In the sky above the Witch Academy, two witches were riding their brooms, hurrying along.
The one with golden hair was of stunning beauty, enchanting and alluring. She sat side-saddle on her broom like a proper lady, her slender and rounded legs in white silk naturally falling. Behind her trailed nine fluffy fox tails, her deanor elegant and captivating.
The other, whose skin was bronzed as though scorched by the sun, appeared sowhat rebellious, not only with multicolored hair but her face was so heavily made-up it was nearly masked.
However, incongruous with her rebellious exterior was the way she rode her broom; she sat astride it in the most obedient posture, the kind usually seen only with young little witches or very old-fashioned elders.
This peculiar witch's attire was also conservative: a long black robe paired with lantern trousers, virtually encasing her entire body tightly, leaving no trace of the exposure and provocativeness expected of a typical hot girl.
Yet, when a breeze in flight brushed against her, causing her robe to cling to her form, the silhouette it briefly accentuated was dazzling enough to montarily eclipse the allure of the Fox Witch flying beside her.
"Sis... Senior sister, the school exams for the different factions within the academy are usually conducted by the corresponding clubs. If you wish to be assessed for any faction, just go to the relevant club,"
said a small, chibi-style Fox Doll perched on the shoulder of the Fox Witch.
Audrey still found it difficult to address her as senior sister, feeling that she should be the one in that role, but she had no choice, as she was the one asking for help. Though reluctant, she spoke through her Puppet.
After speaking, she summoned up her courage to steal a glance at the senior sister flying beside her.
For the socially anxious Little Fox, this was already an adventurous act.
The more she looked, the thicker the confusion grew in Little Fox's eyes.
She began to suspect that there was sothing abnormal about this senior sister.
For she couldn't sense even a hint of desire for herself emanating from this senior sister nad Dorothy.
"This isn't right. Has my Talent for sensing desire stopped working?" Audrey wondered, unsettled.
She had never encountered soone who was not attracted to her. In fact, even her family mbers couldn't help but inadvertently harbor so innate desires when they saw her: both of her mothers, her aunt, and her sister had all felt the sa.
It wasn't about morality; it was just a biological instinct.
Any being with a concept of aesthetics would have a hard ti resisting her charm.
Truthfully, if her family didn't have a certain status and power, she probably would have been snatched away long ago to be kept as a private collection or as forbidden fruit, and one shouldn't think highly of the Witches' integrity in this regard.
Even her family was not at ease with her coming to study at the Witch Academy. They would not have agreed to her enrollnt had she not insisted.
But now, Audrey suddenly found soone who seed genuinely uninterested in her, which made the Little Fox feel unexpectedly uncomfortable.
If the two of them really had no connection, that would be one thing. She wasn't pathological enough to believe that everyone must like her, but the problem was that she now needed sothing from this person, and feeling that her Talent was malfunctioning was distressing for the Little Fox.
At this mont, she felt like a fledgling Succubus who had just set her sights on her first hunting target, only to suddenly discover that the prey's XP was unrecognizable; she was utterly baffled and at a loss, unsure of what to do next.
Deep down, she was already thinking about retreating. But when she saw the lifelike beautiful girl Puppet on the shoulder of the new senior sister, she bit her lip, feeling she could still persevere a bit longer.
However, this senior sister really had a lot of pets. There was a black kitten lying on her left shoulder, fast asleep. The Little Puppet was playfully stroking the slumbering black cat.
On her right shoulder was an even more preposterous sight: a majestic little Pureblood Dragon stood there.
Yes, it was indeed a Pureblood Dragon, not a Sub-Dragon or any lesser kind, and Audrey was certainly not ignorant enough to fail to recognize one.
Although she didn't know what breed this all-black Dragon that looked forged from steel was, its authentic Dragon-type aura spoke volus about the purity of its bloodline.
Even though the Witch World had once dominated the Great Dragons, it didn't an the Calamity Race of Dragons would completely submit to the Witches. In fact, the only ones who could barely manage to control the fierce creatures and use them as familiars or Magic Pets were a few descendants of the Dragon King from the Dragon Kingdom.
The proud Dragons only acknowledged the supre authority of the Dragon King, who had subdued them with brute force. They disregarded all others, even the accounts of the Divine King and the Devil King, who held equal title as the Witch King.
By this account, the senior sister must have co from within the Dragon Kingdom.
But then Audrey recalled what her mothers used to say about the Dragon Kingdom.
A group of barbarians who appreciate no art, brutes with minds filled with nothing but muscle, warriors obsessed with fighting and dueling...
emmmmm...
This sister doesn't seem to be very much like a Dragon Witch, where would a Dragon Witch have such profound knowledge?
Anyway, this sister is a bit hard to read.
Audrey, sowhat incredulous, for the first ti proactively activated her Talent of Source of Desire, and with the enhancent of her magic power, the effects of this Talent were greatly improved.
As a result, various passersby's wild imaginations began to materialize as images in her mind. However, the experienced Little Fox imdiately packed up all these filthy thoughts and discarded them, focused on sensing the desires of the sister beside her.
However, there really were none.
Even though Audrey had already pushed her Talent to the max, she still didn't sense anything.
emmmm.... Wait, there seems to be a faint sensation now.
The Little Fox, delighted to finally catch a trace of emotion from her sister, quickly began to decipher this string of feelings.
And the result...
"This little sister is genuinely so innocent that it's a bit silly. She's already so pitiful, I should be nicer to her from now on, take better care of her."
Audrey: "....."
As she looked at the sentence she had analyzed, filled with a bit of guilt, Little Fox felt emotionally complex for a mont. Find exclusive stories on empire
Why, when she finally saw an opportunity to achieve her dreams, and when she finally t soone who didn't have those disgusting thoughts about her, didn't these two good things together create more happiness?
Then why couldn't she feel entirely happy about it?
Who's being silly? Even if you are my sister, you can't just make false accusations like that, and who needs your care? A witch as weak as you, I could fight ten of you single-handedly.
Little Fox thought angrily to herself again.
But who would have thought this seemingly bad sister turned out to be a good person after all.
Audrey took another careful look at her heavily made-up sister and, because she hadn't felt those vile desires, her social anxiety didn't kick in.
Her courage grew slightly.
This was the first ti since she was born, apart from her family, that she felt a stranger wasn't scary.
It's just, maybe because it was her first ti looking soone in the eye so carefully, the other person noticed her gaze.
"Is there sothing on my face?"
Dorothy touched her face sowhat warily, thinking her makeup might have sared.
"Ah, no, no, I just think that you might be a good person, um, the kind without those worldly desires."
Caught stealing glances, Little Fox shafully bowed her head. She wanted to apologize, but even though she wasn't afraid of this sister now, they weren't well-acquainted, so she still felt a peculiar sha about speaking up.
In the end, the chibi doll on her shoulder spoke the words in her heart for her.
Dorothy: "...."
This little sister must have so serious illness. I was just trying to trick her and she thinks I'm a good person?
This kid is lucky to have t ; otherwise, she might be duped by soone for a spicy skewer thirteen tis a night.
And what do you an I don't have worldly desires? That's because my tools for committing the act have been confiscated, okay?
Tsk, forget it, I'm tired of thinking. Anyway, I really don't have those kinds of pleasures anymore. Now, only studying magic and learning new knowledge can stir a bit of excitent in .
I should keep a closer eye on this silly little sister in the future. I can't have her getting into trouble and affecting my relationship with Spider Teacher. I haven't finished using up Spider Teacher's resources yet.
She thought to herself.
... The two witches travel on.....
