She had to admit, she had been a bit overconfident before. Having faced many uphill battles, suddenly fighting in such a one-sided match undoubtedly skewed her perspective. She beca careless, no longer as cautious and strategic as before, instead putting too much faith in sheer firepower and underestimating her opponent.
How could the old Dorothy have given Alice a chance to backstab her? She would never stop firing until she had turned the entire Arena into dust. But just monts ago, she had tried to pull off a cool walk-away-from-the-explosion trick without looking back, almost getting herself killed in the process.
"Sigh, who would have thought my silly little sister could learn so dirty tricks? I'm actually quite relieved now."
When the light that was Alice had completely dissipated, Dorothy stood up, thinking this to herself.
The little witch's plan had nearly succeeded, if Dorothy hadn't just learned the Ti Stop spell.
The very instant the spear that couldn't miss was fired, Dorothy's inspiration began to sound off frantic alarms, and the threat of death sharply focused her spirit. In that mont, she even saw a future where she was pierced and killed by that very spear.
Therefore, without ti to think, Dorothy imdiately cast the Forbidden Curse, Ti Stop.
Accompanied by "Za Warudo," her own chosen activation code, the terrifying power of the curse descended suddenly.
Just as with the Fireball Technique, there was a guiding consciousness showing Dorothy how to release the curse, only this ti, the path to follow was far more complex, billions of tis more so.
And crucially, Dorothy really didn't know this curse – she was a true beginner with Ti Stop, so she could only follow the guidance, unlike with the Fireball Technique where she could dismiss the guiding will and do it herself.
But damn it, couldn't this guiding consciousness speed up? This was a matter of life or death. If it took its sweet ti, she'd be dead long before it finished casting.
With her spirit highly focused, Dorothy could clearly see the long spear, like a red shooting star, flying rapidly toward her.
The speed of light, roughly 300,000 kiloters per second, and the distance between her and Alice was less than 10 kiloters. The ti she had to cast the spell was next to nothing, practically negligible.
Fortunately, the power of the curse began to take effect the mont she started casting, rather than waiting until the spell's completion for ti to suddenly stop.
From the instant Dorothy began casting, the flow of ti in her eyes had already started to slow. As her progress in casting the spell increased, the Gungnir Spear in her view also gradually slowed down.
But still, with the current speed of guidance, it was too slow – she wouldn't be able to finish the spell before being impaled.
"Faster, faster, can't you speed up? You dare to call yourself a fully proficient guide with this speed?"
In that mont, under imnse pressure, Dorothy no longer bothered suppressing the nature of the Fairy King; she maintained a rapid synchronization with the guiding consciousness while casting the spell, all the while furiously complaining.
In the Mage Position, a state akin to "invoking a spirit" for casting spells, the guiding consciousness quite obviously heard the whispers of the Ho Martial Soul.
Seemingly a bit miffed, the guiding will suddenly accelerated, jumping from single to ten tis its original speed.
And Dorothy could vaguely sense a simple thought from this guiding will: "I'm very angry, you're in trouble now."
It seed that the guide was truly upset, wanting to see this arrogant witch fail.
But truth be told, the master of this guiding consciousness must be a very kind-hearted witch because, despite its pique, it remained close by the current of magical power, always ready to prevent any catastrophic failure due to a misfired spell.
After all, the consequences of a failed spell, particularly a misfired Forbidden Curse, were severe, with magical backlash that could actually be fatal.
Dorothy quickly caught onto this, and while she wasn't terribly afraid of dying in the Arena, she appreciated the gesture nonetheless.
"I'm sorry, my tone was wrong, but I'm really pressed for ti here. Could you speed up a bit more?"
As Dorothy silently apologized in her mind, she swiftly managed to keep up with the tenfold speed of the guidance with her magic power.
Well, after all, with her Precision score as an S, and now her four layers of thought processes active, such an increase in speed was hardly a challenge for her.

And in the few monts since, the red spear had closed in to less than 3 kiloters from her. She had no choice but to keep urging for more speed.
The guiding will, ready to assist Dorothy in case of any mistake, was taken aback. It was surprised to discover that this little witch who had summoned it truly had exceptional Talent; she hadn't made a single error and copied the guide's entire sequence flawlessly.
This sparked a competitive spirit in the guiding will. It quickened the pace once more, though not daring to increase it too much, rely going from tenfold to twentyfold speed.
It figured that must be the limit for this little witch because it could see she truly had no foundation in Forbidden Curses.
