"Walker, you’re awake?"

When Judith Pierce saw him open his eyes, her face imdiately lit up with joy.

"BOOHOO... Walker, you scared to death, you know that? How could you be so reckless? How could you be so careless with your own life? If sothing had really happened to you, would you have expected to just die along with you?!"

Judith Pierce leaned over Walker Grant’s chest, sobbing breathlessly.

She was truly terrified!

Walker Grant’s consciousness was still hazy. The mont he woke up, he felt soone holding his hand.

He hated the feeling of being controlled and imdiately reclaid command over his body.

But now, listening to Judith Pierce’s tearful accusations, all the strength seed to drain from Walker Grant’s body. His hand went limp, and the pen fell to the floor with a sharp CLATTER.

"Mom, I’m fine..."

He closed his eyes, his words coming out with great difficulty.

Judith Pierce, having vented her emotions, finally cald down a little. She said, "Those people weren’t after you. It had nothing to do with you. Walker, you have to divorce Chloe. I can’t let anything happen to you."

Walker Grant, however, said, "Have Dylan Finch co in."

He had woken up through sheer force of will, and his consciousness was already beginning to fade.

Judith Pierce frowned. "Walker, did you hear what I said?"

"Get Dylan Finch... The company..." It was becoming increasingly difficult for Walker Grant to speak.

Hearing this, Judith Pierce dared not delay and hurriedly called Dylan Finch in.

Dylan Finch strode in and leaned down beside Walker Grant, listening to his instructions.

A mont later, Walker Grant lapsed back into unconsciousness.

Judith Pierce quickly asked, "What did Walker tell you?"

Dylan Finch said, "He gave instructions regarding so company matters. Madam, Mr. Grant needs to rest. It would be best if you stepped out for now."

Judith Pierce thought of the still-unsigned divorce papers, and her expression darkened. "Go prepare another set of divorce papers."

"Yes."

Dylan Finch assented, and they left the intensive care unit together.

Chloe Reed looked at Dylan Finch and asked, "How is he?"

Dylan Finch replied, "If you’re so concerned, why don’t you go in and see for yourself?"

Chloe Reed: "..."

Seeing her silence, Dylan Finch added, "Mr. Grant was injured because of you, Mrs. Grant. After eight years together, surely you’re not so heartless that you won’t even go see him?"

’He made it sound like I’m so kind of ungrateful wretch.’

Chloe Reed felt a surge of anger but had no way to vent it. She simply frowned and stared at him.

Realizing he’d said too much, Dylan Finch hastily turned and walked away.

Judith Pierce shot Chloe Reed a conflicted glance, a bitter feeling welling up inside her.

Now that she was calr, she finally understood why Walker Grant had suddenly woken up.

’He didn’t want to sign the divorce papers!’

’If that’s the case, then why was he so good to Sunny Reed?’

Judith Pierce couldn’t make sense of it and was overco with a sense of helplessness.

Dylan Finch returned quickly, but he wasn’t carrying any docunts. Instead, he was accompanied by several bodyguards.

"What is the aning of this?" Judith Pierce demanded, her face grim.

Dylan Finch said, "Mr. Grant’s orders. Until he has fully regained consciousness, no one is to approach his hospital room."

Judith Pierce’s eyes widened in shock. ’So, my son lied to just now?’

’The nerve of him!’

Dylan Finch motioned for the bodyguards to enter, his expression stern.

He turned to Judith Pierce and said, "Madam, it’s getting late. You should head back and get so rest. I will notify you the mont Mr. Grant is out of danger."

Judith Pierce snorted. "A fine special assistant you are!"

Dylan Finch smiled. "You flatter , Madam. I’m just doing my job."
