Shitang Longsi looked angrily at the body that was split in half in the sky. Although he hadn’t expected this strike to be a fatal blow, he hadn’t anticipated that it wouldn’t even scratch the opponent’s skin. Just as he leaped into the air, a chanical Pei Yan clone simultaneously soared up, intercepting his blade and getting split in two.
All this happened within an extrely short ti fra. As the chanical clone was cleaved apart, the real Pei Yan was still descending, narrowly brushing past Shitang Longsi who was mid-swing. Shitang Longsi turned his head to look at Pei Yan, preparing to slash horizontally, but unexpectedly Pei Yan’s chanical Eye emitted a blinding red light that shone directly into his left eye.
"Ah!" Shitang Longsi let out a miserable cry, his form unstable, falling down alongside Pei Yan. As soon as he landed, he leaped backward several tis until he determined it was safe, then wiped his sore left eye with his sleeve. His eye socket was already filled with tears, obstructing his vision. Although the intense light wouldn’t cause total blindness, recovering his sight soon was unlikely.
Slightly squinting his left eye, Shitang Longsi gripped the long knife and leaped up from the ground, glaring coldly at Pei Yan, who had just escaped his restraints. With the long knife swaying and his form oscillating, he charged again, clashing once more. This ti, Shitang Longsi intentionally avoided Pei Yan’s eyes, lowering his head and coldly scoffing, "Is this desperation? Only using such petty tricks to stall for ti! This ti, I won’t give you a chance to retaliate!"
Learning from last ti’s lesson, Shitang Longsi fully realized that he must not distance himself from the opponent. Only close-range, fast-combat could give him an advantage. Fast! Faster! It must be quicker than before! It’s ti to show the results of his recent training.
Outside the battlefield, endless soil samurais engaged in a deadly battle with Pei Yan’s chanical clones, while at the center, two figures were enveloped by a blue lightning glow. Their rapid exchanges made it difficult to discern their actual moves, only seeing two shadows constantly flickering at the spot. The whole sequence lasted less than five minutes.
Within these five minutes, Shitang Longsi grew increasingly alard. Previously, when he dueled Pei Yan in this state, Pei Yan could barely withstand his moves. But now, Pei Yan was seamlessly and effortlessly executing fluid actions. Each of Shitang Longsi’s strikes seed predicted and intercepted at the most appropriate monts. Pei Yan achieved flawless defense without even using a shield.
How is this possible? There’s no way he’s better than ! Shitang Longsi couldn’t see Pei Yan’s expression behind the mask, but he must be nearing his limit, right? That must be it! He’s barely hanging on. If I keep attacking, his defense will surely falter, just as it did during our first confrontation.
Thinking this, he threw the long knife and retreated, lightly brushing his left hand over a ring as a pill fell into his palm before he swiftly tossed it into his mouth, sidestepping Pei Yan’s attack and snatching back the falling long knife, slicing it along Pei Yan’s neck.
The collision of long knives produced an ear-splitting tallic screech, with Shitang Longsi’s attack thwarted once more. But this ti, he didn’t plan to change up and attack again. Having consud a pill to forcibly enhance his strength while his energy was intact, he readied himself for a desperate final assault. The pill’s effect began acting imdiately after ingestion, releasing his full combat prowess at double intensity.
"Ah!" The might overpowers skill! Shitang Longsi roared, pressing the long knife toward Pei Yan’s neck.
"Humph!"
A clear, cold snort pierced Shitang Longsi’s ears, the disdain in Pei Yan’s voice and the gust made him fuming with fury. His face, already flushed red, turned a livid color as his force increased threefold! Laugh at , will you? This will cost you your life!
Bang! The roar of an engine sounded, and with a clang, the long knife in Shitang Longsi’s hand was knocked aside far away. His form retreated, leaving his front wide open as Pei Yan raised his left hand, a blue flash signaled an electromagnetic cannon rcilessly blasting through his chest.
Pei Yan watched the slowly crumpling Shitang Longsi with a blank expression. These tricks had beco all too familiar to him, and now he had no desire to care about Shitang Longsi’s petty maneuvers. Using data transmitted back from chanical clones flying in the sky, he maintained oversight over the entire battle.
The forr senior entertainnt center was now unrecognizable, having been razed to the ground in such a brief ti. Towering icebergs reached the sky, explosions echoing from their peaks, with shattered ice pillars occasionally slipping down, utilizing amplification devices for impact, Pei Yan saw Sumr Yu in a heated lee with Bals.
Overall, the investigation office currently remained at a disadvantage. Zhao Yuanhu was still purging toxins from his system, forcing Zheng Jia Ru to shoulder her responsibilities by facing two foes alone. Short-term issues were manageable but prolonged engagent could lead to troubles.
"While battling , your mind still wanders?" Shitang Longsi’s voice exploded near Pei Yan’s ear, as Pei Yan slightly raised his arm to fend off the attack with ease.
Enraged, Shitang Longsi was completely provoked. A previously struggling supernatural fighter reliant on deceit to barely win, now engaged him effortlessly. The colossal transformation over the re two months was hard for him to accept.
Yet his mind retained relative calm and restraint, a product of long training. He could only redirect his rage into the force behind his attacks, launching an all-out offensive at any cost. This mont felt like him reaching the zenith of his swordsmanship.
In his eyes, the blade in his hand and Pei Yan’s surrounding scene continued to fade, entering a state of oblivion, stabbing Pei Yan’s vital spots with incomprehensible angles using his left hand.
Ti stretched infinitely at this mont, unsure how much ti elapsed or how many strikes made. Viscous blood slowly trickled from his nostrils and mouth, a side effect of consuming drugs, only two months since the last ti he forced the pills. Such brief intervals between two high-impact drug uses led his body near collapse. But he didn’t care, only desiring Pei Yan’s death.
Bam! With the clear sound of tal shattering, Shitang Longsi’s attack finally ceased. Staring at the shattered long knife and fragnts on the ground, he remained speechless for a long ti, suddenly raising his head, glaring at Pei Yan, and roaring loudly, "Why?"
"What do you an, why?" Pei Yan shook the long knife in his hand and questioned.
"Ti! Ti! How can you manage within such a short ti...." Before Shitang Longsi could finish his sentence, a long knife pierced through his chest from behind.
