Amidst the expectant gaze of Pei Yan and the mocking laughter of the crowd, Jessica tremblingly placed her hand on the sword hilt. Perhaps the cold longsword granted her the imnse courage to dispel her inner fear. At the mont her palm touched the hilt, her body was no longer trembling as violently, and using the sword as leverage, she quickly stood up.

"What are you trying to do! Jessica, calm down! Yes, yes, I, I, I may have done so things that hurt you, but you have to think it over. Without my assistance all these years, you and your bedridden mother would not have survived!" Marisello, watching Jessica approaching him step by step with the sword in hand, truly felt the fear of death. He wasn't afraid of this weak girl who had been ravaged, but rather of Pei Yan behind her, and even more so of the Demon God's recent declaration, which had effectively sentenced him to death. The Demon God wanted to use him, a minor noble, to win over a new favored "son"!

"Ah, ah, ah! Don't say that my least favorite thing is owing people favors!" Saying this, Pei Yan touched his storage ring, then looked sowhat awkwardly at Old Samikina beside him and smiled wryly, "Look! Sir, as the Prince Silver Wing, I don't even have a single gold coin on . Sifuer did give so before, but I spent it all on local specialties for my friends."

"Hahahaha!" Facing Pei Yan's respect as a junior, Old Samikina laughed heartily and waved his hand, "No problem, with the friendship between our two families, today the Prince should feel free to ask for anything. All expenses will be on my account."

"How embarrassing! Then I'll shalessly make a request." Saying so, Pei Yan turned to Marisello and said, "Now switching to gold coins for your expenses would be useless to you! How about this: after you die, I will prepare the finest coffin for you! Is that okay?"

"Of course, it is. Rest assured, Prince, I will find the best craftsman in the city to make him the most luxurious coffin. This is the prince's intention, and we will certainly fulfill it." Old Samikina t Pei Yan's inquiring gaze with a smile and promised.

"Ah! That's good! Did you hear that? The most luxurious coffin, enough to repay what you owe Jessica!" After speaking, Pei Yan crossed his arms on his knees, leaned back steadily against the chair, and expectedly awaited the unfolding performance.

Upon hearing this, Marisello's heart turned to ashes. He continued backing away, hiding behind a guard, and shouted angrily, "What are you standing there for! Don't you see a commoner in the Holy Hall with a weapon, chasing a noble! Stop her! Stop her now!"

The guards weren't foolish; they had witnessed everything today. Naturally, they wouldn't stick their necks out for a fallen noble abandoned by the Demon God. They shrugged off Marisello's pulling and retreated to the sides, clearing a path for Jessica.

Seeing it was hopeless to find soone to stand up for him, the thoroughly desperate Marisello drew a longsword from a guard's waist, holding it out as he made his last stand, shouting hysterically, "Don't co any closer! Jessica, you should know you are no match for , give up! If you give up and plead with the prince to spare , I am willing to compensate you with all my family assets as an apology!"

Jessica halted at his words, not enticed by the monetary transaction Marisello proposed, but wary of his strength. There was no diocrity among the demon nobles, and Marisello was an elite among the higher-lower demon race. If it ca to a real fight, soone like her, a lower-level demon, could hardly be his match.

"Aye!" Pei Yan sighed heavily, frustrated and impatient, "Can you finish this quickly? Are you tempted by his money? Hehehe, if so, that's fine as long as you think it's worthwhile. If not, hurry up and end him. My patience with you is running out!"

Hearing Pei Yan urging her, Jessica recalled the inhuman tortures she had suffered over the years. Her grip on the sword tightened as she summoned the courage to scream, raising the longsword and charging toward Marisello.

"This is your own doing! Your death will put an end to everything!" Marisello, knowing he was dood, harbored hatred toward Jessica and Pei Yan. He decided that if he were to die, he would drag this lowly woman down with him.

"Fool!" Old Samikina smirked disdainfully. If this fool had accepted his punishnt and t death peacefully, and if I then said a few good words to cover up the matter, extracting so benefits from the erging nobility afterward, his family might have been preserved. Now, he insisted on opposing Pei Yan, who intended to use this incident as a warning after entering the city. Given Pei Yan's notorious vengeful nature, his family is dood.

Sure enough, after seeing his actions, a proud smile spread across Pei Yan's face. He feigned sadness, lightly tapped his finger, and said, "See, what did I say? As a prince, what authority do I have here in this hall in the eyes of the demon race? Even when the Demon God speaks directly, there's soone who dares to draw a sword against the person carrying out my orders. Do you dismiss the Demon God's command, or do you think Pei Yan can't pick up a knife to shed blood anymore?"

As soon as these words were spoken, a crack appeared behind Marisello, and four energy threads shot out from the chanical avatar Pei San's hand. One energy thread easily severed Marisello's sword-wielding arm, while the remaining three penetrated through his remaining limbs, pinning them to the ground.

Marisello scread in agony from the sudden attack. As he attempted a fog-like escape, he unexpectedly t Pei Yan's eerie eyes. As Pei Yan's right eye slowly turned, Marisello felt the energy in his body stagnate. His fog-forming attempt was abruptly forced back, and simultaneously, Jessica's wildly swinging longsword sliced toward him.

"Ah!" Another wail pierced the air. Marisello, devoid of energy support, instinctively raised his arm to block the blade, leaving a long bloody gash on his arm. With a severed arm and injured leg, Marisello crawled and scrambled towards the hall's entrance.

One was a fugitive with locked energies and remaining physical resilience but lacking the will to fight; the other was a tornted and frail avenger, dragging a longsword in a life-or-death chase. The two, one running and one chasing, enacted a farce on this sacred hall, a spectacle unseen for hundreds or thousands of years.

"Prince, this hall has seen blood and conspiracy before; it's said that the floor tiles here are steeped in blood." Old Samikina pointed to the entrance of the council chamber nearby and smiled, "Do you see that hall? The Patriarchs of the families that offended you were executed right there. Everyone here is accustod to slaughter, but such an amusing scene is indeed a first."
