As the nail polish cap was screwed on, Simon Forrester looked up at Sienna Thornton, his gaze focused and sharp, as if trying to see through everything hidden within her: "Harvard didn’t give a full scholarship, so Thomas Reed sends money to your account every month?"
"Ha," Sienna t his gaze, smiling coldly, "If I were taking money from Partner Reed, would I still be living in an old shabby apartnt without an elevator?"
Simon raised his eyebrows at her, his eyes seemingly saying—poor living conditions don’t negate the possibility of Thomas Reed sending you money.
He didn’t say it aloud, but Sienna could easily catch his thought.
Sienna originally didn’t want to bring up the Mrs. Reed incident again, but considering Simon Forrester helped her in front of Mrs. Reed that night, she made an exception to explain.
"You mustn’t have forgotten," Sienna’s smile was full, "A while back, a woman ca with a forged absurdly high-value agreent signed by you, accusing you of not only assaulting her but also breaching a settlent agreent, demanding millions in settlent fees? And the result?"
Upon hearing this, Simon Forrester’s expression imdiately beca one as if he had eaten sothing foul.
"So, you still think Mrs. Reed got a few bank statents from sowhere that can prove I have an immoral relationship with your cousin Thomas Reed?" Sienna’s lips still maintained a faint smile, showing no anger at this matter.
If it were any other woman, faced with sothing that could ruin their reputation, even if they didn’t file a lawsuit, they would use other thods to prove their innocence, like dragging Thomas Reed out to confront. Let alone Sienna, a lawyer, making Mrs. Reed suffer would be simple.
Regarding this matter, Sienna’s response was different from other won. Simon Forrester was even quite eager to see how she would handle it next.
If Sienna really were Thomas Reed’s mistress, when it ca to the guesthouse design, she wouldn’t need to go around, she could just ask for Thomas Reed to help her connect directly.
But apparently, Thomas Reed is unaware of her plans with the guesthouse.
Simon Forrester guessed that Sienna was being falsely accused by Thomas Reed. Knowing Mrs. Reed, she must have believed those bank statents were real and obtained them from what she thought was a reliable source.
Consider, for a ticulous lawyer like Thomas Reed, how could he let his spouse casually access his phone, easily open his online banking, and sneak a shot of his personal transfer records?
But Simon Forrester didn’t ntion these to Sienna, leaving behind a "Rember to turn off the light," before retreating coldly into the study.
Sienna made a funny face at his back and went back to her room.
She had to get more things to bother Simon Forrester, making him feel his life was greatly impacted, so he’d be willing to ask for help.
Soon, Sienna dug out an old unused body lotion from her bag, then went to knock on the study door.
When Simon Forrester opened the door again, his expression was impatient, and his tone was sowhat harsh: "What now?"
Sienna took out the orange blossom-scented body lotion, smiling innocently: "Auntie King used to help apply body lotion every night, now she’s not here, and I have no others to help..."
Simon Forrester glanced back at the clock on the table, thinking of how much ti had been wasted tonight with Sienna’s playful antics and his work progress being delayed, his mood instantly turned very irritable.
He slamd the study door shut heavily, stared at Sienna’s face for a mont, then laughed: "You’ve pulled so many tricks tonight, what is it you really want?"
"I want my friend to co help!"
"No way!" Simon Forrester refused firmly, "I said, no way I’m letting people freely in and out of my house."
"Isn’t this about I need soone to help with the body lotion?"
