Really, shouldn't the first reaction of a normal witch at this ti be to fear that she had truly defected to the angels or to denounce her for a lack of firm stance? Which mistress thinks like this, still considering hiding it for her?
My mistress, by doing this, are you truly living up to your identity as the Grand Inquisitor of the Judgnt Court? If everyone in the Judgnt Court compromised justice for personal relationships like you, then the Witch World would sooner or later be dood.
The Pure White Angel thought this in her heart, but it did not prevent her from feeling a slight joy because of the mistress's reaction.
Well, just a tiny bit indeed.
Actually, whether she hid her identity or not, she didn't care that much anymore; after all, she had never been very concerned about what others thought of her, and the person she cared about had already given her their answer.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk, why can't you appreciate what's good for you? I'm trying to help you, and you repay my kindness with a rejection; that's practically an act of ingratitude."
Dorothy, suddenly handed this taphorical "nice guy" card, widened her eyes and looked at Sophia with so annoyance.
"Alright, alright, I was wrong. But, mistress, aren't you really worried that I might truly defect to my mother? After all, even if I really did, there wouldn't be any serious consequences."
The proud Student Council President, unusually for her, did not maintain her usual defiance. Instead, she just chuckled and said so.
As she said, with the Lord of Glory about to break the seal, if she truly defected now, with the protection of that King of Angels who was her mother, no one in the Witch World could do much to her, aside from The Third King.
But The Third King definitely wouldn't step in for sothing so trivial.
Heh, the Witch King in the Witch World enjoys the blessing of the Heavenly Mandate and can almost be considered Omniscient and Omnipotent Deities. Surely her mother, the King of Angels, could not have sneaked into the dreams of this Witch's Night unless she had God King's permission.
If Mother Superior hadn't reached so kind of agreent with the God King this ti, Sophia would be the first to disbelieve it.
She could almost be sure that she, as the daughter of the Lord of Glory, must also be part of this significant transaction.
"Would you do it?"
Dorothy didn't answer but instead asked back, now staring directly into Sophia's eyes.
The two locked eyes, and in the end, it was Sophia who looked away first.
"Yes, I've been around you too long, mistress, and I've caught your foolishness."
Sophia laughed at herself mockingly.
To be fair, purely from a perspective of self-interest, aligning with the Lord of Glory, her Mother Superior, would undoubtedly promise her a brighter future.
Being the sole progeny of Mother Superior, once she broke the seal and returned to Heaven, she would be second only to one, above all angels, the Heavenly Princess.
This was much more profitable than struggling for everything on her own in the Witch World, sparing her endless years of effort. Compared to this, even the inheritance left to the mistress by her teacher was not worth ntioning.
When the mistress had refused the teacher back then, Sophia had stood to one side, laughing at how foolish the mistress was. But now, when faced with the sa dilemma, she realized she was the bigger fool.
Heaven is wonderful, but in the end, it's not what she wants.
In the Witch World, she lived under the shadow of a secret about her origins, deprived of freedom.
But going to Heaven, would she be free? It was just that the sword hanging over her head would have shifted from the Witch Tribunal to Mother Superior, the Lord of Glory.
Even if the Lord of Glory wouldn't harm her daughter but would genuinely nurture her as the next-in-line, a deity standing above did not care for the thoughts of mortals down below who must only obey their divine will.
Once she went to Heaven, she would forever be the Heavenly Princess, and not Sophia.

Sophia rolled her eyes at the mischievously pleased mistress and then rebutted.
Probably no one understood the mistress better than she did now. It might seem like they were joking and laughing together, but that was because she was still viewed as "family" in the mistress's heart. If she truly betrayed the witch and voluntarily defected to Heaven, it probably wouldn't be long before she'd experience what a witch's fury truly ant.
Though the Lord of Glory was powerful, she was not invincible. If the Divine King could assault Heaven before, then it's likely that her mistress could do so eventually as well.
Sophia no longer had many doubts about this.
Yeah, my mistress indeed has the potential to be a ruler.
"What nonsense are you talking about? How could that be possible? I'm just an ordinary civil engineering witch. Even if you really left, I could only cry my heart out; I don't have what it takes to abduct a Heavenly Princess, it's impossible, utterly impossible."
