Chloe Reed soon returned from her checkup. The results ca back normal, showing nothing was wrong with her.

Back in the hospital room, her expression was tinged with fatigue.

Walker Grant’s gaze fell on her face. "Did you take a cold shower?" he asked.

Chloe Reed looked at him, surprised. "How did you know?"

Walker Grant said calmly, "You didn’t co to , so you must have taken a cold shower."

"Hah..." Chloe Reed scoffed. "You’re so confident. Just because I didn’t co to you, does that an I couldn’t have found soone else?"

"You wouldn’t," Walker Grant said with absolute certainty. "You think other n are dirty."

Chloe Reed looked him up and down. "You’re dirty, too."

"I’m not dirty."

Walker Grant’s expression was unusually serious. "You’re the only woman I’ve ever been with."

But Chloe Reed’s face was a mask of disbelief. She waved a hand dismissively. "It doesn’t matter."

"How can it not matter?!" Walker Grant grew insistent. "I’ve never touched another woman. You, on the other hand, were the one who kept sending won to ."

He looked up, his gaze dark and intense. "Chloe Reed, you can’t falsely accuse of this."

Walker Grant’s lips pressed into a thin, hard line. An icy chill seed to emanate from him, and his handso eyes were unreadable as he stared at her.

A sudden silence fell over the room. Chloe Reed pulled out her phone and started playing a ga.

Over the sound of the ga’s background music, his voice broke the silence. "I’m sorry."

Chloe Reed’s fingers froze. She looked up at him. "So you really did sleep with her?"
