defeating the [Forsaken General]. Killing the [Spider Mother]. Destroying the [Forsaken Minotaur] in seconds.
And now... He had literally annihilated the center of the city with a teor.
Then suddenly—
Ding!
A notification appeared before all four of them.
[The "Forsaken King" has died.]
[All players still alive have completed the "God-Rank Assessnt". You will receive your rewards shortly.]
For a mont, nobody reacted. The four simply stared blankly at the notification floating before them.
And then slowly... Violet took a step backward as tears began filling her eyes.
"...I-It’s over," she whispered while placing a hand over her mouth.
Her voice trembled heavily. For years, she had been trapped inside this nightmare.
For years, she had watched players die over and over again while desperately trying to survive.
And now... It was finally over.
Oasis suddenly burst into tears as well while Alicar lowered his head, laughing weakly in disbelief, wiping his eyes.
Godrick, anwhile, threw his head backward and roared loudly while laughing.
"WE ACTUALLY CLEARED IT!"
The massive demon began stomping around the rooftop while laughing repeatedly like a madman.
"Hahaha! We’re finally getting out of this damned place!"
But Violet slowly shook her head.
"No," she muttered softly while looking toward the crater in the distance, "This wasn’t us."
The others turned toward her.
"If Leon never arrived..." Violet continued quietly, "We would have never escaped this city."
The rooftop fell silent again. Because deep down, all of them knew she was right.
Leon had arrived yesterday.
And in less than a single day, he had accomplished what they all failed to do for years.
Godrick let out a long sigh while staring toward the destroyed castle.
"That human is a complete monster."
"I guess he really wasn’t lying when he said he’d get out of here quickly," Oasis laughed weakly through her tears.
But then Alicar’s expression darkened slightly, "...The teor," he muttered.
The others imdiately understood what he ant.
They simply stared toward the giant crater overflowing with purple flas and destruction.
Because no matter how strong Leon was... There was no way he survived that.
