Dorothy sincerely reached out her hand toward the charming doll-like girl across from her, patiently waiting for her response.
She was quite satisfied with her recent performance. Although this piece, "Moonlight," seed a bit off in terms of emotions, lacking so of the pain of love, it did manage to convey the the of not bowing to hardship and maintaining a rebellious heart against fate.
Moreover, she chose "Moonlight" over her personal favorite, "Fate," mainly to help Venus relate better. After all, the first movent of "Moonlight" is quite similar to the piano piece the Charm Witch had just played, and this purple-haired beauty's tune was all about the pains of love.
Anyway, for an artistic genius like Venus, her recent performance was definitely more effective than plain verbal persuasion. Everything Dorothy wanted to say had already been incorporated into that piece, and she believed the Charm Witch should be able to understand.
But....
"Teacher, I discovered Venus first."
Before the purple-haired girl could answer, Artie had already grabbed her in an embrace, looking nervously at her own teacher.
She wore an expression of "this is my best friend," but of course, that was a lie.
She wasn't afraid her teacher would take Venus away; she was worried that Venus would actually accept the teacher's invitation and beco her family.
Yeah, she was the one who ca first, whether it was becoming an apprentice or eting the teacher, but the teacher hadn't invited her to be family yet. How could she just invite Venus after eting her once?
Sure enough, the teacher prefers the soft ones who can evoke protective instincts, doesn't she?
Dorothy: "...."
Damn it, you little brat, you ruined the atmosphere I worked hard to create.
Even the Hobody Witch was left speechless.
"I don't an to snatch anyone away, alright?"
Seeing Artie's "wary minotaur" expression, she said exasperatedly.
Dorothy swore she really had no interest in this future queen; she was Madeline's and Audrey's ancestor, for goodness' sake. What other thoughts could she have?
Besides, she had already said she liked Senior Mia's type of big beauty, so not to ntion Venus, even the prettier Artie was just a brat in her eyes.
Yeah, too small, not satisfying.
What left the Hobody Witch more speechless was that Venus, while being held by Artie, blushed as well. However, judging by the smile in her eyes, she was clearly pleased with Artie's protective actions, so.....
"Sorry, Miss Hers, I appreciate your care, but in my heart I only have....."
The purple-haired girl, shy yet resolute, was about to refuse the invitation; she wasn't soone who could easily change her heart.
Even though the teacher's playing just now was truly captivating, had she not already had soone in her heart, she might have fallen right then and there.
"Hold it, hold it, I'm not hungry; I don't need to be fed dog food."
Before Venus could finish, Dorothy quickly interrupted her. The future Demon King and Queen's dog food was not sothing the single witch wanted to eat, although she still couldn't stop smiling with an "aunty grin" on her face.
"Family doesn't have to be just about romantic relationships, alright? As long as people can depend on each other, help each other, and be loyal to each other, they can be considered family. I just ant if you don't mind, I'm willing to be your support, at least next ti Artie makes you angry, you tell and I'll help you deal with her."
The Hobody Witch earnestly explained.
She, the Pure Love War God, would never do sothing like the infamous ox-head's deeds.
Hearing her explanation, the Charm Witch blushed but then also felt relieved.
After all, at this mont, Miss Hers, draped in moonlight, was truly as charming as one could be. She didn't dare to look at her too closely, worried that a few more glances might truly change her heart.
"If that's the case, then teacher above, I am willing."
She quickly bowed her head in a respectful nod, and as for the title, Venus naturally chose to call her teacher, just like Artie.
Dorothy: "...."
She glared helplessly at Artie beside her; it was all this kid's bad influence.
What qualifications did she have to let this future Wise Queen acknowledge her as a teacher, and now that she was called teacher, she'd have to teach sothing, right?
The Hobody Witch scratched her head and simply reached out to tap Venus's forehead, transferring all the musical scores from her brain.
Well, she had just indulged her scribe's habit earlier and probably wouldn't bother to show off in the future. After all, she wasn't really into art, thought magic research was more interesting, so instead of hiding it, she reckoned she might as well give everything to this art-loving Charm Witch to carry forward.
That's what she thought.
And Venus, who received the inheritance, was initially stunned by the sudden influx of master's scores in her mind, then overjoyed.
"So the piece you played just now is called 'Moonlight'? I really like it."
She said sincerely.
"Alright, no need for excessive praise, they're actually just so mundane tunes from the mortal world that aren't particularly precious in the Witch World. It's just that these pieces hold special aning for , but if you like them, that's great."
