"Try to look for it," Iris Yates said.

Chloe Reed agreed. "Okay."

Iris Yates continued, "Also, you told before that your grandmother had a pair of sapphire earrings that went missing during so turmoil years ago. She’s always wanted to find them. I’ve been keeping an eye on the major auction houses and recently found a similar pair. I’ll send you a photo; see if they’re your grandmother’s."

Chloe Reed looked at the information. The auction was in three days. The money from selling her wedding ring had just co through. Combined with the money she had gotten from Charles Reed and Walker Grant, it should be enough to bid for the earrings.

After getting ho from work, she quickly tidied up and went out, contacting Miles Hawthorne.

Sitting in the restaurant, Miles Hawthorne looked at her with surprise. "Didn’t you decide not to get divorced for now?"

Chloe Reed said, "Things have changed again. I’ve realized that filing a lawsuit directly is more effective. Do you have ti now? If not, I’ll figure sothing else out."

Miles Hawthorne smiled. "I do. I’ll handle the filing process. Just wait for my update."

Chloe Reed gave him a small smile. "Thank you, Miles."

But Miles Hawthorne said, "Don’t be so formal. Aren’t we friends? Besides, I don’t want to see you trapped in a marriage that’s draining the life out of you."

Chloe Reed sounded a bit helpless. "That’s a terrifying way to put it."

"Loving soone is like tending a flower. And it’s obvious you’re about to wilt," Miles Hawthorne said, gazing at her earnestly.

Chloe Reed touched her face, then took out a mirror to look.

Seeing this, Miles Hawthorne couldn’t help but chuckle. "I’m talking about your spirit, the light in your eyes, not your skin."

Chloe Reed replied, "Well, that’s a relief. I’m still beautiful."

Unexpectedly, Sunny Reed was also there.

She was out for dinner with Noah. Seeing Walker, she called out, "Walker, are you here by yourself? Want to eat with us?"

Noah Grant had already reached his arms out to him. "Uncle, hold ."

Walker Grant’s gaze softened instantly as it fell on the boy’s face. He picked the little one up and asked, "Why are you eating so late?"

Sunny Reed said, "I got ho late, so I’m treating Noah to a big al to make up for it."

Noah Grant’s eyes sparkled. "A big al!"

Sunny Reed turned to the waiter. "A private room, please. For the three of us."

The waiter replied, "Of course."

But Walker Grant said, "We’ll eat in the main dining area."

Then, holding Noah Grant, he walked toward an empty table in the main dining area.
