Seeing the solemn expression on Lin Ruxue’s face, Pei Yan couldn’t help but sit up straight and listen attentively as she slowly recounted that tale from the past.

"The space barrier at that ti was so resilient that it couldn’t possibly be broken by cultivators alone. "Out of control? You are the Originators? You can’t even control your own strength?" Pei Yan interjected, puzzled.

Lin Ruxue shook her head and explained: "Yes, we found that the abilities we brought into this world would soon be swallowed up and dissipated. Initially, we didn’t mind, thinking it was due to the thin Spiritual Qi of this world. We believed that as long as we could produce enough origins, we could dominate this world and gradually assimilate it into our own plane. However, as we continued to pour our origins into this world, a terrible thing happened. Our power was devoured like a bottomless pit, and eventually, the extracted energy far exceeded what we could produce, even requiring us to draw upon our own plane’s energy to compensate."

At this point, Lin Ruxue reclined against the cushion behind her with a stretch: "By the ti we realized the anomaly, it was too late. Therefore, we have fostered our own spokespersons in our plane, such as the Immortal Palace of the Daoist Plane, and the three great guilds of the Magic Plane. While endowing them with supre abilities, they also bear the responsibility of maintaining the safety of the space barriers, and the rest of the story you already know."

"Oh!!" After listening to Lin Ruxue’s recounting of the ancient tales from various planes, Pei Yan exhaled a long sigh, nodding his head, though his heart still held doubts. He was just about to inquire further, but Lin Ruxue interrupted him, saying: "Don’t bla the people of the Immortal Palace for being selfish, arrogant, and unwilling to communicate with you. This was the rule we set initially; the psychological shadow from the first plane invasion was too great for us. Only by reducing the contact frequency with the Daoist Plane could we better control the developnt of the situation. This was our original idea, and after so many years, it has beco an immutable principle. Their pride and stubbornness are understandable for a ti, but now the situation has changed. I, along with other plane origins, have issued orders for them to fully assist you, to safeguard peace across the planes."

While speaking, Lin Ruxue’s gaze, intentionally or unintentionally, fell on the person sitting aside. Following her gaze, Pei Yan saw Cen Xiaoran leisurely eating scoops of waterlon. He realized that the conversation Lin Ruxue just had wasn’t directed at him, but at the old chief seated there. He couldn’t fathom how this elderly man, at his advanced age, still had such a hearty appetite; a whole bottle of pear soda, two mangoes, and half a waterlon devoured in such a short ti. Didn’t he fear an upset stomach later tonight?

Thinking about this, he shook his head helplessly and turned back to Lin Ruxue, asking: "What you ntioned is indeed confidential, but how does it relate to the origin bodies of this world? How did your relationship with them deteriorate?"

Whether Lin Ruxue felt hungry watching Cen Xiaoran eat or not, she clapped her hands, and four exotic ladies dressed in Western attire, with graceful postures and provocative clothing, appeared out of nowhere. Each held a fruit platter. Two of them walked over to Lin Ruxue, picking up pieces of waterlon from the platter with toothpicks and jovially offering them to her mouth.

anwhile, the other two approached Pei Yan, bowed gracefully, and knelt beside him on either side. One picked up a grape from the tray and offered it to Pei Yan’s mouth.

"Oh my, life can be so decadent? Wow! Being an origin body truly ans wishing for whatever cos to mind!" Pei Yan thought enviously, chewing the grape given by the alluring exotic beauty.

"Don’t rush; let explain slowly," Lin Ruxue said. "After that, I and the origin bodies of the other planes spontaneously fell into slumber. By the ti we awakened, the world had already changed beyond recognition. Fortunately, the system we left behind still functioned perfectly. After I inspected the solidness of my own plane’s space barriers, out of curiosity, I visited your world again. But this ti, I chose a more cautious approach, not only compressing my power to minimize its impact on the plane but also selecting a physical body from this world as my vessel to move around.
