"Put down, Pei Yan stop him, we cannot let him escape. When the mission starts, Gu Chu has given instructions that he is the primary capture target. Not only have our supporters from the Magic Realm repeatedly ntioned that he must be captured!" Hearing Du Guangyuan’s words, Wang Wenze watched the Sea of Blood recede like a tide, lifted his head, and shouted to Pei Yan, who was flying with him in his arms.
Upon hearing this, Pei Yan no longer hesitated. Together with his sister, he returned Wang Wenze and Liang Qian to the ground. Then, he darted ahead, frantically firing electromagnetic cannons and launching a tal storm at the dwindling form of Du Guangyuan.
With the barrage, large blossoms of blood were sent skyward, imdiately exploding into a mist of blood that obscured everyone’s vision. Seeing this, Pei Yan quickly activated his chanical Eye, employing various imaging techniques to track the opponent. However, to his disappointnt, in this blood mist, everything seed to rge into one, indistinguishable.
"Over there!" A mont later, a line of blood shot out from the blood mist, discovered one after another by the four people. Liang Qian loudly reminded.
As soon as the words fell, the Pei Family Siblings had already darted into the air. Pei Yan targeted the line for another bout of indiscriminate bombardnt. Only then did he truly understand what Wang Wenze ant by saying this guy was tough to handle; all his attacks were swallowed by Du Guangyuan like stones sinking into the sea, without any noticeable reaction.
Seeing the blood line moving faster and growing fainter, Pei Yan was anxious at the thought of the opponent escaping when suddenly a violent tremor shook the heavens and the earth. This tremor was different from any earthquake Pei Yan had caused; the entire space was quaking, displaying signs of Jiezhi Space on the brink of collapse.
Feeling the impact of this tremor, both the fleeing Du Guangyuan and pursuing Pei Yan cried out in dismay, plumting from the air. Pei Jin, with her origin boiling within, made a few leaps to grasp her brother in her arms.
By now, Pei Yan had removed his faceplate, his face pale, looking at Pei Jin with fright, "Sister, what’s happening!" At this mont, he felt as if his origins and bloodline were completely sealed within, struggling even to move a finger.
"That person’s about to break free! The Jiezhi Space here cannot withstand her energy; it will be torn apart. We must leave quickly, or we’ll be caught in spatial turbulence, and not even gods could save us!" Pei Jin laid her hand on Pei Yan, calming his internal energy as she explained.
"Sister, are you okay?" Now able to move after adjusting his origin, Pei Yan imdiately understood whom his sister referred to and shifted his gaze to another part of the battlefield where the sealed box lay, left unattended. From the start of the fight, all the fighting seed to avoid this area, and anyone who attempted to forcefully take the sealed box instantly beca surrounded and attacked.
Now, at the foot of the mountain, the small sealed box with three talismans stuck on it had half of them burnt. The chains binding the box, emitting an eerie purple glow, had dimd and were fading to reveal a silver-white core.
"I’ve had my origins longer than you, I can still handle so. Now that you can move, let’s split up and get your friends out of Jiezhi Space!" Pei Yan flicked his hair and softly instructed.
"Alright! Sister, be careful!"
"You too!"
With their decision made, the two imdiately split up. Pei Yan went near to where Wang Wenze and Liang Qian were lying, both in the sa condition he recently was, unable to move, when Wang Wenze, seeing Pei Yan approach, tried hard to part his lips, murmuring, "Pei Yan, what’s going on now!"
"No ti for explanations! The space here is about to collapse, I’m getting you out first!" With that, Pei Yan lifted each of them, channeled his origin into them, and then activated Jiezhi Space. Within monts, a light descended from the heavens, enveloping the three.
Outside Jiezhi Space, regaining freedom of movent, Wang Wenze took deep breaths of fresh air and turned his head to the side just as another light flashed, and Pei Jin appeared beside him, carrying Jiang Donghu and Ye Ruozai.
"Anyone else?" Pei Jin turned her head to ask.
"Xia Yu, Jiumu, and Old Zheng are still inside!" Pei Yan, now standing, remarked anxiously.
Pei Jin closed her eyes, contemplated for a mont, then nodded: "I rember Xia Yu and that man’s positions. I’ll go bring them out, you go and get Jiumu!"
"Alright!"
Having discussed, the two again transford into streams of light, disappearing from the sight of the others. Once they re-entered Jiezhi Space, Pei Yan was startled by the scene before him. In less than two minutes, the space had undergone earth-shaking changes.
The sky was dark, with only faint light filtering down. Looking up, he saw cracks appearing in the space above, and the largest of them was already a person-sized hole, sucking everything around it into the fissure.
In the distance, the once-calm lake was now turbulent, dragons of water spiraling upwards, while the ground below continued to crack, soil upheaving, the surroundings filled with flying sand and stones, shrouded in darkness impossible to see through.
Flying toward the place where Ye Jiumu had been earlier, Pei Yan activated the searchlight on his shoulder to light his way, all the while shouting through a loudspeaker, "Jiumu! Jiumu! If you’re there, respond!"
"Pei Yan! I, I’m here!"
Flying past half a mountain peak, Pei Yan suddenly heard a weak cry for help from behind. He quickly turned back and flew toward the sound, descending following it. After using his chanical Eye’s thermal imaging system to search for a while, he finally found Ye Jiumu buried under the soil.
With effort, he cleared away the dirt covering him, grabbed his wrist, and pulled Ye Jiumu out, along with the mud-caked Wang Yiyi, who had been firmly held beneath him.
"Cough, cough, cough, should we take this person, or leave her here to die!" Just freed from the soil, Ye Jiumu coughed repeatedly, spitting out the dirt from his mouth, glanced at Wang Yiyi lying on the ground, and asked.
Pei Yan looked down to see Wang Yiyi’s panic-stricken, pleading expression now that she had regained consciousness, and imdiately responded, "Leading one sheep is the sa as leading two, leaving none behind, let’s go!"
With that, he placed his hand on both of them, activating the chanism. This ti, the light descending from the sky did so much slower than before. As Pei Yan waited impatiently, he glanced around and was sowhat reassured to see several light beams rising. He thought surely one of them had to be his sister.
Afterward, he directed his gaze toward the sealed box’s location, enhancing his chanical Eye resolution. He was surprised to find the three talismans on the box had all burned away, the chains wrapping the box now snapped, and cracks had appeared on the box.
"Faster, faster! If it’s not fast enough, it’ll be too late!" Seeing this scene, Pei Yan looked at the slowly descending beam of light from the sky and prayed fervently in his heart.
