Without even thinking about it, as if it was the most natural thing in the entire world, Celeste channeled her power into her flas, which imdiately beca extrely dark, and she unleashed them on all the monsters standing beneath her in a wide sweeping wave.

Fwoosh!

The dark flas swept through the crowd of monsters and hit every single one of them, including the ogres and the massive orc.

But they also washed over Emilia who was standing in the middle of the group as she was unable to get away.

And then, almost instantly, the results of her attack beca clear for everyone to see.

"Krkkkr..." the ogres groaned in agony as the dark fire consud them.

Imdiately, six of the ogres fell dead on the spot without any warning, their bodies mostly intact but their very souls having been charred from the inside by the darkness ember’s unique power.

Since monsters at this level didn’t have any real ways to protect their souls from attacks like this one, these dark flas were powerful enough to almost one shot them completely, bypassing all of their physical defenses.

As for the rest of the enemies that survived the initial burst, they all stopped whatever they were doing and fell to their knees in obvious pain, heavily injured and unable to continue their assault.

Only the massive [Orc of Oblivion] had the strength to remain standing on its feet, though even it was trembling a little from the damage, unable to swing down its massive blade the way it had wanted to monts before.

Emilia on the other hand was completely safe for so strange reason, the flas licking her skin harmlessly.

Even though the dark flas had hit her as well and should have burned her just as badly as the monsters.

She looked up to see Celeste flying above her, hovering in the air with her wings spread wide.

And she noticed that her friend’s eyes were glowing with a dark aura as she controlled the flas with her will.

Celeste could control her darkness ember to selectively injure anyone she wanted within the flas.

But that also ant she was able to make sure they were completely safe for anybody else she chose to protect, like Emilia.

"Incredible," Emilia’s eyes sparkled with amazent and joy, a wide grin appearing on her face despite the dangerous situation, "You actually did it, Celeste, you unlocked your ember!"

Once she was done with her attack though, Celeste’s entire form suddenly trembled uncontrollably.

Then her body dropped from the sky toward the ground as she fell unconscious from the strain of using such a powerful ability for the first ti.

Fwoosh!

Leon rushed forward at that exact mont, having finally returned from being knocked across the clearing, and he grabbed Celeste in mid air before she could hit the ground, cradling her gently in his arms.

"Good job," Leon smiled down at her unconscious face with genuine pride, "I knew that being put in a harsh situation with no other options would be the best way to unlock your potential, and I was right."

Leon had been ready to intervene at any mont during that fight, watching carefully, but thankfully for everyone involved, his plan had worked perfectly and Celeste had finally used her [Darkness Ember] to save her friend.

Though the sheer power of that ability was apparently enough to knock her out cold at the mont, so she wouldn’t be fighting anymore today.

Satisfied with how everything had worked out in the end, Leon turned to look at the orc of oblivion and the rest of the surviving monsters, his expression turning cold and focused.

Fwoosh! Shadow Bullets!

He summoned seven shadow bullets around his body in an instant, sending one at each of the remaining ogres that were still alive and blowing their heads clean off their shoulders with explosive force.

Then he appeared directly in front of the massive orc and unleashed the full power of his strongest skill as his sword flashed with light.

Eclipse Dance!

Hundreds of crimson and white slashes erupted all over the boss’s body in a fraction of a second.

And once again, due to Leon’s blessing on his sword that tripled his strength attribute, each one of those slashes was imnsely powerful beyond what the orc could handle.

Even the orc with its incredibly high constitution stat couldn’t endure this kind of assault, and both of its massive arms were cut off at the shoulders, then its legs were severed at the knees, and its entire body was massively injured from head to toe.

Once the skill ended and Leon stopped slashing, the orc lay on the ground groaning deeply in pain, though it wasn’t quite dead yet because Leon had held back at the very end.

"I didn’t kill it because I wanted to make sure you got the kill for your test," Leon inford Emilia with a warm smile, "Go ahead and finish it off."

Emilia nodded as she faced the orc, a dark expression of satisfaction on her face as she lifted her scepter high above her head and channeled all of her remaining mana into one final attack.

Star Cot!

She channeled every single ounce of her power into her spell without holding anything back, making it much stronger than before, and the massive cot dropped straight onto the orc’s exposed head with devastating force.

BOOOM!

A massive explosion erupted as the cot hit the orc’s head, smashing it into tiny pieces and crushing the rest of its body completely beneath the impact.

And just like that, the test was finally over.

Ding!

[You have completed the special test and gained access to the "Awakener District"]

"Phew, I finally did it," Emilia smiled at Leon with relief washing over her face, "It all worked out in the end, just like you said it would."

"Of course it did," Leon nodded confidently, "Why wouldn’t it work out with here to help?"

Fwoosh!

The exit portal of the realm appeared right above the orc’s destroyed body, glowing with a soft white light, but Leon didn’t leave just yet, since he still had to check all the panels and loot that had accumulated around him.

He placed Celeste gently on the ground to let her rest before checking his notifications.

"Nice," Leon said with satisfaction, happy with the progress.

Leon had managed to clear out this realm while only leveling up three tis total, which ant that he still could do a lot more grinding in other places before he had to worry about reaching the cap.

And more than anything else right now, he imdiately opened his [Storage Space] to check what exactly had dropped from all the monsters he had killed.
