Godfrey sat on a pile of rubble with a dungeon core in his grasp. This was a 20.3 core, just 0.3 tier shy of Origin Tier and he knew just who to give it to.
"Lysander." He called out to his sixth knight who walked over and caught the core Godfrey tossed at him.
The knight commander absorbed it, rising from tier 16.0 to 17.0. Godfrey appeared in his soul space, his heart beating hard as he approached the end of Lysander’s chamber.
Lysander had reached his peak. Rising from 14.5 to 17.0 in a very short span. Had it not been for this dungeon, it would have taken him quite a while to get here.
Luckily for him, it turned out to be this way. He gasped softly while staring at the huge wooden door.
After taking a deep breath, Godfrey placed his palms on the two sides of the door and pushed it inwards. With a loud sound, the door gave in.
He walked to the end of the hallway and saw a huge tablet, almost ten feet tall.
Na: Dragon Knight of the Golden Order
Type: Hybrid
Tier: 19.5
Potential: 22.0
Description: [A Knight General, dragon lord of the sun, Twin blade of a hundred suns, cot of annihilation and destruction. Can wield flas of the Origin sun, the hottest flas ever seen. Master of the dual swords style. In Black-Out State, this general can choose to transform into the sun dragon, becoming a living, breathing sun in the shape of a monster.]
’A top level Divine Tier knight with an Origin Tier potential! I knew this knight would be different but this is on another level. Could this be the difference between generals and other ranking knights?’
Godfrey’s eyes went to the door. On it was a dragon soaring the sky with the sun above it. Beneath the dragon was an entire landscape of dead golden order knights. Their bodies ford hills, their blood ford streams. The land was scorched beyond comprehension.
Staring at the magnificent beast, he was certain no dragon was like this. This dragon was an entity linked to the sun. It could also be the reason he always saw a sun behind the castle.
That might have been this dragon knight all along.
His eyes went to a small figure standing. Through the immaculate etching, this figure’s shadow stretched down. The only knight standing.
’To think I just understood it now. This castle is teaching the most important thing. The history of the Golden Order.’
Godfrey pushed the doors open. It was ti to see this general. Everything he expected collapsed when darkness greeted him.
Just then, a deep, rumbling growl filled his eardrums and a dragon head covered in thick layers of golden scales with over six horns growing out, two being the longest while the others continued in the descending order.
Two massive eyes that seed to contain the sun within them gazed at Godfrey. The head of the dragon alone was bigger than Godfrey’s entire body.
Godfrey felt intimidated. This was the second ti in a long ti, he was intimidated by his own summon. Mountain was the first and now it was this general.
It was already in Black-Out State. Currently, a 20.5 sun dragon with firepower is so incredible, the alchemist wrote more praises than information about him.
This was the only knight with so many titles and he felt like the Alchemists were exercising restraint.
Both of them stared at each other for a while. Godfrey was certain he wouldn’t win this fight but he didn’t need to fight. He was the master in this relationship.
When that confidence shone in his eyes, the massive dragon head retreated into the darkness and flas lit up, revealing a round platform where a tall knight stood.
Clad in the golden plate armour that was like the scales of a dragon. Wide, sharp tipped pauldrons, a white loincloth in between two long legs clad in armour and a brown belt that held two swords.
His helm resembled a dragon’s skull. The top rose into sharp, jagged ridges, like broken horns. So were curved, others were straight and jagged. It had an angular visor slit, revealing two glowing draconic eyes.
The general went on one knee, slamd his fist against his chest plate and bowed his head.
"It is an honour to be before the Crown Prince."
Godfrey approached him and touched his pauldron. "I feel like you’ve existed in the castle longer than the others. Should I na you?"
"I must be nad. Those that are not nad will be banished from this castle, we must bear the na given by the king." The dragon knight responded.
"I see." Godfrey exhaled. He remained silent for a long while before a na that suited his taste ca to mind.
"Solstice. That is what you shall be called."
"I shall bear this na with pride. You are the crown prince, the throne isn’t too far, tell , what are your desires? I shall bring them to you." Solstice said solemnly.
Godfrey smiled softly. ’I’ve truly stepped into a new stage. I can face the next floor with confidence.’
His eyes opened in the real world. He just rembered he was still sitting on a pile of rubbles but that wasn’t too important. His eyes went to the light gate.
Godfrey jumped down and made his way to the gate. His new knight, the seventh knight would definitely be amongst the most powerful summons in the western region.
He couldn’t wait to see what Solstice could do.
***
Godfrey couldn’t believe his eyes as Solstice stretched forth his golden gauntleted hand and a hundred golden fla balls appeared, most of them were small enough to be covered by the palm of an adult but the heat billowing off them was enough for Godfrey to activate Mountain’s shield do.
Solstice himself faced off against a horde of undead. The mont he pushed his hand forward, the sun balls blew up, laying waste to hundreds of undead.
Yet, Solstice was unsatisfied. He lifted his hand up, manifesting a massive sun ball. That hand transford into a dragon’s arm.
The entire terrain changed, orange and red reflecting on the faces of the skeletons, especially the dark lich leading them on a skeletal horse.
Solstice launched it, wiping out thousands of skeletons and leaving a gaping hole, forever changing the terrain.
The dark lich’s ghastly blue orbs in its eye sockets increased as its bony jaws fell downward.
Solstice blitzed through the battlefield, unsheathing, slicing off the lich’s head and resheathing his swords before grabbing the lich’s head.
Solstice made his way back to Godfrey, went on one knee and presented the lich’s head worn the dungeon core which was chained around the horse it rode.
"Your spoil, my prince."
