"After all, he is my brother. Mr. Shitang, is this how you treat a host who graciously welcos you in the Foundation Plane? It seems that not only is your energy scarce there, but even your civilization is a backward and barbaric race!" As Raphael spoke, a cold light flashed in his eyes, and the hall door was pushed open. A large number of guards sward in, instantly filling half the banquet hall.
"Hmph, hehehehe! Hahaha!" Pei Yan lowered his head, first letting out a cold snort, then laughing in anger. Under everyone’s gaze, he walked back to his seat while laughing, picked up a piece of fruit from the table, and held it in front of Raphael, laughing, "Oh my, today I’ve truly seen what it ans for a villain to complain first. Gracious hospitality, you even believed your own act. I thought you wouldn’t ss with the food, but you did. There’s poison in this fruit, isn’t it?" With that, Pei Yan casually tossed the fruit into his mouth, "Too bad, it’s useless against ! And the array you’ve set up in this banquet hall, it’s to imprison one’s essence, right? Why not activate it and see what happens?"
Looking at Raphael’s ashen face, Pei Yan sneered, "It’s because you can’t activate it!" With that, he snapped his fingers. Following a muffled sound from underground, the entire restaurant trembled violently, candles inside the chandelier flickered with the vibration, wall decorations fell amidst clattering noises, tableware shifted, and everyone stumbled as they got up from their seats.
"Listen, I’m here for reconnaissance and also to train myself, but I’m not here to rescue you! Whether you do well in the Hell Plane doesn’t concern . You understand the principle of lips and teeth depending on each other, but whether you’re sensible or not matters! If you’re eyeing my stuff, let’s see if you have the capability. To , you’re just a bunch of cowards hiding in a turtle’s shell. With what do you think you can negotiate with ? Whether you volunteer the information or not, I’ve got ways to make you talk!"
Everyone present, including Sifuer, looked at Pei Yan with a rogue-like, murderous aura. Their faces trembled slightly with anger. His words targeted not only Raphael but dragged everyone present into it. Before today, Sifuer had imagined countless outcos of this confrontation, but she never expected that this seemingly chance encounter with a man would lead to him tearing off the facade and openly challenging everyone while outnumbered and heavily surrounded.
"So there’s no room for negotiation. Originally, if you obediently hand over what I want..."
Before Raphael could finish, Pei Yan flicked his cigar at Casro, who was lying on the ground, trembling slightly, trying to get up. Instantly, the surrounding area was ignited, and with a bang, Casro was turned into a burning figure before even a wail could escape. Pei Yan stepped forward, conjured a long knife, and with one slash, decapitated the burning head, flicking it onto the table.
"So much damn nonsense!"
There were no words left to say. Raphael, eyes flushed with rage, shouted furiously, and the surrounding guards sward towards Pei Yan, while Sifuer and others, including Bailang, desperately retreated from the scene.
Transforming into a bolt of lightning, Pei Yan sidestepped a giant sword swing, using a dagger in his right hand to thrust towards his opponent’s throat. As sparks flew, he noticed a faint bloodstain from where the scale armor on the neck had been pierced. Pei Yan squinted slightly; even when not using vibration, his full-strength slash only cut a small wound. It seed these Demon Race bodies were remarkably tough.
Before he could retract his knife, three longswords slashed from different directions. Turning and slicing the swords, Pei Yan realized fighting in such a cramped space was inconvenient. Stomping his feet, his vibration power erupted, causing the ground to quake violently. Amidst the chaos, Pei Yan tore through the banquet hall’s wall, crashing outside.
Rolling onto the street with the rubble from the collapsing wall, the dust hadn’t settled before a net descended from above. Just as soone thought the dusty Pei Yan was trapped, a flash of light ensued, and his figure vanished without a trace, leaving behind a grand net that caught nothing, floating to the ground.
"Is this how you escaped from the ard one’s grasp? Spatial Magic! You’re quite the multi-talented one! Is this your capital for daring to confront , Shitang Longsi? If so, I fear you’ll be disappointed. The entire sanctuary is under my control; the space here is locked. No matter how you try to escape, you won’t break free from this space!" Raphael, who had followed Pei Yan outside, shouted from mid-air as he stared at him suspended in front of him.
"Who said I was trying to escape? If I truly wanted to escape, I wouldn’t have set foot in this town. I don’t like being sched against, nor do I appreciate being endlessly coveted. I’m here to solve problems, and killing you will solve everything!" Pei Yan shrugged indifferently.
At the peak of his anger, Raphael, as if hearing a hilarious joke, contorted his face into a sneer and said, "It seems our Demon Race is indeed underestimated. You eliminate a group of the lowest-ranked Disaster Legion soldiers, we praised you a bit, and you’ve really thought yourself invincible! You’re nothing but a clown from the energy-desolate land, showing off under the Red Disaster, but you’ll soon pay the price for your arrogance and ignorance!" As Raphael spoke, he waved his hand, sending people levitating from the ground into the sky, hovering behind him.
Pei Yan looked coldly at Raphael, whose expression grew increasingly grim and mad. With disdain, he raised his hand to shut him up with an attack, but as soon as his hand was halfway up, it froze. To his shock, he couldn’t move, as though petrified.
"Panicking, aren’t you? Ah! Where did that arrogant montum go? Let see your cards, Spatial Magic? Oh, and even poison gas magic. Sadly, these are useless against us. We aren’t the low-intelligence, grub-like Disaster Legion; long periods of breath-holding are no challenge to us. If it weren’t for Casro losing his head in anger, you’d never have had the chance to hurt him!" As Raphael spoke, hundreds of people gathered behind him, forming a triangular array with him at the center. Feeling the continuous flow of energy channeled into him, Raphael lazily glanced at Pei Yan and barked, "I’ll give you one last chance: hand over all your Steel Puppets! Cut off one of your limbs as atonent, and I’ll spare your life so you can take the information back."
"Look, my left eye is already blind, and one of my arms is chanical. I really don’t want to lose any more body parts, so it’s better if you just die, dumbass!" Saying this, Pei Yan raised his middle finger at Raphael while resisting the control.
