Now reading: Chapter 774 451: Fierce Battle1 from Our Family Has Fallen, a Game novel by Incompetent and cowardly.

The Saintess of the evil cult used herself as a sacrifice, pulling them into the rift between reality and the Void. The mont the Limping Walker appeared, it utterly crushed their sanity, plunging them into madness.

The Limping Walker's tentacles, capable of tearing even the Void, reached out. It seed that in the next second, after destroying their souls, it would also grind their bodies into dust.

Just then, a figure surged forward. Before the tentacles arrived, he placed a Great Shield in front of everyone, facing the Limping Walker with unyielding resolve.

It was then that a voice finally ca through.

"Don't be afraid, stand behind ."

They had no ti to mourn their collapse. The next to arrive on the battlefield was the Lord of Hamlet—Lance!

The Limping Walker's twisted tentacles touched the Great Shield. Under the terrifying force, the Great Shield deford instantly.

The lunge Lance adopted, like a compressed spring bearing the force, was pressed even lower. The trousers covering his lower limbs strained from the exertion, and a soft tearing sound of fabric could even be heard.

If Lance had possessed the sa strength as when he last entered the Beast Lair, he probably would have been sent flying, just like when he faced the charging Pigman Knight. But after battling Warwolf for three rounds and erging as no less a Champion, he actually managed to withstand the onslaught.

Withstanding such force ca at a price. His shoulder holding the Shield, along with the supporting half of his body, grew numb and lost sensation. It felt as if his internal organs were shattered; rely breathing was like a knife twisting in his chest.

At the sa ti, a sweet tallic taste rose in his throat. Even when he tried to suppress it, it sohow triggered an even more intense sensation, and he couldn't help but spew out blood.

Battling Warwolf for three rounds hadn't even made him cough up blood, yet this casual blow from the Void Demon was so terrifying!

But the Limping Walker's attacks were far from over. The spine of its tentacle, covered in sharp hooks and blades, actually split open the Shield.

To put it in perspective, the last ti the Pigman Knight charged—an attack backed by nearly a ton of weight and concentrated into a single point by its lance—it had only dented the Shield.

Yet here, the tentacle pierced right through. As it retracted violently, it tore several gashes that nearly ripped the Shield apart.

Lance, the Shield bearer, didn't fare much better. His body had yet to recover from the previous severe injury, and there was no space to dodge.

After piercing the Shield, the sharp hooks even gouged Lance. They cut from his arm across his shoulder and back, leaving several deep, bone-exposing wounds.

Now, Lance felt it even more acutely: a sinister force seed to cling to the wounds, preventing them from healing. Blood gushed out uncontrollably, quickly staining half of his body red.

"Heh! It can't bring down... COUGH, COUGH!" Lance completely ignored his wounds. He barely managed a smile, trying to look tough, but in the next second, he coughed up blood. His coughing grew more violent, almost as if he were about to cough up his lungs.

The dripping blood added a sinister stroke to the brilliant starry sky, as if an accelerating vortex was sucking in people's souls.

But even so, he didn't move an inch. His figure remained in the stance of shouldering the Shield, firmly nailed to the spot, as if even the Void couldn't shake him. He stood firm because his teammates were behind him.

All these events unfolded in an instant. Yet, they delivered a trendous shock to Amanda and the others, montarily pulling their souls back from the brink of collapse.

Confronting a Void Demon with a human body, or trying to use ordinary tal against Supernatural Power, was laughable.

Only a madman like Lance would attempt such a thing.

In the face of this scene, any words would be pale. He had really done it.

Boudica had been the last to fall, but the pressure exerted by the twisted, deford monster was no less intense for her. Her heavy breathing hadn't stopped since their fall into the Void.

Especially after the appearance of the Limping Walker, her breath beca even more erratic.

Its tentacles were as thick as her waist; she couldn't imagine defeating this monster that road the Void.

That pressure even made her involuntarily relive that mont... That fear and helplessness…

Sotis, pure emotion is the best shield against corruption.

When she saw Lance charge forward to block the Limping Walker's strike, only to be left covered in wounds, an endless fury surged in her heart, scattering the pressure.

No!

I am no longer that coward!

This ti, I will absolutely not abandon my companions and flee!

Boudica took a deep breath. She could almost taste the blood and fear in the air. An uncontrollable rage welled up inside her. Only the blood of her enemies can wash away this disgrace!

"WAAAGH!!!"

Her adrenaline surged.

A strength arose from within her. At that mont, she forgot her fear and raised her weapon to charge at the Limping Walker.

The scene was sowhat reminiscent of Don Quixote charging at the "giants," filled with a foolish, reckless bravery.

But she advanced, unremitting, just as Lance had stepped forward monts before.

When they were pulled into the rift of the Void, Amanda imdiately sensed an endless malice around her. She recalled the fortune-telling on the carriage ride here.

And now, it had co true—a sign of great misfortune!

I should have chosen to back out from the start, instead of following them in…

The pressure that had been building throughout the journey erupted at that mont. Regret, indecision, vexation—her turmoil was indescribable.

When the Limping Walker tore through the Void and appeared, it pushed her emotions to their peak, leaving her consciousness on the brink of collapse.
