Chloe Reed frowned slightly. She instinctively glanced back at William Quinn and whispered, "Aren’t we going to continue the discussion?"
"His intentions aren’t pure. What is there to discuss?" Walker Grant’s tone grew colder. "Let’s eat first."
Recalling William Quinn’s deranged behavior, Chloe Reed felt a flicker of fear and nodded. "Okay."
The two of them left the private room imdiately.
Nathaniel Monroe, who had been trying to keep a low profile, saw this and also stood up to leave.
"Hey, wait a minute."
But William Quinn stopped him.
Nathaniel Monroe looked at him in confusion. "Mr. Quinn, is there anything else?"
William Quinn looked at him and asked, "Are all the won from Country A like that?"
Nathaniel Monroe rembered the things Quinn had just said to Chloe and couldn’t help but wonder, ’Has he not t many won from Country A? Is that why he’s acting this way?’
He imdiately said, "Mr. Quinn, is this your first visit? Our country has a lot of fun places to see. Since you’ve co all this way, how about I arrange for you to see the sights? The local tour guides are excellent."
William Quinn nodded. "Yes, that sounds wonderful."
’She was from this country.’
’But she never made it back before she died.’
’She had a timid nature and would always cling to him, telling him stories about this country.’
’Now that he was here, he wanted to see for himself what it was about this place that she had been so fond of.’
’Even right before she died, she kept murmuring that her soul would surely return.’
Nathaniel Monroe imdiately started making arrangents. He was about to suggest sothing for that evening, but then he glanced at William Quinn’s broken finger and said, "Mr. Quinn, perhaps we should go to the hospital to get that bandaged first?"
"Of course."
William Quinn was surprisingly agreeable, smiling pleasantly. His blue eyes were quite handso.
Nathaniel Monroe said, "Alright, I’ll take you to the hospital. Please, co with ."
"Very well."
William Quinn followed him out of the private room.
To their surprise, when they entered the elevator, Iris Yates was already inside.
Upon seeing her, Nathaniel Monroe raised an eyebrow. "What are you doing here?"
Standing in the corner, Iris Yates scoffed. "None of your business."
Nathaniel Monroe pressed the button for their floor. As the doors slid slowly shut, the space felt more confined.
"Don’t tell you’re on another blind date. Here? This late at night?"
"It’s none of your damn business!" Iris Yates shot him a dirty look. ’My luck is just the worst. It was bad enough eting another weirdo on a blind date, but now I have to run into this pest.’
’In her eyes, Nathaniel Monroe and Walker Grant were two peas in a pod—and neither of them was any good!’
Unoffended, Nathaniel Monroe chuckled. "Why don’t you just marry ? It would save your family the trouble of arranging these dates, and my family is nagging to get married too. We could just make do with each other."
Iris Yates thought she was hearing things. "Are you dreaming?!"
Nathaniel Monroe reached out and casually ruffled her hair. "I’m just making a suggestion. I’m serious. Think about it and co find whenever you’re ready."
"You’re nuts! Get away from !"
The mont the elevator doors opened, Iris Yates stord out. His flippant attitude felt like he was mocking her. ’That man is insufferable!’
As the elevator doors slowly closed, William Quinn suddenly asked, "Is she your girlfriend?"
Nathaniel Monroe shook his head. "No, she’s not."
A flicker of excitent appeared in William Quinn’s eyes. "She seems very cute."
Hearing this, Nathaniel Monroe’s eyelid twitched. ’I’d better find so pretty girls for this lunatic, and fast,’ he thought. ’What if he sets his sights on Iris?’
