Dorothy naturally did not know how shocked the red-haired Big Sister Angel at the dock nearby was at this mont.
As far as she was concerned, after admiring the beautiful big sister, Dorothy would turn her head and forget about her, the hobody witch was now curiously picking out a fishing rod, making preparations for fishing.
As a novice who was fishing for the first ti in her life, it was natural that she didn't own a fishing rod. At first, she thought a fishing rod was just a flexible long pole that she could whip up on the spot. It was nothing special.
However, upon learning about the uniqueness of fishing in the Witch World, she also ca to understand that the fishing rods in this world might not be so simple.
And the other sisters all had their own rods and fishing gear, while she alone had nothing to show for it, which was quite embarrassing.
Fortunately, Senior Mia quickly opened her personal treasury and dragged out a whole rack of spare fishing rods.
"Little Fairy, pick one and use it for now," Senior Mia said with a resigned but indulgent smile.
Sophia and Audrey, who actually also thought of lending their spare fishing rods to Dorothy, silently withdrew their hands upon seeing this.
Alas, they really couldn't compete with this wealthy senior; it was better for the two of them to save face.
"Thank you, Senior," Dorothy gratefully looked at Senior Mia, thanking her for stepping in, and then unceremoniously stepped forward, scrutinizing the fishing rods.
Since these were Senior Mia's personal items, they very much reflected her personal style, extravagant and adorned with gold and jewels. Each rod, from the material to the appearance, was impeccable, with exquisite carvings clearly crafted by a master.
But Dorothy was naturally not much of an aesthete; she didn't care much for elegance. Rather than admiring the beauty and artistry of the rods, she was more focused on their craftsmanship and the Magic Pattern Arrays.
"So, that's how it is. I get it," Dorothy nodded after briefly appraising the rods. She didn't pick any of the high-level rods from the rack, instead taking out a piece of mithril from her bag and activating her magic power, Alchemy at full blast.
She ended up crafting a fishing rod on the spot, but compared to those delicate high-end rods on the rack, the one in her hands was plain and, unadorned.
"You, you..." Senior Mia appeared a bit exasperated, but having known Dorothy for so ti, she wasn't angry over her loved one's preference for not taking advantage of others and simply shook her head.
The Golden Princess retracted the rack and stuffed a box of bait into her beloved's hands, stating unquestionably,
"Don't refuse, or I'll really get mad."
Seeing Senior Mia's serious expression, the hobody witch reluctantly accepted it.
Afterward, she opened the box to find, to her amazent, that this seemingly ordinary box of bait was actually a spatial equipnt with its own little world inside.
The space inside the box was divided into sizable compartnts, each containing different baits, and among them, the most eye-catching were so plump white worm-like baits.
These slender worms, marked by circular rings around their bodies, were the so-called "Serendipitous Baits," which could be used to fish for all sorts of bizarre things.
This type of bait required witches from the School of Prophecy to infuse them with the Power of Fate to create, so they were not cheap. But with Senior Mia's generosity, Dorothy felt she could beco a fisherman today and fish every day for years to co with the amount provided.
"Use these first; if it's not enough, co back for more," said Senior Mia with a laugh, leaving Dorothy speechless.
Well, alright then.
She had resolved not to be a kept woman, but now... it was irresistibly appealing.
This wasn't a lack of backbone on her part; she was rely concerned that further refusal could hurt their friendship, which wouldn't be good.
So, she didn't say much more. She took a Serendipitous Bait worm and infused a bit of magic power into her handmade fishing rod. Instantly, a Magic Silk Thread extended from the tip of the otherwise plain rod, and a sharp Magic Fish Hook materialized at its end.
Dorothy attached the worm to the Magic Fish Hook and, with a suave flick, cast the hook into the pond ahead.
"Tsk, if I had known that fishing could also train Control of Magical Power, I would have beco a fisherman sooner," the hobody witch mused to herself.
From the Magic Pattern Arrays on the fishing rods, she had realized that fishing for witches was not just for entertainnt but also a practice thod.
The arrays carved on the rods weren't auxiliary magic for fishing; their only function was to condense magic power into fishing lines and hooks.
The arrays were so rudintary that they only had the condensation function without even a sustaining function.
If this were a cheap and shoddy fishing rod, Dorothy might have thought that the rod was trash and, therefore, so was the array.
But those rods belonged to Senior Mia, her high-level belongings, and obviously couldn't be trash. The only explanation was that it was intentional.
