"Hey."

A group consisting of around twelve players suddenly approached them from the side street ahead.

Their equipnt looked far better than average, and each of them radiated a powerful aura.

One of them imdiately pointed toward the small phoenix fla in Emilia’s hands.

"Is that..."

"Fuck off," Leon replied coldly without even slowing his pace.

The group leader, a tall man carrying a massive sword on his back, did not seem intimidated at all.

"Where did you get that?" he asked while narrowing his eyes greedily. "I’m willing to pay a huge amount for it."

"Not interested."

Leon attempted to walk past them. Unfortunately, the group imdiately blocked the path. The leader’s expression slowly beca more serious.

"That," he said calmly while pointing again toward the fla, "is a phoenix core."

Not many players understood what phoenix flas actually were. But clearly, this group knew enough.

"And we want it," the leader continued.

"Not happening," Leon answered while tightening his grip around his sword. "Last warning. Move."

At that mont, the leader glanced toward the others behind him before giving a small nod.

Boom!

Imdiately, all twelve players released their auras simultaneously.

The sheer pressure distorted the air around them while mana surged wildly across the street. Nearby players instantly backed away in fear.

Emilia imdiately grabbed her scepter with one hand while making sure to hold Celeste’s fla safely with the other.

"Our average level is eighty," the leader explained casually while pulling out his sword. "And I’m level eighty-two myself."

His grin slowly widened afterward, "So honestly, this shouldn’t even be difficult."

To them, Leon and Emilia were simply two newly advanced level seventy-five players. Weaklings.

And if they managed to obtain a phoenix fla, the benefits for their guild would be beyond imagination.

Even if they failed to revive the phoenix properly, the materials alone were priceless. A chance like this almost never appeared.

"Let’s teach these newcors how things work around here," the leader laughed while extending his arm arrogantly. "Hand it over nicely, or you’ll regret it."

Leon stared at the entire group silently for several seconds. Truthfully, he could annihilate every single one of them instantly.

Hell, Emilia alone could probably immobilize the entire group with [Dark Silk Threads]. But instead of attacking imdiately, Leon slowly smiled.

"Alright," Leon suddenly said. "Let’s make a deal."

Undead Summoning!

Dark mana exploded outward from Leon’s staff as a single undead skeleton erged before him.

The skeleton stood quietly between Leon and the hostile group while green flas flickered inside its empty eye sockets.

"If you beat my skeleton, which I’m very proud of, I’ll give you the phoenix core."

The mont the players saw it... They burst into laughter.

"Hahaha!"

"Wait, seriously?"

"This idiot wants to challenge us with a skeleton?"

One of the players nearly doubled over while laughing uncontrollably.

"I heard necromancer summons are always weaker than their masters," another mocked. "Which ans this thing is probably trash!"

"He’s basically giving us the phoenix core for free!"

The group continued laughing loudly for over a minute straight while Leon’s expression remained completely calm.

Finally, the leader stepped forward again while wiping tears from his eyes.

"Alright then," he grinned mockingly. "I’ll play along."

He pointed his sword toward the skeleton, "If I destroy this pathetic thing, the phoenix core is ours, but don’t think you can do this to trick us and escape, because we’ll find you."

"I don’t need to run," Leon answered calmly. "Just fight."

The leader cracked his neck before positioning himself directly in front of the skeleton.

anwhile, the skeleton slowly raised its rusted sword while green flas intensified inside its eyes.

"Kill him," Leon said coldly. "And kill anyone who interferes."

Leon’s undead skeleton moved the instant he gave the command, its cracked armor rattling as it stepped forward with its rusted sword raised high, while the leader of the group dashed ahead at almost the sa ti with a confident grin on his face, clearly believing the fight would end in a single strike.

To every bystander watching from the surrounding streets of the [Advanced District], the outco already seed obvious.

After all, no matter how strange Leon’s confidence was, the summon standing before the player looked pathetic.

Its armor was chipped apart in several places, its sword looked worn down, and cracks covered nearly every inch of its skeletal body as though it would collapse if soone kicked it hard enough.

anwhile, the opposing player was level 82.

The pressure pouring out of him alone was enough to make level 75 players step away nervously.

"I’m a necromancer too," a nearby player from the vampire race muttered while crossing his arms, his crimson eyes narrowing as he studied the skeleton carefully, "and that summon is literally one of the most basic undead creatures possible, so why does that human look so confident?"

"Maybe he enhanced it sohow," another player beside him shrugged while staring at Leon cautiously, "though even then, it shouldn’t matter against soone over level eighty."

"Or maybe the human’s just stupid."

A few people laughed quietly at that statent. Others simply watched in silence.

The tension in the air thickened rapidly as the level 82 player reached the skeleton first, his sword erupting with blue aura while he swung downward with enough force to split stone apart.

At the sa exact mont, Leon’s skeleton also swung.

SLASH!

The sound that echoed across the street was so sharp that several nearby players flinched instinctively.

For a split second, nobody understood what happened. Then the leader’s sword suddenly shattered into pieces.

His confident expression froze completely as Leon’s skeleton cut through the weapon like it was paper before the slash continued straight through the player’s chest without slowing down even slightly.

"What—"

The man’s body split apart before he could even finish speaking. Blood exploded onto the ground.

His corpse collapsed in two separate halves while his eyes remained wide open in disbelief.

Silence instantly swallowed the entire street. Nobody moved. Nobody spoke.

The group that had been threatening Leon only seconds ago stared at their dead leader with completely pale expressions, their minds unable to process what they had just witnessed.

The skeleton calmly lowered its sword afterward and stood motionless once more, almost as though it had done absolutely nothing impressive.

anwhile, Leon simply looked at the group with a small smile on his face.

"Looks like your leader couldn’t defeat my skeleton," he said calmly. "Now fuck off."
