Now reading: Chapter 882 504: Cunning Imperial People (Part 2) from Our Family Has Fallen, a Game novel by Incompetent and cowardly.

After a brief mont of shock, the first reaction of the Barbarian Tribes wasn't to withdraw, but to fight. They couldn't abandon the loot they had just seized.

"Cowards! We're not going to run from a fight."

Hearing this, the Archer couldn't help but get furious, "Fools! Our advantage is in the open wilderness, not here defending loot we can't take with us."

"You're just trying to drag us down because you didn't seize anything."

"Exactly, hold the walls. They can't break in."

"I was just thinking we needed horses to pull the carts, and here they co."

"A Knight? He won't return alive!"

Seeing this, the Archer frowned, slowly retreated behind the others, and disappeared in the chaos.

These Barbarian Tribes were seasoned warriors, not like the city defense force that would flee before a fight. In truth, they weren't afraid of the Imperial People who were coming back to attack. They each picked up their weapons, ready to defend the walls.

But they largely overlooked one important detail: why were those bodies casually discarded? The people who died last night were all outside, so why were they brought back in?

They also forgot the bizarre incident that occurred during last night's raid, their minds clouded by greed.

By the ti they wanted to retaliate, the bodies scattered around the village that had long since bled dry and were covered in wounds stood up again and attacked the living without hesitation.

"Damn it!"

"Quick, find the Wizard!"

"I can't kill him!"

The Barbarian Tribes weren't afraid of the corpses and swung their weapons at them, but the problem was that these attacks could hardly kill them completely. Instead, those creatures ignored their wounds and stumbled with stiff bodies towards the Barbarian Plunderers.

One of the Barbarians swung his blade and severed a monster's head in front of him. The body fell instantly and ceased to respond, as if discovering sothing, he shouted.

"The head! Cut off their heads!"

With this reminder, the Barbarian Plunderers aid their attacks at the corpses' heads, turning them back into headless corpses.

Once these reanimated corpses could be killed again, the pressure on the Barbarian Tribes was greatly reduced. The morning light had a positive effect on them, otherwise, the situation would be even more troubleso at night.

But the approaching sound of hooves was like a death sentence, giving them no more ti.

"Hold the village gate!"

"Shooters, all get on the wall and shoot."

"The Wizard must be nearby, everyone be alert."

Though battle-hardened, the Barbarian Tribes knew their only task now was to prevent the iron hooves from breaking down the village gate to gain the upper hand.

They gathered so Barbarians to seize and block the gate.

But as the Barbarians gathered there, one of the heap of corpses suddenly swelled and exploded before they could react.

"Boom!" The grotesquely swollen corpse detonated into pieces, splattering flesh and spreading a bizarre power that instantly enveloped the nearby Barbarians.

This sound drew everyone's attention. In the midst of the bloody mist, a few figures erged.

They let out terrifying screams, dropping their weapons, and rolling on the ground in agony like prawns thrown into boiling water.

The horror lay in the fact that their exposed skin began to develop rashes that continuously spread severely.

Their entire faces began to develop unnerving boils, continuously spreading, compelling so to scratch at the festering flesh on their bodies and faces.

Blood and decaying skin and flesh mixed, as if they were about to peel their faces off, a sight so dreadful that it exerted imnse pressure upon those who witnessed it.

The Barbarian Plunderers from the larger tribes, blessed by the gods, resisted so of the damage, resulting in only mild rashes.

The Barbarians on the outskirts also suffered from the malicious curse but weren't yet festering, though it was still torturous.

Confident in their strength, these Barbarians completely forgot that among the Imperial People was a Transcendent of unknown power.

The best way to deal with a Transcendent is to kill them quickly, as the more ti they have to prepare, the stronger they grow.

With a night of preparation, a trap was set to drag these Barbarians into Hell.

Before the Barbarians could recover from the horror of the corpse explosion, the wooden village gate was ramd open, revealing that it had been sabotaged the previous night, making it impossible to defend.

If the Barbarians had seized the earthen walls and village gate earlier, they might have gained an advantage, but now they were like beasts trapped in a cage.

The Barbarians, realizing the situation was hopeless, abandoned their loot and fled, but Michelle's Personal Guard arrived just then.

"Kill!"

On one side was the trapped and demoralized Barbarians; on the other, the vengeful Personal Guard who had endured a night of rage.

The chaos defied description...

One Barbarian quickly climbed over the wall, but only took a few steps before he heard the sound of hooves. He turned his head, feeling a cold sensation on his neck, then saw his headless body still running.

No matter how fast their legs, they couldn't outrun the Cavalry hunting outside. They had missed their final chance.

On the outskirts, Gene drove Michelle's luxurious personal carriage, while Michelle lounged leisurely inside.

Seeing a similar scene again, Gene's expression showed no previous reluctance but instead, he laughed, flattering over his shoulder.

"With just a little strategy, the lord caught them all. These Barbarians truly are foolish."

After the night assault and continuous harassnt, Michelle's rage demanded the extermination of these people.

Everyone realized that the Barbarians clearly wouldn't spare them either, so they orchestrated this plan.

It was mainly managed by the Personal Guard leader, while Michelle's role was probably just to rage impotently beside them.

This second, effortlessly successful attack on the village was also credited to the Personal Guard leader's strong combat abilities, but Gene could only flatter this aberrant Michelle despite knowing the truth.

"Kekeke!"

Michelle let out an odd laugh, releasing the pent-up emotions from the previous night, feeling nothing better than this.

But just then, an arrow shot through the air and struck the carriage board with a resonant thud.

"Ah!" Gene looked at the arrow's fletching still vibrating, though knowing it wasn't aid at him, he couldn't help but exclaim.

A little closer, and the arrow would have hit him. The threat of death left his mind blank.

Michelle in the carriage was montarily stunned but quickly responded with frenzied shouting.

"Kill him for quickly!"

The two Cavalryn guarding him had no choice but to follow orders, rallying other riders to charge at the assailant.

The Archer could have simply walked away, as he had already reached the outskirts when the Personal Guard returned.

But seeing the Barbarian Plunderers being besieged, he couldn't help but take action.

This arrow wasn't an Armor-piercing Arrow, yet its force was far beyond ordinary. Seeing it fail to penetrate, he realized the carriage wasn't made of simple material. He rely wanted to test from this distance, more interested in pushing back the Personal Guard than killing.

Seeing the Cavalry charging at him, the Archer didn't even bother to move.

After breaking through the encirclent, distance beca the best weapon for the Archer.

Calmly drawing his bow, Cavalry on the outskirts fell one after another, almost all with arrows through their face or throat. Their armor provided no protection whatsoever.

From over a hundred yards, hitting moving targets without missing a single shot.

Michelle brought out twenty Cavalry this ti, and three were already shot down here.

Anyone else would be heartbroken, but he paid no heed to the Cavalry's lives, instead growing fond of the archer wielding the bow.

"That man's strength is impressive! If he surrenders, I'll spare his life."

Gene heard this and montarily had no words. Would a Barbarian obey so easily? Who do you think you are?

But it wasn't good to argue, so he shouted out as Michelle instructed.

His answer was another arrow embedded into the carriage.
