As he organized these thoughts, preparing to retort, a soft cough was heard.
The originally noisy eting hall beca instantly silent upon hearing this soft cough, the previously tense two opposing factions in the Demon Race promptly returned to their seats, including Kane, who looked towards the center of the venue.
On that luxurious, intricately crafted large throne, sat an elder whose ragged clothes and hunched figure seed mismatched to the chair's aura — the cough ca from him. Although the elder looked sorry, none of the clan leaders dared to underestimate him.
The reason was simple: Since the Demon God retreated to the Holy City with the army, the main figure never displayed himself before the clan leaders. The elder sighed, his face carrying a displeasure and frustration, "Unable to discern the urgency of matters, all you do is fight over power and profits here. Such debates are useless for resolving the situation — regardless of what this incident signifies behind the scenes, the imdiate task is to resolve the issue of the Star Lord's capture."
