"Hey, aren't you being a bit too overbearing?"
"Are you teaching how to do things?"
"Is this, then, the hospitality of you witches?"
...
Facing the Fairy King's aggressive accusations, so of the young Angels in the Angel Delegation could no longer bear it as they spoke out.
When had they ever suffered such indignities?
After all, the young Angels who had been brought along this ti to represent heaven and engage in academic exchange with the young Witches were all of exceptional Talent and high status.
In the strictly hierarchical society of heaven, they were the stars of tomorrow, receiving attention and respect wherever they went. Everyone treated these 'Supre Gods' politely and with reverence. They had always been in a superior position, bullying others. When had it ever been their turn to be talked down to by others?
Suddenly feeling offended, these young Angels found it hard to restrain themselves, and their gazes towards the mbers of the Judicial Tribunal beca hostile.
"I had thought that, as mbers of the noble Golden Race, witches and Angels would possess a high level of civility and elegance just like in heaven. I never imagined you would be so barbaric. Aren't you afraid of bringing sha to the glory of the God King?"
"Oh great God King, You are the God above Gods, but why are Your kin so arrogant and ignorant? This is profanity against Your glory; those who act unjustly shall face Divine Punishnt."
...
For a mont, the Angel Delegation voiced various criticisms, but that was all—they criticized but, surprisingly, no one was foolish enough to angrily lash out.
"Tch, fine, it's not so easy after all. Why can't I ever co across one of those dim-witted characters from a novel?"
Dorothy, seeing this, was sowhat disappointed.
But that was to be expected. After all, the Envoy Corps from heaven wasn't just made up of a few young Angels randomly picked up from the streets. Those included in the Envoy Corps were genuine talents ticulously selected by the upper echelons of heaven. The approximately one hundred young Angels were all genuine Elites, and it was unlikely that any fool intent on slumming it would be mixed in among them.
It seed that her blunt provocations weren't going to be effective after all. While the young Angels seed quite enraged, they were actually quite angry, but a closer look into their eyes revealed that they were, on the whole, still very calm and were not likely to lose their heads.
Especially...
Dorothy's gaze shifted to the two Angels at the very center of the Angel Delegation, deep in thought.
The gender-neutral, handso Angel with ten wings on their back who seed scholarly and amiable, whose gender was hard to discern, must be Sariel, that Archangel beneath the Lord of Glory, who data indicated was the target of special attention.
To be fair, when the Fairy King had been mocking them, Dorothy did feel a bit of trepidation. This ancient Archangel truly made her nervous; they felt so inscrutable, almost as formidable as the Grand Judge Pan she had encountered a few days earlier in the Judicial Tribunal Inquisition Division.
This one was a Sage Level big-shot.
Provoking such a high-caliber big-shot made Dorothy feel as if she were playing the part of an overconfident, self-deluded villain, like dancing on a nuclear warhead for the thrill.
Even with the power of the Spell Slot at her disposal, she could at most demonstrate the strength of a top-tier Great Witch. Such power was clearly insufficient against a being of Sage Level.
But she wasn't overly worried. After all, the Clown mask she wore wasn't senior Fanny's tentacles, but her true body. Although this Future Fourth King was sowhat unhinged and thus not at full strength, embarrassing among Sages, here in the Witch World, Dorothy benefitted from the ho-field advantage courtesy of the Mother of the World. Even if she might not be able to win in the end, self-preservation was undoubtedly more than assured.
The only problem was the excessive noise from Senior Joyful.
"Wow, Dorothy is domineering, Dorothy is mighty. Yes, yes, yes, that's right. Don't be timid. I got your back. We can't let these angels look down on us. Charge, don't hesitate. You could even go a bit further."
Ever since the beginning, this Masked Senior Sister had been egging Dorothy on, seemingly worried that no fight would break out.
Although her strong support certainly gave Dorothy courage, this accursed rry Maker didn't seem particularly reliable.
"Hey, senior, any further would really be playing with fire. After all, they're a delegation that has co for normal interactions. Isn't our attitude a bit too offensive? We're just antagonizing them for no reason, aren't we?"
Dorothy said, sowhat at a loss for words.
In her mind, even in warring armies, envoys were not to be touched. Moreover, relations between the Witch World and heaven hadn't deteriorated to the point of war. Thus, the delegation from heaven should naturally be received with civility and dignity, demonstrating grace without subservience. This would foster harmonious coexistence and mutual benefit.
But both the intimidatory demands of the Judicial Tribunal and senior Fanny's attitude left her sowhat puzzled.
Is it who is out of touch? she wondered, the Hobody Witch feeling a bit conflicted internally.
"Don't hesitate, Dorothy. This ti it wasn't us inviting them; they applied to co here. It's obvious even without thinking that it's the Lord of Glory's scheming behind this. Their so-called academic exchange definitely harbors no good intentions. A friendly visitor should certainly be greeted with a smile, but for an unwelco guest, it's appropriate to ready the shotgun."
