Even in the dark, Sienna Thornton could sense Simon Forrester’s helpless expression.
She believed he hadn’t done anything wrong at that ti.
Her sleep quality depends on the situation. If she’s not prepared to lie down for a proper sleep, she can’t truly relax and fall deeply asleep; she’s usually half-awake, and any slight movent would wake her up.
This habit probably started during her student years. She used to stay up late solving problems, and sotis she’d be so tired that she’d sleep at her desk for half an hour, leading to the habit of not being able to sleep well without lying in bed.
So, in such circumstances, if Simon Forrester were to touch her face, she’d notice and wake up imdiately. The reason she kept asking him what he was doing was simply to deduce his thoughts from his actions.
As it turned out, he just sat there watching her for more than an hour. For soone who drinks fresh milk every night to maintain health, being drunk and choosing to sit there and watch her instead of sleeping was quite a curious thought process.

"What else could it be?" He rested his chin on top of her head, possibly tired, with a low and deep voice, "Obviously, I’m interested in you."
"Do you like ?" She laughed, her voice soft and sweet.
"Yes. I think I did at that ti."
Simon Forrester never ntioned when he started liking her; at most, he said once to make her happy that he thought she was beautiful the first ti he saw her.
She always thought they accidentally kissed on that night in Norport, which sparked his interest, but that wasn’t the case.
He liked her earlier than she thought.
Thinking about being secretly liked by him brought back that cloud-like soft, dizzy feeling.
She was filled with warmth, holding him, and gently asked, "Since you liked , why did you just watch?"
"Because of respect."
He held her face, "From the mont you moved into my ho, knowing you’re single, I’ve wanted to be with you every day – it’s a man’s instinct. But I won’t let impulsiveness take over. Instinct is the lowest level; above it are your feelings, your emotions. I care about everything about you, so I’m willing to bear it and wait."
His thoughts and actions were in harmony, even though they lived together for over a month and were both single, he never deliberately flirted with her due to his own desires besides that one ti when he was drunk, and he never had unnecessary physical contact.
At first, she thought he was naturally cold and abstinent, but after they confird their relationship, she realized he seed abstinent because he behaved with decorum and self-respect.

Understanding his heart, Sienna Thornton only felt she loved him even more.
She hugged him tightly and kissed him tenderly, wanting to love him fiercely, but he still held her closely in his warm embrace.
"It’s too cold; you’ll catch a cold," he said.
"But you..." she hinted.
He laughed helplessly, "Didn’t you understand what I just said?"
"I..." she mumbled softly, "But I want it."

As soon as Sienna Thornton finished work at five, she got into Maeve’s nanny car. She was going to the "Lawyer Speaks" program eting that evening.
She initially planned to take Simon Forrester with her, but Maeve’s agent was so enthusiastic, having made arrangents with her days in advance, saying that Maeve’s team would unconditionally support her during the program recording because she’s Maeve’s best friend.

Ingrid held the lid of the thermos, warmly looking at Sienna Thornton, and remarked, "To be honest, what’s happened to Maeve this past week is sothing ordinary stars wouldn’t experience in a lifeti."
