As soon as Anwell’s case was resolved, March was coming to an end.

Sienna Thornton sent an email to Nolan Krar with the work schedule for April, mainly to remind him that she had spent two weeks working at the Forrester Group in March, plus one week on Anwell’s case, so in April she would only dedicate one week to the Forrester Group.

The email was also cc’d to Zane Forrester, and unsurprisingly, neither Zane nor Nolan objected.

That day, Sienna Thornton finished work on ti and called Simon Forrester on the way, saying she would treat him to dinner that evening. Simon happened to be on his way ho too, so he suggested eting at the parking garage and whoever arrived first would wait for the other.

The design firm was closer to the apartnt, so Simon Forrester usually arrived first. Sienna didn’t want to keep him waiting too long and drove quite quickly.

As she drove into the garage and turned into a parking space, she saw that Simon’s black S90 had already arrived.

Sienna reversed into the space, turned off the ignition, pulled the handbrake, and grabbed her bag, ready to get out of the car. Simon Forrester had already gotten out of his car and opened her door.

She looked up and smiled at him, "Thanks! Have you been waiting long?"

"Just five minutes," he replied.

Simon naturally took the laptop bag from her hands. Seeing her fatigue, he wanted to carry her handbag too, but she refused, laughing, "What’s the point of a big man carrying a woman’s bag?" With that, she slung the bag over one shoulder and affectionately took his arm.

Although she often ordered Simon around at ho, she still cared for his image in public. To her, a well-dressed man carrying a woman’s bag in public didn’t seem suitable. Besides, her limbs were intact, and it wasn’t a heavy bag; it wasn’t necessary at all.

Once inside the elevator, Simon asked, "What made you suddenly want to treat to dinner tonight?"

"That work injury case was resolved today."

Simon was slightly surprised, "I knew you had a way, but I didn’t expect it to be so fast."

Sienna pouted, venting, "Your dad called the office early this morning, saying that if I couldn’t handle it, I’d have to have Nolan find soone else to deal with it. How could I not hurry?"

Simon: "..."

Sienna casually observed the changing floor numbers and asked, "How do you interpret your dad’s aning?"

Simon’s eyes turned a shade cooler, "To pave the way for replacing Cognitas a year from now."

Sienna was pleased, "You do understand."

She didn’t bother reminding Simon again that she wasn’t trying to sow discord between him and his father. Simon was well aware.

Originally, Bianca Fordham was also with the Forresters, and she and Zane were on the sa boat. Now that Bianca had left, it was just him and Zane. Even though they were father and son, within the Forrester Group, this lucrative business made it hard to avoid competition.

The elevator reached the food court level of the mall, and Simon escorted Sienna out. He squeezed her shoulder lightly, whispering, "You’ve worked hard. If my dad and Nolan make things difficult for you and you can’t handle it, let know anyti, and I’ll step in."

"I can manage for now," Sienna said, "but I’m not happy with Nolan over this matter. He probably noticed."

"Nolan is trickier than Steven Chapman; be careful."

Sienna nodded, saying no more as the topic concluded there.

They had dinner at a casual Japanese restaurant, then went upstairs to the cinema to watch a movie.

At the ticket counter.

Simon: "Want to watch ’P Storm’?"

Sienna: "How about ’The Tuner’?"

Both spoke at once, leaving Simon surprised, "I thought you wanted to watch the Azure Harbor film."

Sienna did want to see ’P Storm,’ but knowing Simon wanted to watch ’The Tuner,’ she said, "We’ll soon be able to watch ’P Storm’ online; let’s watch ’The Tuner’ first!"

"Sure. I wanted to see it anyway." Simon’s smile brightened as he turned to buy two central-seated tickets.

There was still over half an hour until the movie, so Sienna led Simon to the waiting area to sit. She rested her head lightly on his shoulder, silently staring into space.

Simon glanced down at her and softly asked, "Tired? Should we skip the movie and go rest early?"

"It’s because I’m tired that I want to watch a movie." She laughed, wrapping her arms around his waist, "We haven’t watched a movie together in ages. It’s always work, ho, cooking, eating, sleeping."

"Then how about this," Simon suggested, "every weekend from now on, let’s go on short trips to nearby cities, two days, one night?"

"Weekly trips are tiring. Plus, I prefer a longer overseas trip to scattered short ones nearby."

Simon chuckled, "You’re speaking my language, so it’s ti to plan that Europe trip!"

Only then did Sienna rember she’d forgotten about the Europe trip.

Thinking of how often she focused on work and sotis neglected Simon, she suddenly felt guilty, hugging his waist tightly as she softly said, "It’s lucky you insisted we live together; otherwise, with how I forget everything when busy, our love might have already...

Simon looked down at her, "Already what?"

"Broken up."

"Why assu love fading leads to breaking up?" Simon asked.

"When love fades, one or both can easily seek others out of loneliness or craving for excitent," Sienna explained earnestly, "whoever finds soone else first will call it quits. In relationships without marriage, love fades easily."

"That makes so sense," Simon said, "How about we handle the paperwork first, then you can focus on your career?"

Yet another trap.

Sienna cast him a sidelong glance, wary, "How does everything lead back to marriage with you? You’ve ntioned it so much lately, my ears are getting calluses!"

She finished, letting go of his waist, sitting up straight.

Simon didn’t reach to pull her back, instead loosening his tie, leaning back, occasionally checking the ti on the LCD screen ahead, sotis looking at her, smiling, "I don’t think I ntioned ’marriage,’ did I? I said ’paperwork,’ like engagent paperwork."

Seeing her at a loss for words, he gave her a teasing look, then laughed, "But you, assuming ’paperwork’ ant ’marriage?’ You want to marry that much? Alright then, I’m happy to oblige."

With that, he raised his brows cheekily at Sienna.

Sienna pressed her lips tightly, discreetly pinching his arm. She was about to scold him, but feeling his firm muscles and recalling the comfort of his embrace in the dark, she blushed. Pulling back, she snuggled back into his arms, softly murmuring, "That’s not what I ant... don’t ntion it again!"
