Suhabaru paid no attention to the wounds on his body; instead, he tilted his head back and opened his mouth wide, wildly gulping the rainwater falling from the sky, which seed to be transford from strong liquor. He appeared quite satisfied, neglecting his battle with Tao Yuanweng, stretched out his hand to gather the source energy, concentrating the rainwater around him into a sphere, and passionately drank from it.
"This is the first ti I've seen soone as reckless as you, drinking the enemy's liquor! Aren't you afraid of hidden sches!" Tao Yuanweng sneered and mocked as he spoke, while Suhabaru in the arena remained expressionless, completely ignoring it. The fierce blows, coupled with the scorching high temperature, imdiately pumled and scorched Suhabaru's newly grown thick hair, half of his body ignited by the flas, sizzling, filling the arena with the pungent sll of burnt flesh.
"Awooo!" A grim wolf howl erupted as Suhabaru finally seed to regain his senses. Roaring, he propped his hands on the ground, trying to throw off Tao Yuanweng who was riding on him. Tao Yuanweng wouldn't let him succeed, pointing his finger upward, causing the falling liquor to rapidly gather around him. With the liquor infusion, Tao Yuanweng's body expanded again, suppressing Suhabaru back down with force.
During this pressing up and down struggle, the two pulled back and forth several tis, but ultimately Tao Yuanweng lost in strength to the opponent and was unsteadily thrown to the ground. The rising Suhabaru roared and turned to grab Tao Yuanweng. Seeing this, Tao Yuanweng jumped up and attacked with a punch, the two entangled once again.
The fight had grown so intense that the small courtyard couldn't contain their expanded forms. Fortunately, when Pei Yan had subdued Li Songtao, the lower-level disciples of the Immortal Palace arrived, wielding Immortal Palace Tokens to start evacuating the nearby populace. By now, the evacuation was complete, and empty residences surrounded them. The two combatants broke through the walls, expanding the battleground several tis over.
Unlike Suhabaru, who fought purely on instinct, even with his heightened figure, Tao Yuanweng maintained nimble body technique. Like the fire monkey he had ford, his moves carried a few hints of the monkey's agility as he darted left and right, swirling around Suhabaru, attacking him in a way that left Suhabaru only able to defend, with no power to retaliate.
While appreciating the brilliance of Tao Yuanweng's monkey fists, Pei Yan focused more on Suhabaru. Despite how he seed to fall behind, careful observation would reveal that Tao Yuanweng's moves hadn't inflicted fatal harm. Each singed and wounded spot healed nearly completely within ten or so seconds after Tao Yuanweng lifted his hand away. Monts later, the werewolf's thick hair grew anew.
"Rapid self-healing?" Pei Yan witnessed this and furrowed his brow, first glancing at Elder Lin, then exchanging looks with Xia Yu and Zhao Yuanhu. He looked at Elder Lin because of their similar self-healing abilities, while exchanging glances with Xia and Zhao as they simultaneously rembered the sa person.
Bals, the disciple of Suhabaru before them, possessed similarly rapid self-healing abilities upon engaging in combat. Following the interrogation of Du Guangyuan and him afterwards, it was initially determined that this was an outco of a collaboration between several realms masterminded by divine will. Now, Suhabaru's current werewolf form and its potential made Pei Yan involuntarily connect the two.
Clearly aware of this issue, Tao Yuanweng in the arena stalled over his prolonged inability to subdue Suhabaru, knowing that continuing the grappling would only backfire on him. Resolutely, after fending off the opponent's attack with a punch, he soared into the sky.
Suspended mid-air, Tao Yuanweng pointed into the void, summoning the wine gourd that once disappeared into the horizon back into view. With a crisp "bang," the wine gourd was blasted apart upon impact, the effusing liquor and fragnts of the gourd's body instantaneously transford into a cluster of intense flas. The scorching heat and emitted light not only matched but exceeded the flas Pei Yan had unleashed before when breaking Li Songtao's icy blockade. Under Tao Yuanweng's control, the flas continuously condensed, left and right kneading until they regained the shape of the gourd. Only now, it had beco a fiery gourd imbued with terrifying energy.
Pei Yan looked up at the fiery gourd in the air, eyes revealing a covetous and envious twinkle. Understanding that this was akin to Li Songtao's icy mountain, the harm it inflicted not only acted upon the flesh.
