"Heh..." Chloe Reed let out a harsh, cold laugh. "It’s all over our social circle. I’ve been laughed at more tis than I can count. You think I still care?"
At her words, Walker Grant’s brow furrowed. "What are they saying?"
The smile on Chloe Reed’s face slowly faded. She tried to push him away, but he only held her tighter. "Your business with your sister-in-law—you think that’s still a secret? Walker Grant, you dragged my reputation through the mud for everyone to stomp on, and now you’re telling you don’t know?"
Walker Grant’s sharp brows drew even tighter, his expression turning serious. "I really didn’t know. I’ll have soone look into it. They’re all spouting nonsense. You won’t hear anything like it again."
Chloe Reed suddenly felt it was all pointless. ’He can shut their mouths, but their eyes are wide open. They can see what’s right and wrong as clear as day.’
’They can all see how well he treats Sunny Reed.’

Chloe Reed said, "Send the money. Otherwise, I’ll broadcast your little affair to the world. You can shut their mouths, but you can’t shut mine."
Walker Grant was speechless.
A wave of frustration washed over him. Looking at her cold expression, he reluctantly conceded, "Fine."
Chloe Reed felt a little more satisfied. "Let go," she said imdiately. "I’m going to get sothing to eat."
"I’ll go with you."
Walker Grant still didn’t let go, keeping his arm around her as they walked.
Everyone who passed by saw them.
Before long, Chloe Reed understood his intentions.

To her satisfaction, a notification for a ten-million-dollar transfer appeared on her phone. Chloe Reed’s mood brightened a little.
「Night gradually fell, and lights flickered on inside and outside the villa.」
Noah Grant, dressed in a small festive outfit, walked beside Sunny Reed, watching the vibrant fireworks light up the sky.

Unable to stand it, she headed upstairs to change.
When she ca out in a fresh change of clothes, she saw several children horsing around, Noah Grant among them. She paid them no mind and headed straight for the stairs.
But one of the rowdy children ran to the top of the stairs. Chloe Reed frowned and snapped, "Don’t play here."
The children glanced at her but paid her no heed, continuing their chase.
"Auntie..."
Noah Grant ran over just then, trying to hide behind her.
But Chloe Reed was in no mood to play along and started straight down the stairs.
But unexpectedly, just as she took her first step down, Noah Grant’s small body tumbled past her and down the stairs.
"AHH!"
Soone who saw it imdiately let out a piercing scream.
Soone managed to catch Noah Grant at the bottom, but he was still injured and had passed out.
The scene instantly descended into chaos.
A pale-faced maid spoke up, "I... I saw her kick Noah."
