"What are you doing? Let go!"
Chloe Reed was shocked. She struggled, pushing against his chest with both hands, trying to keep him away.
Walker Grant reeked of alcohol. He pinned her down, his entire body pressing down, flush against hers.
His hot breath fanned across her ear.
"Who did you go see at Blue Night?"
His voice was low and hoarse. As his breath fanned across her ear, a tingling numbness spread from that spot throughout her entire body.
"What are you talking about? I don’t understand. Let go." Chloe’s voice trembled, scalded by his breath.
’She hated herself for it.’
’She had resolved to let him go, yet here she was, succumbing to his presence.’
’They were so familiar with each other’s bodies.’
’The slightest closeness was enough to trigger the most primal reactions.’
’The attraction was fatal.’
’And the hardest addiction to break.’
’That was why she had been resisting any contact with him.’
But not only did he not let go, he pressed even closer, his thin lips already kissing her ear.
"Chloe, who did you go see? Tell . Why were you smiling at him? What were you two talking about so happily?"
’Chloe had no idea what he was talking about! He was talking as if *she* were the one who had cheated! But he was clearly the one who had been unfaithful!’
Chloe Reed turned her head away. "I don’t know what you’re talking about. You’re drunk. Let go."
Her fair, slender neck was now exposed before his eyes.
His Adam’s apple bobbed. Her coldness was suffocating him; he wanted her to be passionate, just like before.
He lowered his head and kissed her neck.
He lingered on her delicate skin, sucking and kissing one hickey after another onto it.
Chloe’s eyes widened slightly, and she began to struggle violently.
But he just grabbed both her wrists, pinned them behind her back, and forced her to arch her chest toward him.
He bent down slightly, his kisses growing more frantic.
"Walker Grant, let go!"
Chloe Reed’s voice was strained.
The man on her chest froze. He then looked up, the corners of his phoenix eyes red as he gazed at her. "Why are you resisting so much? Didn’t you already agree not to get a divorce? Since you agreed, doesn’t that an we’ve made up, Chloe?"
He moved on, kissing her jaw before arriving at her lips and softly kissing them.
But Chloe Reed bit him, the sharp pain jolting him to his senses.
Her eyes, dark and clear, were shimring with unshed tears, but her gaze was icy as she looked at him. "You’re truly shaless!"
’He knew the conditions for the divorce, yet he still ca on to her! Was he planning to just make do with her until he found a suitable replacent? What did he take her for?!’
A frosty look settled over Walker Grant’s features. Seeing the distinct chill in her eyes, the very air around him grew heavy.
"I’m shaless?" he said in a low voice, then quirked his lips into a smirk. "We’re not divorced yet. We’re a legally married couple. What’s so shaless about doing things a husband and wife should be doing?"
He suddenly swept her up into his arms, bridal style, and strode toward the bedroom.
Chloe Reed was frightened by the savage aura coming off him and imdiately began to struggle. "Let go! Put down! Walker Grant, even if we’re husband and wife, you can’t touch without my consent!"
Walker Grant tossed her onto the bed, his tall fra pressing down. "Have I ever needed your consent before?"
He suddenly crushed his lips to hers in a ferocious kiss.
An image of her falling into another man’s arms flashed through his mind.
’He was going mad with jealousy!’
