Amanda quickly t with the Totnes head she hadn't seen for a while.
"Sela! Is this your sincerity?" Amanda sat unceremoniously across from the woman, whose expression was unattractive, and her words had a noticeable bite.
"You all can leave, Amanda and I need to talk properly." Sela faced Amanda's accusations with a nonchalant smile, motioning the guards that ca in to leave. Soon it was just the two of them in the room.
Calling Amanda directly by her na, she didn't even bother adding "Ms."
Amanda was familiar with this superior-to-subordinate attitude, unsure of why Sela acted this way.
Sela, originally the Romani head in Totnes, didn't fare well the last ti she ca to Hamlet.
She wanted to step over Amanda to gain prestige, but Lance gave her no face at all, leaving her completely in a bind.
When Amanda rescued those Romani, it only made Sela look like a complete joke in comparison.
In any case, Hamlet was a place where she was made a fool, and she could have avoided coming, leaving it to her subordinates.
But she actually ca personally again, and judging by her reaction, she held no apparent resentnt, instead sowhat pride.
She could still smile for a simple reason; she made a lot of money from trading intelligence related to Hamlet last ti, gaining face within the organization.
The Romani truly are pragmatic; they don't care about face, only benefits.
Now Amanda voluntarily gave up claiming the title of Empire head. Though Sela had yet to ascend, she believed no one in the Empire could contest her.
Once a loser, but now adopting the stance of a victor, it was clear where her confidence ca from.
Damn it! Looking at this obnoxious woman across her, Amanda really wanted to whip her.
"I don't have ti to play gas with you. Now! Imdiately! Explain why the news about Hamlet was spread on a large scale.
And why bring those people here, you know what I'm talking about. I don't want to remind you, you should be clear about it yourself."
At her peak, she wanted to knock Amanda down a peg, and boast in front of her to regain lost face.
But Sela didn't anticipate Amanda's sudden move, instinctively wanting to anger.
"Amanda! I am..."
But just as she opened her mouth, a loud sound interrupted her.
Amanda was even more ferocious, lifting her hand to slam down and yell:
"What about it! What makes you think you can act here? You don't even have the qualifications to see him, which is why I'm here. You should know who I'm representing!

It was evident this was to pressure Sela.
No one in Hamlet likely knew how to deal with these Romani better than Amanda.
But by the ti Sela reacted, it was too late, her chips handed over in anxiety without value.
Trading with Hamlet profited her greatly, yet she remained discontent.
Seeing others benefit from her at her expense was worse than death.
